Penny was wonderful. I had a problem with scheduling the last appraiser I originally found, and being short on time, she was able to complete the inspection and appraisal report within 5 days. She returned my call immediately after I left a message, and she had some questions - all pretty standard stuff. However, what puts her above the rest is that she actually took the time to understand my situation (which was a little unusual). Her personal interest made me feel like I was more than just a meal ticket. Her report was very professional and timely. I would definitely recommend using her services. (She also works all through the Southland and is not just limited to OC.)

While I was unable to contract and work with Ms. Smith on an appraisal, she was able to provide a referral to someone in my service area that could provide the assistance I needed. The experience was positive. Instead of simply indicating she would be unable to perform the service, she took the time to locate a recommended appraiser and provide me with the information so I could move forward. I appreciate her assistance and willingness to help when she did not have to.

The transaction went very smoothly. Penny showed up on time for our appointment, went through the house; took exact measurements and noted the specifics of the upgrades and condition of the home and outside landscaping very accurately. She e-mailed me the finished appraisal when promised. I was very happy with her services.

Penny Smith is very courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. She responded quickly to my inquiry and set up the appointment, working around my busy schedule. She came to the house on time, asked me specific questions about the home, went through each room and took measurements and pictures. She also measured the garage, back yard, and front yard. She was at my house for approximately 1 hour. She then told me she would compile information from my house as well as a couple of nearby homes which had recently sold for comparison. She went out of her way to have the report be complete. Penny then sent the final report within 2 days as she had promised. It was very detailed and helpful.I highly recommend Penny. She really cares about people and serving them well.

Penny communicated professionally and let me know when she could actually do my appraisal. She let me know that she wouldn't be able to get to my home for at least a week and that the report wouldn't be ready until the following week. I accepted the schedule and we set up an appointment. When Penny came by, she evaluated the house efficiently and took notes and pictures as she evaluated the home. She offered me advice about what to do to make the house easier to sell. I followed all of her advice and I hope that it will pay off. She provided me with a professional and well-reasoned appraisal of what my home is worth in this market. Penny Smith helped me locate and close on my property in West LA that I initially lived in and now maintain as an investment property. She has handled all purchase and lease transactions for the property, and is also managing the home on my behalf as I currently live out-of-state. Penny has gone the extra-mile in every instance where I've needed her. When initially looking for a property in the Hollywood Hills, I wanted it all - a great home, a view, a great neighborhood and the ability to easily walk to Sunset Strip. It was not an easy property to find, but we did, thanks to her perseverance. Having had several tenants in the home over the past seven years, she has been an intermediary for me on many sensitive issues that tend to arise in tenant/landlord relationships, from major issues to the most mundane. She has provided wonderful service to me over the years and I highly recommend her for those looking to purchase, sell or lease a property that requires a trustworthy and thorough agent.

I wanted to find someone I could trust as my grandmother is in her 80s and has been taken advantage of by greedy service providers in the past. I could tell after talking with Penny that she was an honest, hard-working person who would do a good job and on -time. I found Penny Smith on Angie's List, gave her a call and left message - which she promptly returned. Penny was delightful to work with ~ well-informed due to years of experience and cheerfully answered all my questions (of which there were many!!). We set an appointment to meet at the property in question and she took her time obtaining the appropriate measurements and photographs. Soon thereafter, Penny provided an impressively detailed appraisal report which included recent comparable sales in the area, charts, maps, and clear photos of the property, along with a copy of her real estate appraiser license. Penny could not have made this process any easier or more pleasant for me and I hope to have an opportunity to work with her again. Give Penny Smith a call ~ you'll be glad you did.
