Rich was very professional and very clean. Said the project would be completed by 6-7 and they were finished by mid day as they told us. Everything was put back in its proper place and we are quite satisfied.

They came early and did what they said they would do. Very professional and they referred us to another tradesman when they found an issue that was out of their wheelhouse

This contractor was prompt, courteous and thorough. He called to let me know he was going to be a bit later than what we scheduled and the job was complete in under three hours. I was told by another general contractor that the materials I had wouldn t work But Rich told me they would and explained how. I am absolutely very pleased And have already recommended him to a neighbor

My house needed wood tied in to the existing wood floor in front of the fireplace after we removed the hearth, AND needed the step-down into the 1970s sunken living room made safer so folks would be less likely to fall off as soon as they walked in the door. Rich absolutely takes care of the basics: being polite, showing up on time, leaving the work areas cleaned up every day, attempting dust control, following through on his word, taking the unexpected in stride. And he is a true artist, listening to the goals of the project and suggesting ways to accomplish them to maximize function and beauty. He also fixed a couple of areas where previous contractors did not do the work to code. He and David are trustworthy, do excellent work and are genuinely nice guys. I will hire them again.

They responded quickly to my request and were able to fit my small job into their schedule quickly. Rich had to match a new area to an existing floor. The color was tricky but he made sure to match the new section with the existing floor.

Rich and his team just finished refinishing our kitchen, family room, dining room, foyer and hallway. When I first started calling companies to get a quote, Rich responded to my message almost instantly. He promptly came out to give his estimate and we hired him to do the work. We felt very comfortable with his expertise, experience and knowledge during the estimate and were confident that he would do a good job. He was very flexible and worked to match our requested timeline. We had to change the work dates by a few days and he accommodated that. He finished the work on the exact day he said it would be done, and the move-in day was the same as he had indicated. This was important to us, as we had a dinner event coming up and wanted to be sure the furniture would be ready to move back in by a certain date. But most important, the floors look GREAT!!!!!! Impeccably done and exactly what we wanted. We had discussed that I wanted a natural look, no colored stain, and more of a matte versus shiny finish. They turned out exactly like I had envisioned and we are really happy! I would wholeheartedly recommend Rich for any flooring work!

Rich recently installed 450 sq ft. of new hardwood floor in our Los Altos home to match an existing 750 sq. ft. floor and refinished both with a clear commercial grade floor finish. The short version is, we were delighted with the work done by Rich and his team. First, it was really clear he wanted you to get something you were happy with. He was especially helpful when we were unsure on how to proceed. Instead of “You should do X”, He would thoughtfully consider what we were trying to sort out, offered a range of options, both pros and cons, answered our questions, and then let us decide. If we asked him his opinion, he would offer it, but always with the caveat, “but it’s really your choice.” Next, Rich is an experienced professional who takes pride in his work. He suggested finishing touches that were far more imaginative than other contractors we talked to. He spent several hours over several days, making a custom fit frame around the fireplace with wider Red Oak boards, specially fit to match the detailed contours of the fireplace at floor level. Looks fantastic. Also, for Rich it’s got to be straight, square, flat and just so, to meet his own demanding standards. He found a number of issues with the way our original floor was finished and then fixed them all. Lastly, his team was polite, considerate, and clean. They picked up a mess as they made it and the vacuums he uses are virtually dust free. We quoted four flooring companies, each of whom had their own approach. He had the best price, as well.

Rick and his team did an outstanding job. They were attentive to every small detail. They worked diligently and actually finished our job ahead of schedule. The end result is we now have a beautiful floor.
