They were very good. We went with them because they offered the best price. They will beat anybody's price. They had excellent product. They had wonderful customer service. They were on time and they just did a great job. I was very happy with the work they did. I would say they do great job for great price.

They had to return to fill in space that they left under the fence that would allow a small animal to go under to the neighbor's yard and they also had to come back to put a better quality lock on the gate. They returned the next day to make the improvements we requested with no problem at all.

He gave us a very thorough estimate with a really good breakdown of different types of materials and the different portions of the fence that we were sharing with the neighbor. He did a good job with the paperwork up front. The materials were excellent, and his workmen came and finished when they said they would. They even worked in the pouring rain. There was a section of fence that my neighbor had forgotten to mention, and they waited and added that on for her. They made it very easy for me to work with her. They were able to bill us separately. They were very professional. He is contracted, and he gave me his contract number up front.

He came out and did the estimate. At the beginning he was very responsive and nice, but then he ended up going on vacation and didn't inform me of that. When he finally got back and we got a hold of him, he found that he had lost the estimate. He did come back out and do the estimate again, though, but we decided to go another route because his price was a little higher than some others.

I called Bear and requested someone come to my house and give me an estimate on an iron fence. The person stated that Jeff Behr was the estimator for my area, but he would not be in until the following week. The person stated she would leave a message for him to call and arrange for an estimate. When I did not hear from anyone by the middle of the following week, I called again and the person who answered said she would contact Jeff. More than two weeks have passed and I still have not heard from them. This is extremely unprofessional behavior and I would not recommend them.

Jeremy from Bear Fence came to our location in Imperial Beach and was on time and professional. After seeing what we wanted done we received their quote via email the same day. We prices the job with three contractors and Bear Fence quoted the lowest price. The day scheduled for the work the crew showed up on time and completed the job with minimal direction and no supervision. The completed fence looks great and we are very happy. I'm already planning on Bear doing more work.

I think the price quoted was not out of line with what other, larger fence companies would charge and Bear probably competes with the big guys regularly. Their contract seemed pretty sophisticated. I think they're good guys who would deliver a good final product. Also, they may have been willing to negotiate the price if I had asked. Estimated cost was $3,500.

Very responsive and easy to work with. No problem modifying plans or working with two other neighbors. Process was well-coordinated, fast, efficient and they cleaned up well.

Jeff is sometimes hard to get on the phone and repeated calls were needed to schedule a visit for a quote and to schedule the work. Once we were on the calendar, his crew showed up on time, worked efficiently and did a great job on time. Our fence was shared with two neighbors and one of our neighbors wanted Jeff to install other fencing on her property and consequently Jeff was willing to split the bill between us so we didn't need to chase our neighbor for payment of her share. This turned out to be valuable because our neighbor sought several adjustments to her project and this insulated us from the disputes.

The estimator came out a couple of days after we first called. He was very nice, explained exactly what they were going to do and answered all of our questions. We received our estimate the same day. On the scheduled day two workers arrived right on time. They worked quickly and efficiently. They cleaned everything up when they were done. If it wasn't for the fact that the fence was there, I would not have been able to tell that anything had been disturbed. Because of the configuration of mine and my neighbors property, there was a gap of about 10 or 12 inches between my old fence and the wall. My dog was able to get out and we had to put in a makeshift barrier. The Bear Fence guys put in an extra post and fixed it so that the gap is no longer there. I was really pleased that they took that extra step. I had also received an estimate from San Diego Fence but decided against using them because Bear fence's estimate was much better and is a member of the BBB and San Diego Fence is not.

It went exactly as promised. They arrived on time and completed the job when they promised. Billing was simple and straight forward. Since a part of the cost of the fence was shared by a neighbor, the company billed them separately and did not ask us to collect the money.

They are great. I refer everyone to them. They are real nice guys and they do what they say when they say they are going to do it.

Very well. Price matched estimate. Work was done VERY quickly. Only a few hours. After only a few weeks. Amazingly quickly. Minimal disruption. Top quality. Exactly what I needed. All promises kept. Highly recommended. The only thing they didn't do was spray the fence with something to deflect water. Also, I asked him NOT to post a ''Bear Fence'' sign on the fence and he agreed to do that, no problem.

I was very impressed with this company. A representative came out promptly and gave an estimate that was very competitive. A date for installation was agreed upon and everything went so smoothly from start to finish. I would not hesitate in recommending this company.

