In addition to my previous comments. Their techniques for cutting and removing the tree were done with the highest safety standards so as not to infringe upon the neighbors yard and property. Excellent ! Good Job!

Original appointment was not for several months, then Joseph changed it and forgot to notify me. I only found out when I called the day it was supposed to happen to ask if he needed any other details. I also asked him to resend me the original invoice he'd sent several months prior, but instead he just made up a new one that seemed to be a little higher than his first quote. I didn't feel I got any value for my "coupon". The orange tree was ok but they didn't even clear the branches that were hitting our patio cover. Didn't think I'd need to be so specific and mention that. The magnolia is beautiful but the crushed several bushes and left a few large brances laying around. Mostly, I was disappointed that the owner didn't do the job himself as he had implied. I don't know if the guys who did the work were arborists, or if I just paid a higher price because the owner is. And having read his previous reviews, I'm sure he'll come back with justification for all of this - much more timely than his other communications.

Used Angie?s deal - $400 of service for $199. Cost of service includes the $199. Joseph gave me the bid in September. He was professional and easy to work with. Included ?sucker? removal and treatment for no additional cost in bid. Because of backlog, work was not scheduled until about a month later. Work crew (3 men) arrived 15 minutes early, went right to work and did added trimming to neighbors pepper tree - at no additional cost. Left everything neat and tidy. Very Satisfied! Would use them again. Highly recommended!

Tree trimming was well done. But some of the guys used my gate to vault into the yard( I saw as I was driving up to the house). The gate no longer closed correctly, because it scraped the marble tile. I had to physically lift in order to open or close.( with my wrist in a cast). I have hired a wrought iron gate maker to repair the damage, altho the scrapes on the marble will stay. The contractor offered no compensation. So this did not turn out to be a "big deal" at all, and will cost me more . So even though I was happy with the actual work done, I feel the contractor should have taken responsibility for the damage done, and he made no effort to do so.

It took him a long time to get to me after the initial offering as he had such a great response to the ad. In that time the palm trees continued to dump their blossoms which make a mess, but after seeing his job, I'd wait for him. He continually was in contact via phone.

The service was excellent. They did a good job and we are very satisfied with the work.

The provider did not perform any work. They did show up for ONE scheduled appointment to give me an estimate (after canceling once).

When they came out for an estimate, I had him give me an estimate for all of my trees and felt they were very high. My other trees were done at a much lower price and look great.

Coastal was a little overwhelmed by the response they received to their special, so there was some confusion getting coordinated for a time to get an estimate for the work I needed done. Once we finally set a date to do the work, they arrived on time and worked efficiently. Why such a low evaluation? The workers left the gate to the yard blocked open, and my large (85 lbs) dogs got out. I received a call at my office from a neighbor a few blocks from home, and I had to leave work to get them. Fortunately, there was no damage done, no one was hurt, but one dog is quite fearful and we never know how he will react to strangers. It could have gone SO wrong.

The gentleman came out to my house and told me that my home was too far outside his service area. I appreciated that he explained this to me in person, and I found another company to do the work.

Everything went well. It was an extensive job that took the entire day, but they were very knowledgeable and did excellent work. Furthermore, they cleaned everything up and left the area immaculate after finishing. The tree looks beautiful.

It was a good experience. He arrived on time, did a quality job, and cleaned up after he had finished. I also appreciated that he protected the plants around the trees. The only issue involves some credits that need to be applied to the final bill, and I'm wating to hear back from him.

They trimmed a pepper tree near the house. We had some trouble connecting - I was out of town, then they were out of town. But eventually we connected. As far as the actual work, they did a good job. They cut what they said they would cut, and they chipped, shredded and removed the debris. They maybe could have cleaned up a little better but overall good job. I thought they were a little overpriced even considering the Angie's list coupon for $400 worth of tree cutting for $200. We spent an extra $350 trimming extra stuff on the tree. $300/hour is pretty steep for tree services in my opinion. They shredded some extra brush/branches I had previously cut - but by paying "by the hour" it was worth it to do that. Overall - if you want good work done and are willing to pay for it, Coastal does a good job.

Coastal Tree Service did an excellent job in removing a tree in our yard. They were on time and very professional. They worked very fast and it didn't take long and the tree was gone. This included grinding the stump and removing the roots.

