Mark's Drywall Service

We purchased a house in late December and needed the acoustic ceiling removed. Mark came to our appointment and promptly followed up with his quote. His price was very competitive and I could tell he would do a great job. He did a great job. The finished ceiling looks like brand new construction. You can't even tell where the wall repairs are. He is very responsible, organized, clean and on schedule. He worked through the Christmas and New Years holiday period to meet our deadline. I am completely satisfied and will use him again in the future. Mark is a wall and ceiling expert and artist. You would be hard pressed find anyone better. We are very very satisfied.

Mark was a consummate pro. He gave a very good, thorough estimate, in writing. He came at the agreed upon time to do the work. He did the work in the estimated time it would take, which was patching a wall that had had a leaky pipe in it and then coming back the next day to paint, and then cleaned everything up where he was working. When he was done you absolutely couldn't tell that there was ever any problem or disruption in the wall. I hope I never have to see him again, but if I have need of a dry wall repair again, he'll be the first I call.

My wife and I were very pleased with Marks' work. We've worked with a number of contractors over the last few years and Mark is absolutely the best. On time, neat and respectful. He really knows his business and how to treat customers. That says a lot in this day and age. You get what you pay for. On a personal note, I believe he's a good person as well. Thanks again Mark.

This man is exceptional in his work and attitude. Great integrity! My house was filled with settlement cracks and I was to the point of thinking it was made of paper and glue. Mark came and we discussed what needed to be done and I waited for 8 months before I had him come out due to prior commitments. He tackled each crack and separation with great skill, and what I thought was a house doomed to look like it was falling apart suddenly looks perfect. I would hire him to do anything in my house but drywall is his forte. Trustworthy to say the least.... probably one of the best experiences I have had with a service provider.

Mark did a great job, very professional and friendly. What I appreciated the most is that he took time and offered advise on painting techniques for me to finish painting the rest of my house.

We just purchased a house that needs a lot of renovations. We found Mark on Angie's list and he gave us a very fair quote for quite a bit of work and he was able to start 2 weeks later. He arrived on time every morning for the 6 days that it took for the work to complete. Mark was very tidy, and cleaned up every day which is very unusual for any contractor. We were so impressed with his quality of work, his attention to detail, his politeness, friendliness, and professionalism. Since my husband and I work Monday - Friday we left Mark in the house to do his work, while we were gone each day. Which can sometime be a little scary - but no problems at all. Mark is very trustworthy, and we felt very comfortable with him. We plan on using mark again once we have gotten farther in our renovations and need more work done. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs drywalling. You will be SO happy you did. Mark gives contractors a good name!

Super, fair pricing, great customer service, on-time all the time, really a fantastic job!

I rec'd the quotes on the evening of the estimate and had a couple of questions. I got the revised quotes the following morning. Mark was available to start the work on the day that he had originally estimated. He arrived on time. He had to replace an entire wall in one room due to the extensive damage. It now looks like new. In fact, everything looks like new. Other than not yet having repainted, it's impossible to tell where the holes and cracks in walls and ceilings had been. In addition to doing the repairs, Mark retextured the walls and ceilings. I didn't expect that. I thought I would have to have a painter do that. Although I had moved the furniture and drapes Mark advised on the day of the estimate, add'l furniture and accessories had to be moved. I helped him do that on one afternoon, but he moved other things and put everything back better than it had been. He was able to complete the work in 4 days rather than 5. I am VERY pleased with his work. Before leaving, he told me to let him know if I discovered anything that wasn't to my satisfaction and he would return and correct it. There's been no need for that. One other plus: Mytwo cats have been very nervous with various workers in and around my house, but Mark has cats of his own and mine sensed that he was someone they could trust. They didn't run and hide for the 4 days he was here. For a future project, I discussed eliminating a French door to a room that has 2 other entrances in order to gain usable wall space. It can be done and I will call Mark again when I make that decision.

Mark was always very prompt and was careful to keep our kitchen clean. He created a working bubble masking off the area to repair and preventing andy drywall dust outside the area. He did a very good job texturing to make the ceiling look close the the rest of the house and after allowing a day to dry, primed and painted.

Contacted Mark for some repairs and some painting. He was very responsive, showed up when he said he would, provided estimates and performed some of the work that same day. He came back the next week to do some touch up work throughout our rental unit in Laguna Beach. He was very pleasant to have around and his patch work was truly a work of art. I would recommend him to anyone who needs drywall repair and painting.

From the moment I called Mark to schedule him coming out for an estimate, he was great at getting back to me and showed up every time on time when he told me he would. The work was completed in two days. He was very clean while working and the places he repaired look great. I would definitely use him again in the future for any drywall needs and/or refer him to my friends.

