Description of Work: Replaced water heater... many extras were stated needed to be up to code. Permit was more expensive than others. As stated above, they were very professional, timely and a clean job! The price seemed a little high.

Description of Work: Fast Water Heater did the installation of a water heater I bought at Home Depot. The serviceman was very nice, did the work in the time stated and left the area clean.

Description of Work: I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody. I had to buy a new hot water heater from Home Depot and this is who they use if you have it installed. The hot water heater was $600 and with the installation it was $1200. The guy came out and wanted to do all kinds of stuff which I declined, all I wanted was a hot water heater like what I had before. There were a couple of things that he said I had to do to pass inspection, he said somebody from the city would come out to inspect the job after it was complete. I had him do those things which added more to the job and he left and said I would get the paper work for the inspection in a couple of weeks, which I did, and I called in to the city to have the inspection done. The inspector comes out and said it doesn't pass inspection and lists what needs to be done (expansion tank, heater valve release to the outside of the building, drip pan). I call Fast Water Heater and tell them I didn't pass and they said I signed off on the work and declined to have things done. I explained to them that I thought that I had everything done that I needed to pass inspection, I paid extra to have things the installer said I would have to have to pass. Why would I sign off if I wasn't going to pass inspection. They said it would cost $879 to do the work needed to pass. I asked to talk to a supervisor and explained that I thought I was set and she said I had signed off and it went back and forth and finally they said they could do the work for $475. I told them I would think about it and call them the next day. In the meantime, I called The Water Heater Pro (look at his reviews here on Yelp, that's why I decided on him) and he couldn't believe how much they were going to charge me and he agreed to come out and see what he could do and would try to bring it in for less. He came out the same day. He was here for 3 hours, he couldn't believe how the job was done and pretty much redid the whole thing, he did end up charging me $448, more than I wanted to pay but at this point I just needed to have the job completed. The inspector came out and said it was perfect and passed me. All I can say about Fast Water Heater is how unprofessional they were with the work they did leading me to think I was all set. I would never use these guys, anybody thinking about having a hot water heater installed should get with The Water Heater Pro, he did an outstanding job and did it right.