I was very pleased with my initial meeting with Joseph. We walked around my property and identified work that I wanted to be done. There was more work than I thought I could afford at the time, so I selected the most important tasks. His initial quote was extremely fair in my estimation and I signed a contract. His crew arrived at the designated time, was professional and polite. I thought Joseph would be on site and when I asked was told that he would be by later. Joseph did come to the site on both days to evaluate and direct his crew and he was very responsive to calls when I had questions. Several hours into the first day, Joseph offered me a good price for the remaining work, which I accepted. I was extremely pleased with the work on the initial contract. The trees looked nice and the crew did a wonderful job of cleanup. I was pleased with the additional work but did not feel it was as good as the first work. I had a large tree removed from my side yard and it was done efficiently, however, the person who was to grind the stump did not come on the scheduled day because of equipment problems. (I was advised of the problem and told that if he didn't make it that day, he would be there the next day around 1:00 pm.) The grinder did not show and I was not called. I called Joseph and he said the machine broke and the grinder would be here the next day. The grinder came, did his job and left without clean-up or notification when he left. I called Joseph and he said this was normally not a problem because the grinder usually came when his crew was on-site and they did the clean-up. After a short discussion, I agreed that my gardener could finish the clean-up. This was the only negative occurrence in my dealings with this company. I would use this company again but would not agree to the same stump grinder. Joseph has said he is in the process of getting his own equipment so that he doesn't need to sub the work. I would gladly use Coastal Tree Care again if Joseph had control of all aspects of the job.

Very clean work. Joseph was very accommodating with my schedule and his crew were extremely professional.

At first I was satisfied with the service provided. But at closer inspection, I don't think I got my money's worth. A lot of the trimmings were left behind, including the ground down stumps. A lot more clearance could have been done for the amount of money I paid for these services.

Provider was a bit overwhelmed with the response he got from his Hot Deal. On the up-sell for additional service quoted quite a few things; ended up just getting a stump removed and some fence line trimming done. Decent for a Hot Deal; provider had to contact us to recall the job details (hadn't taken detailed enough notes). Overall did OK, not knock your socks off service.

First of all, Joseph is an arborist familiar with the different species of trees. It was clear from our first meeting that we had hired an expert. He was punctual, professional, the work done as advertised, and the yard left cleaner than when he began. For his level of service, we felt Joseph provided excellent value. If quality matters, you can do no better.

Excellent. Joseph contacted me after I made the purchase and arranged to visit and scope the job. On the day of the job, he arrived right on time and proceeded to trim and feather the trees in very short order. He even came back a week later to trim the alder a bit more when my wife and I realized that some of the limbs were still a bit too close to the house. Very satisfied with the work done and would use Coastal Tree Service again in a heartbeat.

Provider missed first appointment for estimate. Second estimate appointment was punctual and courteous but we could not agree on cost of the job.

Due to success of Angie's list special offer, we didn't get the job done for a number of weeks from initial contact. Once service date was set though, everything proceeded smoothly other than a small delay in the workers showing up an hour past their scheduled arrival time. The 3 men on the job proceeded efficiently though and were done including full cleanup in 90 minutes. The workers checked in during the process to make sure that they were shaping and trimming to our satisfaction. The arborist checked the work after completion and my wife and I are completely satisfied that they did what we needed them to do.

I did not use Coastal Tree Care. They are probably very good, but their bid came in much higher than several other tree services that I have used in the past. So, I am going to use one of them instead. I informed Joe of that, and he was willing to give me some consideration as an Angie's customer. I appreciate that he did try to work with me, but I am on a tight budget so must allocate my resources accordingly.

Joseph called mid-September to schedule an estimate for tree service. He arrived on time and provided a detailed writen estimate. Which was great so I could show it to my husband and we could decide on service together. Joseph is well versed aa a Certified Arborist. He knew what each tree was, and what should be done. He stated he was scheduling for October. I explained that I would need this done by second week of October. He advised me to schedule soon, in order to fit me in to the time table I required. I called him the next morning before 9am and left a message for scheduling. He phoned later the same day to let me know I'm scheduled for early October. I expect the job to done well from all that has taken place up to this point. I will update review once job is completed. Adam and crew arrived on time. Very professional and we went through the job to be done. They began at once. They cut and trimmed as discussed along with some recommendations that I agreed to. They have the equipment to dispose of the the tree clippings. They cleaned up as well. After completion, Adam went through it with me to make sure I was happy with the work before signing off and leaving. I will hire Coastal Tree Service again!