Mark did an excellent job. His bid was extremely detailed - clearly listing each of the tasks and the cost so that there would be no misunderstanding. At the time of the bid he was involved in some other projects, but he said that he would be available to start on a future date and he started precisely on the morning of that day. He showed up on time (or early - with our permission) on every day of the work. Obviously, drywall work is very messy, but Mark did an excellent job cleaning up at the end of every day and even though my wife is a "neat freak" she was satisfied with his cleaning efforts. Mark is extremely conscientious and seeks your approval throughout the project. His work is of high quality - the drywall textures were perfect and the painting was accurate and uniform. You'll be hard pressed to find another drywall/painting contractor that provides this level of value - high quality work at a fair price. We would absolutely hire him again and do recommend him to our friends. I wish that all contractor experiences could be this good.

I found this company on Angie's List and I like their friendliness, punctuality and cleanliness of work. He was very communicative as far as what rooms he would be doing next, how long it might take and any inconvenience that we might incur. He was very good. He was not the cheapest but I got a quality job.

The work was timely, nice and clean, and very professional. Mark's work exceeded my expectations and when I have more drywall work this will be the company I will call.

Mark called me within about 12 hours. He was out the next day for estimate and started work the following day. He was extremely professional, organized, clean respectful and skilled. I wanted the knock down repair to be undectable as you could see the celing as you walked into the house. The repair was perfect and skillfully done. Mark kept everything clean as he worked and kept some of his tools outside. Never was there a mess. All three rooms were done to my satisfaction and my delight. I could not of asked for anything else. Mark worked nonstop the whole time with a cheerful attitude and professionaism. He was a pleasure to be around. Mark was on time and did the job very professionally. I asked him to come back and re-texturize one ceiling. He did so at no cost to us, and he would not even accept a "tip" for the extra trip.

Mark and his crew did an excellent job of removing wallpaper, restoring the drywall, texturiing and painting. Job was completed on time and at the price that was quoted

Mark promised to complete the job in 4 to 5 days. They completed the process in four days. The first day the prepped the room by carefully removing all the furniture in the area, protected the floors for their transit and staging area for materials, brought in the drywall, cut it and installed 5/8" thick on the ceiling and 1/2" on the walls. At the end of the installation they swept and wiped all areas clean. removed the tarps and left around 5pm. On Tuesday they again laid down tarps to protect the floors protected the appliances and then applied tape to the joints and then joint compound. They then repaired the ceiling and walls in the bedroom areas. They then cleaned up before they left for the day. Wednesday they again set up and protected floors and appliances, applied the "orange peel" finish to the walls, including the "repair" areas, and cleaned up before they left The fourth day they again set up and then applied the "swirl" finish to the ceilings. They again cleaned up and then replaced the furniture back in its place. Mark then asked us to inspect all work and addressed the various issues we brought up to our satisfaction. Mark insisted the we bring up any items that might prevent us from giving him a "perfect" rating. He certainly earned the A ratings in all categories. His price was a bit high compared to the closest estimate but his great work and attention to detail was worth it.

Mark was very professional from the start. Out of the 5 estimates that I got, he was one of the few that measured the square footage and gave me a detailed written estimate. He ended up coming in with a very competitive price compared to the others. With all the good reviews on Angie's List, it was a no-brainer. The drywall work turned out excellent, and he even fixed a lot of cracks that I hadn't asked him to. The painting turned out real good also. He was very good about cleaning up after himself as he went along. He made sure to check with me to make sure I was happy with his work before he left. He really seems to care about the work turning out the best it can. He's one of the good ones.

Mark is an outstanding painter. He painted my 15ft. high vaulted ceilings in only 2 days with a professional edge at every corner. He even gave me drywall tips in a different room where I was doing some DIY work of my own. He always left everything cleaner than when he started. I had painted the walls of my house and wasn't very careful with getting paint on the ceiling. Mark fixed every trouble area.

It took us a while to get the mini-project scheduled, as both of our schedules were pretty busy. I take responsibility for any delays, as it wasn't an urgent item on my end. The initial estimate was fair and efficient, and the work was done quite well.

Mark did a great job. I really can't tell where we had to replace the drywall. I would definitely use him again.

Mark came on time and went right to work. He is friendly, discreet, and dedicated to his work. Mark takes pride in his product and is fussy with getting it perfect! He had all the proper equipment and covered all areas. When it rained, Mark explained he could still come and work but it wouldn't produce as good a result as when it is dry. When he came back, he went over and beyond what he was expected to do very quickly. Mark even gave me tips for painting my walls after his beautiful ceilings were done so I wouldn't mess them up! (I was worried I would, but his lessons worked perfectly for me!) Mark's work is a superb value!
