Description of Work: My husband and I were looking for our very first home with a list of must-haves on a small budget. We didn't know the first thing about purchasing a home! Linda was recommended to us by several people and we were told by each of them that she would walk us through the process, teach us and take great care of us. Linda did all of things, and more! She went above and beyond to turn our first home buying experience into a great one. She found a great selection of properties for us to consider, helped us narrow down what was really important and found us the perfect home...in our price range! Now let me mention that our purchase was a Short Sale. Most people run screaming from a short sale but Linda is the absolute pro (as was confirmed by three different banks we shopped our loan to)! The selling agent had little or no short sale experience so she helped him through the process and deadlines and shared her vast knowledge to help the process go smoothly for everyone (including all of the seller's clients from now on with what he learned from her). Our initial lender fell through with a longer than expected close time. Being newbies, we didn't know what to do. We were afraid of losing the house. Linda stepped in to help us and, at the last minute, helped us find a replacement lender that gave us even better rates! We closed and were moved into the house in exactly 60 days after the short sale was approved. Unheard of! I'm not sure what other agents help out with but she gathered the list of utility companies and suggested when to give them a call to switch things over. We would have had no idea who to contact or when to transfer into our name without her help. I'm sure I'm leaving some of the other ways she went above and beyond out, but I will end with letting you know she sent us a 1st month anniversary card and a 3rd month anniversary plant to congratulate us on our brand new home. I can say with all certainty that we would NOT have a new home and would still be in an apartment (paying more in rent than the cost of our mortgage) if it were not for Linda's expertise, kindness, professionalism and patience. We knew nothing and she took us by the hand and made it happen for us. I can't say it any other way than if you are in the market to buy or sell a home, you need Linda on your side!
