Brian checked the 2 Air Handling Units (AHU) outside. The condenser coil on both were very dirty. The electronic components were tested and the readings were compared to the manufacturer's specifications as within tolerance. One AHU needed special cleaning via a chemical spray bath. Brian also checked the indoor air vents and filters. Since I have re-usable filters, Brian cleaned them and installed them again. Brian checked the (2) furnaces in the attic and recommended heating service come the fall. Brian suggested improvements to the furnace system that I intend to purchase at the next service call. Brian was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and willing to answer my questions. I feel the service received was worth the price I paid. I recommend this service.

Long story short: I ended up calling Joe T Heating and Air conditioning. He listened for 10 seconds and then removed a panel. He went to his truck and retrieved a condensor or capacitor (not sure). My air conditioning unit was running in 10 minutes and a cost of $75.00. That included the part! His number is 909.947.4818. Details: I called in on Sunday and left a message expecting a call back during normal hours. To my surprise they called back in an hour. I explained to the woman that called back that the system was making a humming noise on the compressor. It would not spin or do anything. When she asked where I heard about them I explained Angies List. I also told her I had their coupon for a 22 point inspection for $49.00 down from $89.00. She told me that they would apply that towards any work that needed to be done. They scheduled the technician for the next day. When the technician arrived at my door the first words he spoke after introducing himself was how hot it was. Normal right? It was hot. He came inside so we could turn on the A/C unit. Again he tells me its hot. We go outside to the compressor. He listens to it for about 30 seconds and pulls the fuse. For the next 5 minutes he starts typing on his hand held computer. During this time he said, "it's hot," at least a half dozen times. Then he hands me the device to authorize $285 troubleshooting fee. Of course that could be applied to any work performed. When I told him no he asked if I wanted low level troubleshooting for $135. I told him to leave. He was slow in doing so... so I handed him his tool box. He did tell me that $89.00 was still due. I told him to have his company call me. I am more than willing to pay for each point on the 22 point inspection. They need to provide a list of each point of inspection. I have not heard from them. *****UPDATE****** Someone from Magnolia called me this morning to appologize after reading this review. They have provided me with a credit for a free service call in the future. They claim it was an employee that will be retrained or disciplined; not sure specifics as it is a private personnel matter. Though I appreciate the call back it does not change my review. In fact, they received an 'A' for responsiveness.

I have used the provider for the maintenance of my 11 year old HVAC system in my home. I contacted them to get a quote on installing solar panels. Eric and Scott came out and spent an hour and a half with us looking at our needs, roof space, etc. Upon the return visit to discuss pricing, we began discussing the advisability of replacing the 11 year old HVAC system first, which is a large energy consumer. I decided to replace the HVAC system, which is 2 air conditioners and 2 heaters. Scott came back to do a whole house analysis of my HVAC needs and then recommended the appropriate systems. The installation took 2 1/2 days. There were 3 men for two days and one man for a half a day. The installers were professional, courteous, hard working. They took great care to protect the stairs, walls and carpet. I did ask that the upstairs be operational by the end of the first day. They were able to do that, so we were able to sleep comfortably. Scott cam back out a few weeks later to get my feedback and check on the installation, which i appreciated. I am happy with the new system and look forward to reduced energy costs.

The technician was Chris. He arrived toward the end of the 2 hour window but he had called to let me know he was running a little late due to the job before me. Chris diagnosed the problem and answered all my questions. He replaced the bad run capacitor and we scheduled a return visit to perform a chemical cleaning of the coils. My AC unit had never been serviced in over 12 years. I was very happy with the professionalism shown by Chris and would recommend him and his company to any of my friends in need of AC repair. Chris had my air conditioning running in less than an hour.

It went beautifully -- he came in the appropriate time we had arranged, was efficient, courteous and I definitely would use the the company in the future.

We called Magnolia before 8 am and was told the repair person would show up between 9 am and 11 am. Chris showed up around 10 am and was very professional. We told him that one year ago we had an a/c repair guy from another company show up to repair our a/c because the air was not coming out cold. The repair guy replaced the capacitor and cleaned the a/c, but the air still wasn't coming out cold. Chris checked our a/c and found a worn out fuse, which he replaced for free. He looked at our thermostat, which was 30 years old, and couldn't figure out why the a/c wouldn't turn on right away, and we would have to manually change the temperature on the thermostat so it would turn on, so he offered to replace it with a more modern one, which we authorized. As soon as he replaced the fuse and thermostat, the house cooled down right away! He saved us from the heat wave we are anticipating this week! For our future a/c repair and maintenance needs, we will ask for Chris at Magnolia!

Our residential air conditioning unit was not blowing cold air for the past couple of days. I had contacted Magnolia Heating & Cooling at around 8am and set up an appointment for the 1-3pm time frame. Chris Williams was the technician assigned to our job who had arrived twenty minutes earlier than the scheduled appointment (for which we were very grateful). Chris was able to quickly diagnose the blown capacitor and replace it with a new one. The entire job took less than 30 minutes and we once again have cool air. Chris was very professional and we will definitely be recommending Magnolia Heating & Cooling in the future!

When I called for an appointment, they were polite and responsive. When Patrick showed up, he quickly found the problem. He took the time to explain in detail what was wrong. Fortunately, it was a relatively inexpensive fix. Magnolia Heating & Cooling is the best.

