Set appointments for estimate and work that were convenient - which was really appreciated. Arrived on time and cleaned area after work completed. Professional, knowledgeable and courteous.

Love the bonsai'd pine trees! Unfortunately, they delayed coming to do the work for several weeks until they were in my area on other job(s). This disappointed me because I had asked them to come when my new landscape was cleared and ready for planting. They came after the planting had already been done and the gorilla hair mulch laid down. Consequently, I felt anxious while they were working least they step on any of the plants. After they finished, I had a hard time restraining their helper from raking up dead pine needles and taking half the newly-laid, expensive mulch with it. Very difficult to separate pine needles from mulch so I've had to live with all the pine needles under the 3 pine trees.

I was extremely pleased with the way the tree looked when they were finished! Throughout the whole process, they were very nice about listening to any suggestions or concerns that I had. They also did a fantastic job of cleaning up all the branches, leaves, etc. that were removed. This was the third time over the past four years that I have used the services provided by The Branch. They are always very professional and do quality work for what I consider reasonable prices. I am comparing their prices to those of my former tree service person who had begun to charge some outrageous amounts for the work he and his crew did. I'm so glad that I found The Branch, and I do highly recommend them!

We are very happy with the work done by The Branch. Derek Long provided helpful suggestions, listened to our preferences, and was willing to schedule the work on days we were able to take off from our jobs. He and his crew complied with our request to leave many of the branches that we would use for kindling that The Branch normally would grind. We appreciate that the crew did this because it takes more time to stack the branches than if they just ground them. They respected our property and gardens, and did a thorough job of cleaning up. We definitely recommend Derek Long and his company, The Branch.

We found him through Angie’s List and he was great to work with. Although he was not in our price bracket, he was very professional and timely. We called him since and had some discussions with him about some work. He was very knowledgeable and we would definitely recommend him.

They did exactly what they said they would do, showed up on time, and cleaned up completely. They also scheduled me in within a few days. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Love these guys. I called and got a prompt appointment with Derek. (like, same day!) He arrived on time, was professional, knowledgeable and the quote was around what I was expecting. Explained my time line (I was having other work done in a couple weeks and had to get the trees done beforehand.) Within a week I had my trees trimmed. 2 people came to do the work and were also on time, professional and did excellent work. (Derek even called to let me know that the job they were on was taking a little bit longer and they would arrive at the later end of our time window) The trees were trimmed up expertly and now they are healthy and beautiful. They've never looked so nice! Everything was cleaned up well and the guys were in and out in no time at all. I've been doing a lot of work recently to my home and so have been dealing with many different contractors lately. It can be so hard to find a good company. This was by far my best experience. These guys were a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stressful month. I never had to worry, they stayed in touch with me throughout the project. They are total professionals. I will absolutely use them again. On a side note. I'm really happy I got my trees trimmed by an Arborist instead of just letting my landscapers handle it. I had gotten them done a couple of years ago by a regular landscaper and you'd think it wouldn't matter... I mean, how hard is it to trim a palm tree? But these guys are experts and it really made such a difference.

Derek and Trevor did a great job on our project. They did excellent and very professional work. Everything was done exactly as I would've hoped. They also went the extra mile for us. They're stump grinder (which they operate extremely well) could only get within a few inches of our fence with out damaging it. When we later had the fence guy come out and remove (and replace) the fence, we had The Branch come back out to stump grind the rest of the roots. They did an excellent job and worked within a narrow few hour window (from the time the fence was removed, until the time the fence guy would start to install the new fence). I was very impressed with their professionalism and I definitely appreciate them coming back out to grind those roots and how gracious they were in handling that entire situation. I highly recommend them without hesitation and will definitely be referring them to others! Also, the carrot wood tree they pruned is now doing very well and even has new growth coming in!

The Branch is a rare find in that they are more than a landscape company. My bid was $1,200.00 which was the low bid of three. I wanted a lot of weeding and brush clearance done with the arbor work and went with a higher bid of $1,750.00 because the landscape company was willing to do the weeding, and brush clearance I needed. The Branch only bid in the tree work which was fair. Unfortunately I needed a lot of manuel labor which The Branch did not include in the bid. He recommended I hire a landscape guy. I wanted to get the whole thing done in 2 days so went with the hire bid with the weeding and brush clearance. They are experts in tree pruning and care. Extremely knowledgeable and professional.

I was very pleased. They did a great job. The trees look good and the trimmed the underneath branches. They have a truck to remove all of the debris from your home. Their cleanup is very good. They have new and professional equipment and approached the job very professionally. My neighbor asked me for their information as well. Derek is very knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a tree professionally trimmed.

As far as I can remember, they did a good job. I remember no problems with their work.

The crew arrived on time and went over the work to be done. They were friendly and professional and went right to work. I was impressed with the speed that they completed their work. They did a very good job of cleaning up the area where they had been working and hauled away all of the trimmings.

