After I called, Homero came the next day to give me an estimate. We booked a date for the start of the job. He and the workers arrived promptly and after moving my furniture out and sealing the windows, etc., with plastic, they spent the first day doing the repairs and sanding. I went out of town so wasn't around when they applied the finish. By the time I got home, my furniture had been replaced and the floor was finished. It looks beautiful. They did such a careful job matching the wood, no one can tell where the new boards are as opposed to the old boards. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. I plan to use them to refinish the floors in the rest of the house as soon as I can afford to do so.

At first it was a little hard to get someone on the phone, but that problem went away shortly after I began talking to Homero about the job, and email and phone messages were returned timely by office staff. Homero showed up on time for our appointments. He was knowledgeable and helpful as I made decisions. He is also likeable and funny. Homeo removed old wall-to-wall carpet & we inspected the original 1949 hardwood beneath. Together we determined it wasn't worth restoring (cost/time considerations) so he helped me choose a maple hardwood to install over it. His advice and counsel in making my selection was very helpful. Hardwood and baseboard with base shoe was installed even in all the closets -- which I thought was above-and-beyond the call of my order. The installation crew did an excellent job in a timely manner, and cleaned up well after themselves.

Great experience over all. The floors look great and it cost exactly what he quoted. Homero made sure we were happy with the paint color before proceeding. His crew had painted over a small area on a built-in library but when told about it, were in the same day cleaning every thing up. I would totally use them again and certainly refer them to anyone.

They were punctual and pleasant. The person who interacted with me for the quote was good. I felt that I could go with though I didn't see the company.

They were very reasonable. They were very good and professional. They also came back to do some other minor repairs. When ever I called them they came. They worked with me on the color I wanted to use. They were very accommodating. I was very happy with the way it turned out. It was one of those floors that not every company wanted to do. Homero did it because they were very experienced with working with difficult floors. I would definitely call them again.

Homero came to do an estimate at a house I was in Escrow on. We asked him for an estimate to tear out and replace 2 3/4" solid oak flooring. Obviously, being in Escrow, time was at a premium since we weren't going to move in until this project was completed. We were told that we'd have the estimate the following afternoon (a Tuesday). When I didn't receive anything by Wednesday morning, I emailed him to ensure he had the correct email address. Still nothing. On Friday, I called and spoke with a woman who sounded like my call had woken her from a deep sleep. She was totally unprofessional and said I'd get the estimate that day. Now it's the following Thursday and I called and was told (by a guy who said he started working there today) that he was just handed the information ? in other words, he was about to BEGIN work on my estimate. Needless to say, they're not being considered for this or any other job I'll ever do. (And it was a big job ? about 4,000 ft/sq.

The price was several thousand less than my other estimates for the same product.The job went very well. It took 5 days. They were here on time every day. The crew was courteous and extremely careful with the furniture and piano. There was no damage to any furniture or walls. They helped me put felt pads under all the furniture and put everything back in its original location. Their attitude was always good and I did not feel uncomfortable if I had to ask a question or had a request. They replaced hinges on a door as a courtesy to me. They cleaned up everything and boxed the remaining wood and placed it in my garage. The owner came by at a later date for a follow up. His office manager is very efficient and pleasant. It was my pleasure doing business with them. I have recommended Homero to my friends. I feel very fortunate that I found this contractor through Angie's list. It was worth the membership. Great job!

I am very happy with the results, they gave me a good price and finished the job in the time promised. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone.

Job went was described. They did a great job...especially in trying to blend the previously stained floor. They even replaced 5 additional pieces of hardwood floor that did not show until the floor was sanded....at no additional charge! The job had some difficulties due to the stairway. The stairway had to be done (sanded) by hand...so that took time. After sanding, they made an appointment and showed me a few samples of stain that would cover the spots. As I wanted a lighter stain, the dark spot would still show up, but not as much. After picking the stain, they went back to work and finished up. All in all it went well and they met with me to go over the work and allow for any problems. I was very happy with their work and highly recommend them.

