I called initially to have my broken furnace looked at, but I ended up getting central a/c and heating, which is something I wanted to do anyway. Matt came out, and I felt so comfortable with him that I didn't even bother to get other estimates. I asked him -- and later, the work crew -- a million questions, and they answered everything and didn't seem to mind my questions. Matt was very available by phone and email, and he and his crew were always prompt getting back to me and showing up. I knew zero about heating and a/c and took a chance on this company, partly because of all the good reviews, and I'm very glad I did.

Dan was very knowledgable about my Ac problem and came up with a good solution. The company kept me posted daily on any changes. Overall service was painless. Thanks to all!!!

Very courteous servicemen. Job was cost efficient and also added in minor repairs to existing ductwork. Servicemen did not go over project before executing...there was a part that was not completed as detailed in the contract developed during initial interview and estimates.

Had a small job to replace one heating register box and approx. 6 feet of ducting. Initial consultation went well as did the removal of the old register/duct. However installation of the new register box and flexible ducting did not go as well. The register box was not what we asked for (we asked for a box with a flange that would go behind the drywall, as we would be replacing the drywall around the vent at a later date, and 6" ducting) we got a register box where the flange was bent over the outside of the drywall and 7" ducting. The finished installation was also very shabby with bunched up ducting and some kind of a caulking material smeared all over the bent over edges of the register box and into the surrounding voids in the drywall. Therefore we requested that the company come back out to replace the register/duct they had just installed with what we had originally asked for. It was only at this time that the company representative, who was somewhat perturbed at our request, told us that they usually don't accept jobs under $1,500 (ours was $550. not including asbestos removal). But they did agree to go ahead and replace the register/ducting they initially installed with what we had originally asked for and the finished work this time was acceptable.

We got off to a great start with the advisor Matt Alba who was on time and thorough in his estimate of the work. There was a miscommunication of the scheduled work day of the project which was a minor inconvenience. The work was performed however we had to have the company send a technician out twice to make modifications / repair. Overall I would recommend or use Southland again.

I installed a ductless system. Work was high quality and price was Substantially lower than other companies.

Southland Heating and A/C was one of the companies we contacted to install a new furnace, a new A/C unit, and new ducts. Matt Alba was prompt in his response to us, came over within a day or two, and explained every aspect of the job--the equipment, the work needed, the rebates available, all financing options, and answered all our questions thoroughly and candidly. The estimate he provided was the lowest, but we really chose Southland because of Matt's professionalism. All the work was completed in one day, and Southland's team of installers (Rudy, Willie, Joe, George, Abraham, Fabian) was as thorough and professional as Matt. They consulted with us on every aspect, and really did a great job. We couldn't be happier. This is a great company, and we recommend them without reservation.