The bidding representative showed up right on time. The receipt of bid and follow up bids were slow as the representative was not internet/email savvy, as a result all the bids went U.S. mail, adding 3-4 weeks to timing. The work crew showed up on time and were professional. The work was superb though pricey for what was done (approx 2 men working for around 4 hours). By the way, this is the second time I have used them. The first was outstanding and occurred back in 03.

Great outfit. This was the best estimate. Honored the Angies List discount and performed the work immediately, as requested.

Jeremy Blackburn returned my call about an hour after I left him a message. He was able to come to my house the next day to give me an estimate on repairing my fence. He was very honest and told me that I should hire a handyman for the small job that I wanted done because it would be more affordable for me and the handyman would probably do just as good of a job. I think its great that there are still honest contractors out there. I would hire him if I had a bigger job to do.

I compared Bear Fence to 2 other companies and they seemed the most willing to do a job that I think was a bit difficult due to my requirements for a step top look to the fence, built up a slight hill. I wasnt sure if they truly understood what I wanted (hence the B grade for Responsiveness), but when the guys showed up, they did the job in the number of days estimated (3) and the exact price quoted. They did an outstanding job, so much so that weve had several neighbors comment on how nice the fence looks.

Work was performed on time as described. Workmanship was very good, though not excellent. Rain was coming. Price was competitive based on other quotes received.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. CHRIS (THE BOSS) WAS ON TIME FOR THE ESTIMATE APPOINTMENT. I RECEIVED THE WRITTEN ESTIMATE WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS. WHEN IT WAS TIME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE WORK WE HAD TO BOOK IT ABOUT 3WEEKS OUT. THE DAY BEFORE THE INSTALL CHRIS CALLED TO CONFIRM. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME FOR. GEORGE AND LEO (THE TWO GUYS DOING THE WORK) WERE POLITE AND SKILLED. THEY WERE CAREFUL TO MINIMIZE DAMAGE TO SURROUNDING PLANTS. THEY QUICKLY GOT RID OF THE OLD FENCE AND ANOTHER TEAM HAULED IT ALL AWAY. ONCE THEY STARTED TO BUILD THE NEW FENCE I NOTICED THAT THEY WERE NOT PUTTING IT TOGETHER IN THE STYLE I HAD EXPECTED. A QUICK CALL TO CHRIS RESOLVED IT. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOT ON THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE AND CHRIS COULD NOT REMEMBER OUR DISCUSSING THE OTHER STYLE, HE GAVE ME THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT AND AGREED TO BUILD WHAT I WANTED AT NO EXTRA COST (EVEN THOUGH MORE MATERIALS WERE REQUIRED). IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM WITHOUT RESERVATION.

THEY WERE REFERRED TO US BY FRIENDS OF THE FAMILY AND THEY WERE GREAT. THE WORK WAS DONE ALL IN ONE DAY AND OUR FENCE LOOKS GREAT. I WOULD REFER THEM TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS.

EVERYTHING WAS EXECUTED AS PLANNED. THEY ISSUED A QUOTE IN FEBRUARY BUT WE DIDNT DO THE JOB TILL AUGUST AND THEY HONORED THEIR QUOTE. THEY DID NOT CHANGE THE QUOTE ONCE THEY GOT THE BUSINESS. THEY WERE RESPONSIVE TO OUR CHANGES. THEY ALSO TOOK THE TIME TO CUT BUSHES THAT WERE IN THE WAY AND CLEANED UP ALL OF THE CLIPPINGS. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE WAY THEY HANDLED EVERYTHING.

THEY WERE THE MOST COMPETITIVE OUT OF TWO OTHER BIDS I RECEIVED. WORKED WELL WITH US TO FIGURE OUT THE COST TO SHARE WITH THE NEIGHBORS ON BOTH SIDES OF US. THEIR PORTION IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE AMOUNT STATED ABOVE. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED ON TIME AND DONE VERY WELL.

THEIR PRICING WAS COMPETITIVE, THEY WERE POLITE, AND ON TIME. THE FENCE WAS NOT AS STURDY AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED. AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS SOME OF THE WOOD CRACKED AND THE HARDWARE THEY USED ON THE GATE WAS BOTTOM OF THE LINE, BUT SUFFICIENT.