It went great. I called the company on a Wednesday. I had new tenants moving in on that Saturday and wanted to get the floors done first. I thought it was a long shot that the job could be completed and ready for moving furniture within 2 days. Homero came over on the day I called and gave me an estimate. He told me he would be able to complete the job in time as he uses a water based finish on the floors. He explained the entire process to me. He showed up with his guys promptly the next morning to start the job. After things got going Homero took off and the guys he left to do the job were courteous and professional. They showed up again promptly the next day and were very gracious about working around the house cleaner and painter. They also did a few extra touch ups for me on the floor in the kitchen for no extra charge. The floors looked beautiful and were ready on Saturday as promised. They also fixed the bathroom door which ended up not closing right. Homero came back right away and took care of the door. At first I thought the price was a bit high but the quality of the work and the customer service was worth it in every way. They are my new floor guys!

The work was great; the price was right; the work was done well. There were problems with communication; specifically they didn't tell us we could take down the seals on the connecting doors, so we spent 2 days going outside to come back in again to use the bathroom. They didn't say when they would come back, so we waited for them more than what was necessary.

They did it on budget, and on time.

It went great. They did exactly what we wanted and the floors are beautiful. We're planning to have them do our kitchen from tile to hardwood soon.

It went very well. He gave us a very reasonable quote, they were a little late arriving the first time, but he went thru the entire house very carefully and the floors look great.

It was professional and friendly. It was a small business and the price wasn't super competitive but it was fair. The workers were polite, clean and everything was nice. It took them a few days to finish it and, now that you mention it, they didn't tell me how to take care of the floor and I will ask them as soon as I can.

Very poorly. I called the company on Thursday, 6/5 and made an appointment for an estimate for Saturday, 6/7 at 3:30pm. They were a no show and no call........

He was very nice, honest and professional. I would definitely call on them if we are to replace the floors.

It went very, very well. Their estimate was about half of the other estimate I had received. The workmen were very punctual, very polite and friendly. They were very careful to tape up plastic sheeting so that the area being worked on was totally enclosed, and that the dust would not go all over the house. Halfway thru the job, we were so impressed with their work that we asked them to increase the scope of work. They did so, with a very reasonable up charge. When they were finished, they called the next day asking to come back to re-do a small portion of the floor that they deemed unacceptable (I didn't even notice). My husband and I were VERY pleased with them and would highly recommend them.

The floor was in pretty rough shape when we first pulled up the carpet, but after they sanded it and put on three coats of finish, it looked incredible. His crew was timely and courteous and extremely knowledgeable. They replaced several old boards in addition to the refinishing. There was even one board that was damaged on the last day of finishing, and the guys came out again to fix that last board. Natasha in the office was professional and extremely diligent, and the entire crew was very concerned with my satisfaction. I couldn't recommend them any more highly.

Homero was hired but when it came to contract signing the situation changed. Homero had a contract for us to review and sign. We as developers have our own contract for him to review and sign. There were certain responsibilities his contract prevented him from taking, such as job delay. Many sub-contractors reschedule, become no-shows, or for whatever reason, simply take longer than anticipated to complete a job. We needed to be certain that if this situation occurred, excessively, he needed to take responsibility. Also, his contract relieves him from taking any responsibility if the material he supplies is damaged. Same goes for the installation. My contract does just the opposite. He did not want to sign our contract, essentially telling us he wasn't willing to take responsibility for his own actions as a flooring contractor and supplier. It was too bad since his price was great. Read the contract and judge for yourself what risks you are willing to take. Estimated cost was $12,000.

Could not have gone smoother. Homero and his team procured the wood (after we signed off on the estimate) and then showed up on time and finished early. Can you ask for more?

Homero arrived on scheduled day to give estimate, which was a little lower than other two estimates I got. His office emailed a written estimate within two days. We scheduled a date for work to be done. Workers arrived on time and completed work in three days and they moved furniture back on fourth day. They were polite, courteous and conscientious about cleaning up dust from sanding. They hauled away old carpeting.

Homero arrived on time for the initial appointment. Provided an estimate and several suggestions. At a later date I called and scheduled the work. Work was completed in a very timely manner; the following morning his workers came by (on time) and moved the furniture back. They did an outstanding job! I also requested an estimate for replacing the hardwood flooring. The estimate was very reasonable compared to other companies.

They had very good communication with me and their work was high quality.

They made a good impression by showing up on time. I felt I could trust them since other members had rated them so highly. They walked around and gave me all the information I needed there on the spot. They explained how they could do the job and let us know a time frame as to when they could get started. I am still considering when to do this project.
