Description of Work: When making the appointment, they did not tell me they didn't repair Whirlpool water heaters. I was never asked what kind I had and the man who came out said 'well, we fix them; we just don't guarantee the work and you have to order the parts'. Since that was one of the options besides buying a new one I felt I paid $50 for nothing.

We apologize and will try to do better up front. Whirlpool is actually the Lowe's brand. It uses custom (reverse thread!) parts that are non standard and that only are avaikable retail and that are very expensive. Essentially Lowes has intentionally made these ezpenaive to service and as a result we don't stock them. Regardless, we will reach out to the customer to get more info on and to address their frustration.

Description of Work: The installer arrived early and gave a detailed explanation of the additional costs of upgrading the site to bring it up to current building codes. This extra work would have doubled the initial installation price, so we declined the installation as we are not currently prepared for the extra cost outlay.

The installation technician was very courteous and answered all my questions. | |The only negative was they installed a 48 Gallon Hot water where I originally had a 50 gallon hot water heater. |

Description of Work: My situation was a bit tricky because the water heater that needed to be replaced was in a tricky spot in the basement behind a furnace. I had to pay an additional $99 for a second guy, but they were straight forward, clear about what they were doing, and efficient. There were significant costs over an above the initial quote, but that was never hidden -- it was always understood the first quote was just the baseline for installation. Compared to a quote and speed of response that I got from another company I saved literally thousands of dollars.