Brian was very professional and made some good recommendations during his visit. He worked very hard to get the various tasks accomplished. My A/C & Heating unit was installed about 6 years ago in a new home (built in May 2007). I had not had the A/C unit serviced until I made the recent appointment with Magnolia. I was very satisfied with the service provided. The only drawback was the total cost of $1972 which seemed a little high to me; however, this is not my field of expertise.

House was built in 1984; current air condition unit installed in 2007-2008. All work was completed properly but a few things are still pending: Still need air filter which I was told would be ordered (it is an unusual size); Still have some issues with thermostat that were actually created by the company that originally installed the unit. but managed to reprogram it properly; Supposed to receive a refund check for $25 but have not yet received it; However, I definitely plan to use them again because all work that was done was done very professionally and the unit works great; I found that they were actually able to schedule me within an hour of my phone call -- outstanding since the temperature felt like it reached 100 degrees that day. I ordered the maintenance contract to ensure regular service. The dispatch service is also excellent and they seemed very willing to assist me with some follow-up questions and concerns I had. Highly recommend them!

They were knowledgeable and very helpful in evaluating the system. They were very good. The technician was very good in explaining all of the elements of the inspections. He did exactly what I hoped for.

,Chris was prompt and very professional. He explained in detail the steps he would have to take to resolve the problem but he also explained given the age of the unit ( approx. 30 + yrs) that it most likely would still have problems. He explained that when we had the unit outside changed we should have had the unit in the house also changed. We discussed the ballpark cost of upgrading and set an appointment for a free consolation.

He didn't find that it was low on Freon, the next tech from a different company did that. He said two capacitors needed to be replaced, the next guy said that wasn't necessary. This was a wasted $50.

I thought he took a long time, but apparently, he was checking EVERYTHING. So, it was a good value for the $55 coupon. He discovered that our circuit board had one of two circuits burned out, so only one compressor was working all of the time, costing us extra money. While he was on the phone trying to track down the part, I called my home warranty company and found that they would cover it. I never did get a quote from Magnolia.

It turned out well. They came out a week after I purchased the deal and I only paid the cost of the deal. The technician that came out he was a pretty nice guy, he knew exactly what he was doing and he gave me some recommendations so I could do some things myself so I don't need a technician to do it and he wasn't insisting on me trying to purchase the membership program, he just recommended it.

I called Magnolia Heating and Air at 5:00 pm on Monday evening and was able to get an appointment for the following day. Patrick was sent to my home to look at my AC and to tell me why it was not working. Patrick was very personable and took the time to show me exactly what part went bad in my system. He gave me the cost and repaired it all within 1/2 hour. I would not hesitate to call them again for any future heating and cooling needs I may have.

The install was superb. It did take four days given the scope of the work involved mainly due to to the extensive duct work in the tight confines of my attic. I'd like to mention the names of the installers who did a great job - Chris, Dustin, Edward, Justin and Steve. Eric, the Pesident of Magnolia Heating & Cooling was very nice and professional in sheparding this large project from quoting to extensive follow ups. Eric even came over to my home on Saturday (8/10/13) to adjust my new computerized thermostat and installed it on my cell phone and iPad. I purchased the Trane Condenser XL20i Two Stage 3 ton 18 seer and Trane Furnace XC80, evaporator coil, air scrubber plus and all new vents for a two zone comfort control system. In closing, whatever AC & Heating Company who decide to select you should definitely consider Magnolia Heating & Cooling. You won't regret it. Tom

The service was great. The technician Brian arrived on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He walked me through every step of the way.. I would definitely use them again.

While I cannot assess the quality or reliability of the work because I am not an HVAC expert, I can say that Patrick of Magnolia was prompt, communicative, thorough and basically a pleasure. Because the property where the work was performed is a rental, I must rely on the feedback of my tenant. He was impressed, and told me that he would not hesitate to use Magnolia again in the future.

Patrick, the serviceman, called on the morning of the appointment to advise when he would arrive. Patrick performed a thorough check of heating and cooling system. Showed me a a badly pitted 2 pole contacter and said it could last the summer or possibly fail sooner. Patrick recommended replacement and I agreed and replacement was done immediately. I was very impressed with Patrick'ss professionalism and decided to sign an annual agreement for twice yearly service. The plan cost was reduced by my deal amount and the part cost was reduced by 10%. Am very satisfied with service provided by Patrick from Magnolia Heating and Cooling, Inc. Would definitely recommend to others.

When I tried to play Handy Manny with our AC, things didn't go so well. I figured out at 10PM that our AC was broken - and I had to go to work in the morning leaving my pregnant wife and 3 kids home to fend for themselves. My wife called Magnolia hoping to get someone out. Patrick, the technician, came out and showed up on time (a HUGE plus in my book), and quickly diagnosed the problem - fixing it within minutes. He was courteous, punctual, and extremely professional. Now my wife doesn't have to suffer for the next 2 days. Highly recommend Magnolia to anyone!

I had to leave work to be present for this visit and Patrick called on his way and estimated arrival time perfectly so I didn't have to sit for a 2-hour window to get home on time. This was a huge convenience to me. The A/C unit was blowing warm air and with the oppressive heat we were having, I was desperate to get it fixed promptly. He assessed the problem immediately and started to work. He gave me information as he worked that taught me so much about how to care for my A/C unit...I was very grateful for the lesson. But it was his friendly, easy-going manner that impressed me the most. He is an excellent ambassador for your business and I will ask for him the next time I need service.
