Fast Water Heater Company

Originally I contacted them through Home Depot. They came out and did the estimate and were prepared with the materials to do the work on the spot. The pricing was straight forward and they applied their Angie's list $100 credit offer when I mentioned that I also found them online and wanted to take advantage of that offer. They did a very clean and professional job in half a day and took care of the permitting that my city required. I would say that I feel the price was right on, the work was high quality and the office staff who coordinated the repair were professional and knowledgeable. This was one of most hassle free and surprise free jobs that I've had a contractor do. I would definitely recommend them.

Installer was knowledgeable and friendly. Explained all that he would be doing.

Company was very accommodating and quick in response. Although we paid more than the coupon we had purchased from Angie's list we were thoroughly explained why. The service man was efficient and professional.

The on-line service was prompt and easy to set up an appointment. The guy showed up on time, did exactly what was necessary. However, cost me more than double the initial cost orignally contracted for due to "things" not to code.

The technician was extremely knowledgeable and diligent. He really helped me to understand what the issues were and answered all of my novice questions without judgment.

Tim, the technician arrived promptly, on-time and also called before arriving, as requested. His inspection was very thorough, detailed and he explained ll the extra charges. Almost all the extra charges were to bring the 2004 water heater up to code and city permit. The extra charges came close to $500 for which i was not prepared or able to pay. Tim was very gracious and understanding. I would definitely ask for Tim again if i used Fast Water Heater Company put at the moment i couldn't justify the extra $$.

It went very well. The installer was punctual and professional and completed the task promptly.

10/20/2015 UPDATE: Just had our mandatory city inspection of our water heater -- the inspector took one look and said, "Yup, they did excellent work. First rate." So we passed with flying colors. Fast was fast and reliable! You can use them without hesitation. Fast was, in fact, fast, courteous and very responsive. I called them in the afternoon and they arrived promptly the next day, on time. Extremely nice and knowledgeable technicians. One thing to be aware of, I purchased the attractive $850 deal on Angie's List (which is quite good if you shop around). I did decide to upgrade to a better 15-year warranty Rheem water heater (vs the 6 yr model included in the deal), so there's that added cost. (Nor did they try to up-sell me to a better model, I inquired if they had one available.) As well, be aware there are addt'l costs -- in my case a 'required' expansion tank, grounding of water and gas pipes, addt'l plumbing, and a mandatory inspection certificate -- to bring the installation up to CA code. All of this adds several hundred dollars to the bottom-line. I will say, Fast technicians did a pre-survey and were clear about the costs before doing any work, so there were no surprises -- and it all seemed legit -- but depending on where your heater is located (basement, garage, closet) you may made need some additional work to bring your heater up to code, eg, I needed some flexible pipe installed where there had been rigid pipe. (Btw, there is a mandatory state inspection after installation.) The flat deal implies extras -- and I did upgrade to a better, longer-life water heater, at my choice. Aside from that, Fast was very professional and reliable. In an emergency, which ours wasn't, it sounds like they can offer same day service -- for the same price! Their work was excellent, the install looks great, and our water heater -- which looks quite impressive for a water heater -- is pumping plenty of piping hot water. I'm a happy camper...I'll let you know how we're doing in 15 years...

Called the company to set up an appointment and was able to have the date and time that was convenient to me. Bobby K was the installer and called 20 minutes before coming to my house. He covered the carpet before bringing in the hose to drain the water heater. He explained everything, including the reason for the extra cost to make sure everything was up to code. He also installed an earthquake brace.

It turned out to be very good. There was nothing that I disliked about the service. They were supposed to come with two people because it was a 75 gallon heater. One of the people that was supposed to show up actually ended up calling sick that morning. The reason I was really happy was because I had taken a day off from work to do this. So when the gentleman came and mentioned that he needed a second person, I told how bad it was and he did everything on his own. The reason I'm very happy with the service was not something specific they did as far as the quality of the work. It's just that I know that the technician could have said, "Sorry. I't s not my problem. I'll come another day." Then I would have had to take another day off which was an issue for me. He was very understanding of my personal situation and went above and beyond and completed the work without the second technician being there. The price sounded fair to me from a lot of research I had done online. This was one of the few times that a company showed up exactly when they said they're going to show up.

It went very well. We had an appointment for a later date to replace the water heater until the heater decided to give up 2 days early so we placed an emergency call. They came out that morning and completed everything by the afternoon.

It was fine. The guy that came out did a good job.

installer was nice and knowlegible. They do upsell a lot from their Angie List deals. Deal was for $849 but ended up paying about $330 more to complete.

James B. from Fast Water Heater Company did a great job installing my water heater. The old one had leaked all over the garage floor and needed to be replaced. He arrived on time, was very clear about the work that needed to be done and the cost involved to do the job up to code, and worked quickly and efficiently. He did not try to pressure me to do extra work that an inspector may or may not require. The whole job was done in about 2 hours and he cleaned up everything after he was done. I got this work done through Home Depot and could not be more pleased with how efficiently the process went. I called them on Sunday and the job was done on Tuesday - could have been done sooner if I had wanted. I had originally gotten a quote from Paster Plumbing in Woodland Hills, who wanted $8800 (!!!) to do this job. I got it done today for $2200. Highly recommend this company!

The deal included all parts and labor. Everything went great and I haven't had any problems.

The service included the inspection following: internal flue & gast venting system gast control valve combustion air supply tank age pressure valve emergency shut off valve sacrificial anode (rods) remove excess sediment from tank & inspection drain valve

Everything was fine. The work was on schedule. The work passed city inspection, because I did receive my permit.

It was good. The rates were a little high for some of the supplies. I had to pay a little extra to get more supplies. If you have the supplies with you, that would be a good deal.

ok called them up and apointment was easy they came out the next day and looked over the entire system even explained how old it is and how to flush the water heater. very professional would do it again.

Fast Water Heater replaced two hot water heaters for me, one of which was leaking. They had been installed the same day and I figured I'd be proactive and replace both of them since they sit side-by-side. I'm glad I did it with Fast Water Heater. Francisco M showed up at the exact time he had promised, even though he had called me and said he was coming to LA from Anaheim. He was cheerful and did excellent, clean work! He took his time and answered all of my questions about permits and gave me suggestions for a few additions and reconfigurations that ensured that if the heaters leaked later the water would drain appropriately. The office staff was great also and gave me a little bit of a break on the price since I was having both of them installed and the few upgrades made. David in the office was great to work with. Contacted the fast water heater company about replacing my leaking water heater but they did not contact me back for 4 days so I contacted another company and they completed the work.
