F & F APPLIANCE DOCTORS

He arrived, asked me what was happening, then proceeded to tell me that it wasn't doing what I said. He then told me "go get me a ladder"-- very demanding and rude. I've never been treated like this from a repairman before. He then said this is the bad part and replaced it. It didn't fix the problem he had to come out again after a week. This time he told, me when I tried to tell him what was wrong and what the refrigerator was sounding like, "It isn't doing that and I'm not going to fix it or if you keep telling me this (what's wrong with the refrigerator) he's leaving my house and won't come back. I said "fine leave!" I wouldn't let him in any house. I think he is a crook. I reported him to the GE warranty company-- not to recommend or use him. I have never had an experience like this before or since. He doesn't know how to fix things just the cheap way to "fix" and charge you or the warranty company.

They said the timer was the trouble, and they said it would cost close to $300 to replace. That's more than we spent on the appliance!

I told him to go ahead. I came to check on him-he had completed the task and he suddenly realized that the 'bail arm' was missing from the icemaker. He was very insistent that only way to resolve the problem was to replace the icemaker for $250. After completion he refused to give us credit for the visit charge stating work was to a different unit. Several days later I contacted Kitchenaid myself. The bail arm cost $5, the icemaker cost only $125. I faxed F&F Appliance on 10/3/05 stating these facts. Sam called back and told me he didn't know that they sold the arms and in fact had never checked even though he had insisted they did not. When asked about his pricing he stated that he needs to make a living. I requested our old icemaker back. After 2.5 months of promises to drop it off, I went to their office to retrieve it. I do not know how to install it so I'm stuck with the new one. Our icemaker now works - and should have done so for $5, not $499.

I CALLED THEM 6 TIMES AFTER IT WAS FIXED AND TOLD THEM WHAT WAS DONE AND ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER TO GET THE $35 BACK AND NO ONE CALLED ME BACK.

IN THE TWO REPAIR JOBS WE HAVE USED THEM FOR (WHICH WERE OF AN URGENT NATURE), THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT THE DAY WE CALLED THEM.

THEY RESPONDED TO THE JOB RIGHT AWAY. I WOULD NOT CALL THEM BACK AS I FELT THAT THEIR TECHNICIANS WERE NOT VERY WELL TRAINED. THE JOB TOOK A VERY LONG TIME AND THEY WERE MESSY.
