Chimney Clean Company

Overall it went very well. He called before the appointment time to let us know he was running about a half hour late.

I've been putting off having the chimneys cleaned because the last company back in 2004 left my house in a mess with soot everywhere! I had just cleaned the house and here I was having to clean all over again. I chose this company from the reports that I had read and I found them VERY professional. Danny arrived and did a phenomenal job. I mentioned that I was leery of having soot flying all over and he taped up the fireplaces really well with drape and went up on the roof and cleaned them out from up above. He also noticed an issue with the upstairs chimney and wrote it on our invoice and said the owner would contact me and come out to view it for himself and whether they would be able to fix it. Mr. Jutus called back and checked it out. Unfortunately, we will need a contractor and he mentioned one that deals with chimneys. I would use and will use this company again in the future.

I have used this company for the past 6 years to clean and inspect my fireplace. The consummate professionals, always on time, extremely meticulous (leaves their work area cleaner than when they arrived). I also like that regardless of who they send out - they always know what has been done in years previous. I also like and appreciate the fact they do not try to pressure you into buying other services. If warranted, they will make recommendations, provide an estimate and allow you to make a decision at your own pace.

They were very polite, professional and did a nice job cleaning up when they were finished. I thought that the fireplace and dryer were in good working order when they were done. They were easy to schedule service with and I would gladly recommend them to others.

He was on time, polite and knowledgeable. The fireplace was sealed off and he put mats on the floor.

He told me that at some point the main fireplace burned some pine or redwood and left some heavy soot as a result. He cleaned that and asked me what we burned during the winter and I told him bay, oak, and almond which he said were perfectly fine woods to burn; but to never burn any softwoods like had been done before. He also told us that he had been to our house when the previous owners had been there (he remembered the house and the huge redwood that sits through our front deck) and told us to cut back the deck around the redwood because it was lifting up the deck and would destroy it if we didn't give the redwood some more space. He said he told the previous owners that also; but obviously, they didn't listen. After he left, I looked at the deck and the redwood and he was right! So, now this is a new chore on the "honey do" list.

They were great! The guy noticed that I needed an extra cap on the other chimney and did it with no problems or no extra cost. I am very pleased with their service.

They are very clean and neat. The work was all done very professionally. They checked out the chimneys and told me what I need as far as extra work. I was pleased with the service because they were so thorough and honest. My house was so clean when they left and they left a great impression on me.

Did try to change the prearranged appointment time at the last minute, but when they did come the worker was quick, courteous and thorough. Went to great lengths to secure opening to ensure no soot came into house.

There was one person that came out to do the work. He did show up on time and was very professional. He was actually the owner of the company. I was very happy with the work and I am planning on using him next year. I thought the price was good, too.

The roof on my house is very steep. He was not able to get on top to clean it completely. He was very honest about this problem though and he only charged me half price because of this. He cleaned it the best he could. I was pleased with him. I have had that problem before with other chimney sweeping companies.

The employee was very knowledgeable of the job and did the job quite well. The only thing was that he was somewhat socially inept in that, his conversations did not relate to the job at hand. I hired him specifically to clean and inspect my chimney, rather than making conversation.

I am going to have them return on an on-going basis because we use our fireplace a lot. I thought that their price was very reasonable and they showed up on time as well. Overall I thought that they did a really good job.

Josh showed up right on time and proceeded to get to work. He pulled out the dryer and started vacuuming and sweeping the ducting. Unfortunately, the access to the exhaust vent is right behind 2 cacti but Josh had a board that he braced between the vent and the cacti and he was able to gain access. He checked to make sure that heat was venting out of the dryer before he left. The whole job was complete in 30 minutes. I am very happy with every aspect of this job. Very clean and very fast.

My husband loves the guy who did the chimney work. He is very funny and knowledgeable. He explained all the details about what he was doing to my husband. He invited my husband to get on the roof and showed him how he preformed his works. My husband learned a lot from him. We'll definitely use this company again!

I was pleased with my experience with the company. The appointment scheduling and follow-up were very professional. The person doing the work arrived on time and was quick and thorough.

Employee was 1/2 hour early; which was okay since we were there. They spread a drop cloth down to catch what ever came out of the fireplace. Explained process, identified fire hazard because chimney was not attached to house. Left house clean.

Josh arrived right on time, very professional and efficient. Upon inspecting chimney outside, found it to be broken; showed me exactly how and where, also explained how it would be fixed, gave me a referral for the work. Was very clean and quick.

We called on a Friday and they had an opening the next day. They showed up right on schedule, and seemed very professional.

Josh arrived on time. Very professional attitude. Asked questions to determine history and my concerns regarding a recent chimney fire. He was careful to drape all areas to be cleaned in order to contain any debris from the fireplace cleaning. He fully inspected the chimney from the firebox as well as from the rooftop. The chimney did not require cleaning, but he cleaned the damper area and firebox. He made sure to clean up after himself and left no trace of debris. He offered preventive maintenance tips. Very positive experience. I would not hesitate to hire and recommend this company to others.

Great, very clean, very informative. I knew that additional work was required (from house inspection report). He used pictures to show what work had to be done and the finished result.

We recently moved into the house and wanted it examined and swept before using. Although we paid for the fact that this was a two-story building (the second floor being higher), they were not able to examine the chimney on top and report on the state. The sweeper did not have a tall enough ladder. While the person whom I talked to warned about the possibility, I thought they would come back and deal with the top. No followup to do so. We will insist in the future before using them again. Otherwise, did a good job from the inside.

Very good experience, very friendly professional who explained everything he did. Why he did it. Gave his honest opinion. With your usage you only need to check and clean the chimney every 3 years.

I am very pleased! I chose them specifically because of all the positive ratings on here and they did a terrific job. My only "complaint" is that the technician arrived about 1/2 an hour early. Since the appointment was first thing in the morning, I wasn't quite dressed and ready for him. However, I'd much rather have him be early than late!
