When my husband called he mentioned that it was a Moen. Ed let us know that Moen guarantees their products for life. So we called Moen and within 3 days we got a replacement in the mail. That saved us $$$$$. Then I mentioned that our sink's hot water in the kitchen has slowed way down. He cleaned the trap and now the water flows again. Didn't charge us for that!

I heard Craig, the plumber, in our garage talking to his nephew who he brought along about a vacation he was taking his kids on. We hired Craig because he had given us an oral quote of $500 to $600.00 to move our water heater. He said that his rate was $85.00 an hour. After 3 hours my husband told Craig that he would finish the enclosure for the heater himself as 3 hours was up. Craig told my husband that the charge was $720.00!!! I wrote the check and gave it to my husband thinking I would receive an invoice. Craig left our house without giving us an invoice! I called him and told him that I wanted an invoice as it was unethical to charge so much over his quote and then not give us an invoice. Come to find out he was charging $120.00 an hour because he brought his unlicensed and untrained nephew along as a helper. Craig called back and said and quot;Oh, I added it incorrectly, the bill should be $656.52and quot;. This is still over the quote and if I didn't call irate he would have walked off with our money. He brought back the first check with a customer order slip with no itemized charges on it. It just said parts $239.40 (scribbled over), labor $390.00, tax $19.12 and trip $8.00. He would not give me the first check until I asked for it back. This guy seems to makeup charges as he goes along and I think he charged us extra for his upcoming vacation. If you do use him clarify you don't want to pay extra for his untrained nephew to help. Also, tell him you want an itemized list of the parts he used. Protect yourself.

He is very professional, answers the phone, gets here quick within a day or on the same day, he's always on time, his prices are within limits, and I definitely recommend him. He has a crew that works for him, but we always end up with Ed because he lives up the road.
