I was in the market for a new A/C coil and condenser. I got professional estimates from 3 other HVAC companies, but ultimately chose Robert Hall & Sons because of their fair prices, great reviews on Yelp, Angie's List, and also directly recommended from the manufacturer! How about that!!?? We wanted to relocate the existing 2yr old furnace and the A/C coil from a closet inside the house to the attic. And the condenser was on the rooftop, and needed a change out. This is not an easy job and you need to hire someone that has years of experience and knows what the heck they are doing!! Installation is the most critical component of your new HVAC system and if you hire the wrong company, you will be upset and disappointed with your new system and also wasting money!! Mike Hall came to my property to see the scope of work. He was professional and straight forward. He provided a verbal quote as we discussed options on site, and followed up 2days later with an detailed quote. When we moved forward with the job, Mike said that his crew could bang out this job in one day and that he does this type of job all the time (other HVAC companies were going to take 2-3 days). On installation day, 5 guys and Mike showed up at 7am on the dot, wearing company sweatshirts and t-shirts, were a synchronized team, and Mike even pitched in. That's 6 guys attacking this project. By 8am, the old condenser was out, and new one in. No crane needed. ($500 saved right there!!). By lunch time, the units inside the attic were all in place. Installation was completed, tested, and running perfectly by 3:30pm!! A short time later, I had a few issues with the dampers and vibrating noises from the condenser. Mike came to the house within a few days and made the adjustments at no charge. I am writing this review 7 months after the attic relocation/installation and the furnace worked great in the winter time and the new A/C works wonderfully in this hot summer !! I have only good things to say about Mike and his guys. Fantastic team and great workers! Awesome company, excellent follow up and customer service! Hire them. You won't be disappointed!!

They were very efficient, got everything done in 1 day. The price was good compared to other quote that I received. I will use them again and I have recommended them to people.

Best ever! I needed a of an air conditioning unit that was on top of the condo complex. Robert and his sons were prompt, professional and quick! The best part is their price was far less than another quote i received. I had also contacted Costco and they could not come out to even give an estimate for another 3 days! They had a crane to lift the unit on and off the building. When the crane arrived it was less than 20 minutes for them to lift the new and take down the old. The whole process was less than 2 hours. I would highly recommend them in an instant to anyone! Thanks Robert and sons! You made this as stress free as possible.

The furnace for our HVAC unit suddenly stopped working.  I had a guy from a different company come look at the unit first who was unable to diagnosis the problem and said the unit was already past a normal lifespan.  He was basically pushing for replacement.  So, I clearly wanted another opinion.  Called Robert Hall & Sons the next morning and they were at my place a few hours later.  Within 20 minutes or so, the technician had identified the igniter as the problem.  He had the replacement part with him and said he could have it installed before the first service hour was up.  Great!
He confirmed that the unit was old, too, but didn't see any need to rush out and replace the whole thing when all that was needed now was a relatively inexpensive new part.  I appreciated that honesty.

Robert Hall and Son's installed my heating and air system over 20 years ago and they are GREAT. Recently, my heater wasn't working so I called RH and S and set an appointment. The technician was ontime, friendly and professional. I explained the problem to him and he quickly went to work. I was hoping to not have to spend a lot of money replacing parts or (gasp) having to replace the over 20 year old heater that they had intially installed. I was elated to be told that the problem was only that an area on the heater had become clogged by spiders and dust and that I needed to turn on my heater every few months for a short while throughout the year to avoid the problem. He also said that it was great that I had recently replaced the filter anyway. I was ELATED that the fix cost so little and that he was so honest. By my request , he also replaced my over 20 year old thermostat that had a non working timer with a newer one that had a working and better timer. I cannot more highly recommend Robert Hall and Sons.

Excellent! Best price. Professional. Willing to work with changing schedule due to construction delays. Mapped out for us where the vents/returns would go and was flexible on our design changes. Installed a very quiet easy to program unit. Really pleased. Highly recommend. Nice family business.

I had them go out to an elderly friend of mine who was having problems with her heater. They did some tune up and got it working again. The feedback that I got form my friend was that they were extremely kind and wonderful to her. I felt confident to send them to her. Their price was very competitive.

Our roofing contractor wanted the heating/AC package unit to be disconnected so that the unit could be moved during the roofing job. Roofing contractor recommended AC contractor Robert Hall. Roofer talked to Robert Hall and gave me an estimate for $400. The estimate was subsequently revised to $500. It is what it is the roofing work was supposed to start in about a week I said okay. SERVICE CALL #1 - Robert Hall disconnected the Heating/AC package unit. SERVICE CALL #2 - Robert reconnected the unit after the roofing job. Within about 3 months, the unit started malfunctioning. Without thinking much of it, I called a local AC contractor to take a look at the unit. He diagnosed the problem to be the low voltage electrical wires shorting out because they were not strapped down properly. He recommended that I call Robert Hall to fix the wiring. SERVICE CALL #3 - Richard Hall, Robert Hall's brother, showed up to take a look at the wiring. After working on the unit he told me that he had wrapped the wires with electrical tape and strapped them down properly. The unit started malfunctioning within an hour after Richard had left. SERVICE CALL #4 - Called and left message for Richard. Richard came out again with his employee Wilmer. Richard told me that he will run new wires from the thermostat to the unit. After about a half hour, Richard told me that the new wiring cannot be pulled through because there is a blockage in the electrical conduit that runs between the thermostat and the unit. He said wireless thermostat will have to be installed. SERVICE CALL #5 - Richard installed the receiver on the unit and a wireless thermostat inside the house. The unit still did not work. Richard checked the unit and diagnosed the problem to be a defective fan control. SERVICE CALL #6 - Richard installed a new fan control. The unit still did not work. Richard checked the unit again. When he came back, he told me that the wireless thermostat receiver he had installed in the unit had been turned off and started accusing me of tampering with it. I told him that not only had I not touched the package unit, I have no idea what a wireless thermostat receiver looks like, let alone tamper with it. Richard's response - well, the receiver doesn t turn off by itself. I chose not to argue with Richard, quickly wrote him a check for the parts so that he could be on his way. I do understand that people make mistakes, even professionals like Robert Hall. His failure to properly strap down the wiring caused all the subsequent problems. I respect the genuine effort that Robert and Richard put in to correct the problem. However, I do not appreciate being falsely accused by Richard of tampering with the wireless thermostat receiver. That was very unprofessional.

The compressor had blown a fuse on the external disconnect box. One of the input wires on the box looked a little overheated, but he said to replace the fuse and wait it out before (maybe) replacing the box. He checked for coolant level, which was OK. He was responsive, straight forward, didn't try to sell unnecessary services. So I liked all that. But I thought $100 for a half-hour visit was a little high.

ROBERT CAME OVER ON TIME. HE GOT MY AIR CONDITIONER TO WORK, ONE HOUR AFTER HE LEFT, IT BROKE COMPLETELY. HE MADE TIME AND CAME OVER AGAIN WITHOUT CHARGING ME FOR THE 2ND VISIT. HE SHOWED MAJOR INTEGRITY BY PROVIDING A SERVICE THAT I NEEDED.