They were excellent on keeping the branches and mess in our yard and not in our not-so-nice neighbor's yard. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up the entire mess. Thanks to Derek for informing us about the trees with invasive roots. I will definitely call him again.

Workers arrived promptly and completed the work in a timely and professional manner including clean up.

After conducting research on Angie's list to locate a tree service company I contacted the owner and left a message explaining that I had a significant amount of bushes and scrubs that I needed trimmed, a tree removed, and could I make an appointment to have him stop by our residence, take a look and provide me an estimate. The following morning he contacted me at about 0930 AM and stated he could come by around 1100-1130 as he would be in the Oceanside area. We agreed on the time and he promptly showed. I walked him thru our front yard discussing the removal of a tree, bush, and the cleaning up of the Bogainvilleas'. We then proceeded to our back yard to discuss the trimming of over 30 years of very thick and intense bushes that lined 50' of our fence line, as well as disucussed the cleaning and trimming of our fruit trees, and the removal of one large tree that had caused the fruit tree in its infancy not to fully develop. Once all discussions were finished the owner provided me an estimate to complete the work and stated it would be a week or week and half for them to schedule our work. We agreed on the estimate and I told him I looked forward to a start date. Within 48 hours he called and stated they could do the work on Wed the day prior to Thanksgiving, I stated this was great since that date would have been under a week since I had left my first message. I stated on the phone that over-all the work I wanted done, had mostly remained the same, but explained that I had decided to completely remove the intense bushes vice simply trimming them and did he see an issue with this, if not then could it be discussed prior to them starting the morning of execution once they arrived so that everyone is clear. He stated no issue. So the day of service started with his crew and himself showing up on time at 0800 and the first thing he and I did was walk the ground again, discuss the changes, agreed that the over-all estimate would change a bit, agreed on a new price and the work began. The owner and his crew were nothing but professional and friendly, very proficient, and wasted no time making progress. As they progressed if at anytime there was a question or clarification needed they stopped and the owner and I discussed it prior to them moving on. The care in which they took to clean our fruit trees and other trees were exceptional!!!! Regarding the tree that had stunned the growth of the fruit tree, prior to automatically cutting it down the crew stopped and we discussed elminating the branches that were the main problem, cleaning it up see what I thought and then determine if I still wanted it to be completely removed. Well I can tell you that I liked the tree and intially saw no other option but to take it out, however, by the end of the day, my tree was saved and my fruit tree is now able to receive the appropriate sun needed and was cleaned up so all its energy can be directed to growing properly! They were very careful of all my trees and additonal plants or making sure they did not damage anything while working. It was a lot of work but within 8 hours the work was complete, my yard was free of all debris created during the process including the sweeping and blowing of my sidewalk in front of my house! Once all work was complete, the owner and I discussed a price adjustment since they did not remove the one tree, all was agreed to with no issues whatsoever. I am very, very pleased with the work, professionalism, and care that was displayed by "TheBranch" Tree service and would recommend them to anyone who wants consumate professionals WHO CARE!!!!!!

The service was fine overall. We only used their services for basic tree removal. They were very responsive with any requests along the way, were inexpensive, cleaned up after themselves and got the job done.

We reviewed tree companies on Angie's List and found The Branch. When we called The Branch, the owner, Derrick, agreed to come over to our house the next day for an estimate. The next day he arrived on time! Derrick walked around our yard and identified each bush,tree, and shrub then offered us an estimate. It was apparent that Derrick has substantial knowledge about arboriculture. We arranged a date to have the work completed. The day arrived and so did Derrick, Trevor and one more person (can not remember his name) on time . As they began it was obvious they took great care to carefully extract only the unwanted growths. They also put up a partition to shield the pool from errant tree debris falling into the pool water. When they were done they raked and cleaned up the yard and removed all evidence of excess growths. We would also like to note that Trevor is Derricks son. Trevor was polite, smart and clearly takes great pride in his work and more importantly his Dad! It was actually a very pleasant experience to have the work completed professionally but more important it was an extremely sweet experience to witness the bond between father and son!

We have been using them for several years. They do an excellent job!

Their service has been good. We are getting ready to have them return to do more work such as tree removal.

I called on Derek on a Thursday and he returned the call later that day. He came out the next morning to give me an estimate. He said he would be able to do the work the following week and would call a few days before. He called on Sunday and said they might be able to start on Monday. They arrived around 11:30 and worked the rest of the day. Derek actually did the work on the pine tree and he had someone else working on the Podocarpus. He wasn't able to finish the pine tree that day and returned the next morning to finish. He did forget about removing the apricot tree until I reminded him, but it was a small job. They cleaned up quite well and did a great job on the trees. I was impressed that Derek actually does the work himself and that he took on the most challenging tree. They were surprisingly quiet considering the work they were doing and were very efficient in their work. I definitely recommend them and will use them again.

They still look like trees, the wind can still blow through them. I was very pleased with him. He was very professional, clean up was fantastic.
