Mr. Rojas said there would be access to the pipe under this "bridge" at the back of the house. He entered the back yard through the side gate. He stomped repeatedly over a green tarp in the back of the house, then I noticed him walk to the north side of the house. He pointed to a metal pipe with a cap sticking out of the wall. He asked was the kitchen on the other side of the wall. I said yes, the kitchen counter and sink. He responded that he could access the pipeline under the bridge he needed from there. He brought equipment to the backyard that appeared to be a cable rolled around a metal wheel. He said he would clean out both entrances of pipeline, 2 for the price of 1. When he took the cap off the pipe, he said the large cable would not go through and would need to retrieve a smaller size from his truck. He asked me to check the mainline at the front of the house while he ran the smaller size cable through the pipe. While I looked down the hole, I saw the cable exit the hole and kept extending out. I shouted to Mr. Rojas that the cable had exited the hole and kept coming out. When I returned to the backyard, he said he attempted to access the pipe "under the bridge", however, he was unable to. Mr. Rojas said he would try again to reach the pipe through the mainline. Then he said he would be unable to access "under the bridge", but would try. He said this would be his final attempt and there was no other way to access the clogged pipe. He later said he tried by was unable to access the clogged drain. Mr. Rojas said he is a part of a union and working for Carlos. Afterwards, he said he might be able to access the drain from the laundry. I said the washer and dryer are located in the garage. He said the fee would now be $150 due to the added work he would have to do in order to access the clogged drain. He unhooked and moved my washing machine. He detached a plate that covered the pipe he intended to reach. Mr. Rojas used an electric hand saw to cut away another cover to the pipe. After he removed it, he said another plumber would have changed an extra $100 to do cutting work. He said the pipe was about 2 inches and would allow for a cable to run through. He inserted the cable and said it was going through. He said for me to check the mainline to see water flowing "under the bridge to the sewer". I checked. Mr. Rojas then said to "run all sinks and showers for 5 minutes" to ensure they are running okay. I ran all faucets and showers. He asked for a broom and dust pan, to clean up the area where he worked. He asked for payment and I asked for a receipt. The receipt indicates Jerry Rojas Plumbing, as does his business card. It states nothing about Carlos or Carols' business. On July 31, in the early morning hours, while cleaning up the bathroom in the hallway, I hear a hissing sound that came from the toilet. About 1 pm while emptying urine in the toilet from a bedside commode, the toilet clogged up and water rose to the top of the inside of the bowl. I plunged the toilet and heard the same hissing sound. Later this same date, I noticed that the ventilation hose connected to the dryer was disconnected. I also noticed the plate he removed laid on top of the pedestal next to the water heater. A square piece was attached to the pipe and exposed. I phone Mr. Rojas and left a voicemail for him to call me when he receives the message. I wanted to discuss the issues above. Later that evening, I noticed the water hone in the backyard appeared sliced and damaged. When in the garage again, I noticed the ventilation hose that was detached from the dryer also had a slit in it. I remember seeing Mr. Rojas in this area, which is away from where he worked. I looked at the wall with the water heater on the pedestal and noticed a hole drilled into it. This was a newly drywalled and painted. On August 1, my sister said the toilet in the hallway clogged up after she used it and had to plunge it to clear and flush. Also the second toilet in the master bedroom clogged up this day. I plunged it and used a toilet auger to clear. The toilet in the master bedroom clogged up after every use. I believe Mr. Rojas intentionally provided inadequate and poor service. Furthermore, I believe he vandalized my property. I am requesting a full refund of my $150.
Description of Work: On July 30, 2018, I spoke to Carlos of the plumbing company at 909-419-9302. I explained that the toilets in my house overflowed at the base and flooded the bathrooms. I further explained that the water problem was worse when sinks were used in the the bathrooms and other areas of the house. He said that Ruben would come out to do the job. He asked for the nearest cross-streets to my home. And the evening, Mr. Jerry Rojas knocked at the door and asked had someone called for a plumber. I reiterated what I said to Carlos. He said he'd check the mainline to the house. Mr. Rojas said he saw clogging under the "bridge" in teh pipeline connected to the sewer. He then said that the service would cost $95 to unclog and included a 30 day warranty should the problem happen again. I agreed for the work to be completed.
