He is upfront with issues and upfront and fare in regards to the cost involved.

Air conditioning system failed on a day in which the temps reached 117. Edgard arrived on Saturday to evaluate the problem saying the only solution was a new system. 3 days later Southland arrived and installed a new system including all new ducting in one 9 hour day. In my view it was very professionally done and can only hope that the system is as good as their service.

I was happy that Southland took the time to explain everything, willing to work with me and my folks in a different state to make sure we got the best unit needed for me. Always answered any question we had and never made me feel like I was being a bother to them. I never felt rushed to make a decision. The crew on the day of installation were nice and easy to talk with.

Ryan arrived on time, was very courteous and did his inspection thoroughly. He explained everything well afterwards and didn't try to up sell, which is always appreciated .

Workers did a nice install job. Very conscientious . Good professional work. But the only negative is that the patch where the old window AC unit was was very rough, just like it said in the contract.

I waited until after the HERS testing and the city inspection before reviewing. I have had an HVAC system installed at another residence, so have an comparison. Southland out performed the other company across all service levels. From Johanna in appointments, Laura in sales, Abraham and his installation crew, Ravit in permits/inspections, Sandra in customer service and finally, John meeting the city inspector. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and their customer service is topnotch. Laura is amazing, she really know her craft and has an eye for detail. Abraham and his installation crew are professional, courteous and addressed all my questions before leaving the job site. John's high touch customer service requires a higher rating than 5 stars, and his professionalism and sense of humor was greatly appreciated. Thank you Southland for hiring great team members.

Been looking to replace our 40 year old furnace and install central air conditioning. Almost pulled the trigger with another company 2 years ago but so glad we didn't. In hindsight, it would've been a HUGE and expensive mistake. This time around we were a little more prepared. Inquired on Home Advisor and was contacted by several companies. The first one to reach out was Southland (Johanna) and after reading the stellar reviews agreed to meet with them for a free estimate. The original founder/co-owner, Ray, came out to the south bay area all the way from Thousand Oaks (2+ hours with traffic). Ray didn't try to up-sell anything but was really about educating us on making the best decision for our needs and wants. His knowledge and thorough explanation of how everything worked and the pro's and con's to each really helped with our decision making process. He also was so knowledgeable with city codes, rules, and regulations and ensured we do things the right way. Extremely personable and professional. As promised an estimate recapping everything discussed with various options was sent that same day. A huge plus was that they were able to do everything in one day. Prices were more than fair and competitive. We didn't even bother with other estimates after our meeting. Ana and Lisa in accounting were tremendous in helping us take care of all the contracts and paperwork throughout the week. Install day was a week from the initial meeting and the crew showed up on time and were just as professional and personable as Ray and business office crew. You could tell they took pride in their work and loved what they do. Such a well-oiled machine and can't imagine any company doing better. Really I don't think there is one. Everything looks amazing and they really do respect your home and leave it not only looking the same but better. We were impressed from beginning to end. From top to bottom this company is represented well. If you're reading this review, you're most likely in the same boat we were. I assure you that I did all the necessary research, price comparisons, pro's and cons, etc. for the entire Southern California region. Trust me. You don't need to look further than Southland. They'll be the best decision you make for any of your heating and air conditioning needs.

Installation of furnace and air conditioner was expert.

Excellent experience! Contacted them late one afternoon, they had someone out the next day. Technician arrived well within the time window I was given. I really appreciated the 30 minute heads up text and really liked that it came with a link to track where exactly the drive was so I can plan accordingly. Once here Bryan was phenomenal! He was very respectful and knowledgeable. He explained exactly what was wrong and he made repairs right away. Extremely pleased with the service. Highly recommended

They were very pleasant to work with and showed honesty which made me feel they were there for me and my safety and not for the money. Will call them for all my heating and air needs.

A bit pricey but worth it. Excellent system, everyone was a pleasure to work with. Great professionalism and they cleaned up afterwards.

John provided excellent pre-sale support and has been very responsive throughout the installation and dealing with a couple post-install issues. Rudy was great in leading the four-man installation team on a difficult install - new ducting in a multilevel townhome. My only issue (a minor one) is that the rough patching really was 'rough' and it will take some time for my painter to finish it.

John is super knowledgeable and straightforward. The crew came and worked efficiently, fast, and did not leave a mess. Unfortunately they had to cut a section of a ceiling and while they did put it together, I would have thought that, for the price of one of the installs, they could send somebody to patch up the paint some other day. Same with them moving the thermostat, would have been good to get the wall were the thermostat used to be patched. They did go above and beyond by doing additional fixes that were outside the scope, maybe I expect too much? :)

Excellent sales approach, fully explained the best-fit options for our home. The work crew was diligent and hard working and got the job done in one day! We're very happy with the end product.

Project: Install new Gas Furnace/Forced Air Heating System. Dave Molina was extremely professional in helping design a difficult installation due to unique house layout. Bid was comprehensive and complete and he walked me through to ensure I was clear on all phases of the job. The installation team was very professional. They showed up on time and worked quickly and quietly. Job was done in three days and they cleaned up quite well. Install occurred last fall during a warm spell and we agreed to air balance when it got cold. This was not an easy job due to the complexity of my system and they came back two more time to fine tune. It was a pleasure to work with such a professional team. I would definitely recommend them to anyone - even if they are not low bid.

Jose, the Installation manager, came with the crew who all worked quickly and neatly. They were very efficient. There was a problem getting the Nest thermostat installed and activated but they persevered and got it all working. I am quite happy. I did not get extra quotes other than theirs. I think it was a good value as I now have a better rated system with some guarantees whereas my old system had run out of warranties. This system is more efficient.
