Very professional and knowledgeable very courteous and did not try to scam me

I contacted CMS Lumbing after discovering water damage in one of my bedroom ceiling drywall. CMS sent out Kevin to do a free inspection and assessment of the plumbing fittings, pipes and tubing in the attic above the water damaged ceiling. Kevin spent quite some time up in the attic where it was necessary for him to crawl due to narrow space and moving around ensuring to step on the frame studs and beams due to no flooring. After completing a very thorough inspection checking my plumbing throughout my attic beyond the water damaged area, needless to say, I was greatly relieved when Kevin said he found no plumbing leaks and that the water damage on the ceiling drywall wasn't caused from a plumbing leak. Even after spending so much time crawling around in the attic checking all the plumbing up there, Kevin stated there was no charge standing behind their free inspection policy. However, since he spent so much time crawling around in the attic to check all my plumbing, I insisted on paying him CMS' standard one hour service call fee, which was very reasonable. After the CMS inspection, my home builder contacted me and said that they will assess and affix repairs. It ended up being a roof leak issue. I was very impressed and happy with CMS Plumbing and Kevin was a top notch guy.

Did the job on short notice. Also worked with a roofer and H-Vac guy to help get my roof repaired before a storm. All worked out well and I was happy with the work done. Would hire him again.

Job : replace a Mixit single handle shower-tub faucet/fixtures, all parts supplied by customer. CMS was informed of the job specifics. 1: The plumber "milked the clock." I offered parking next to my garage but he declined, so he had to make 5 trips to get his tools, grease (even though I offered grease he declined), the invoice and shutting off the water and turning it on even though I was experienced at doing that procedure. 2: They need to be up front with the miscellaneous charges, for example T.C. = travel charge on the invoice was $5, and T.D.S. = $3 for grease, they were not quoted up front. (On the other hand they didn't charge me for the caulking or the two pairs of plastic gloves they used.) They are padding the bill any which way they choose. $89/hr is misleading because they don't tell you up front the other (if any) miscellaneous charges. They charged me more time than the time worked (charged 1.75 hours; worked about 1.5 max). The icing on the cake was charging me for the time to prepare the invoice. Talked to the owner of CMS before I wrote this review to discuss invoice and to point to not milking the clock and being up front with the charges, and he was lukewarm. Disgusted with the company!

On time and efficient

Project HAD to be done. We had no choice. After we agreed to hire them, when I spoke to them on the phone to inquire about forms of payment I was told cash/check only. It cost us several hundred dollars extra to have cash in the bank in time to cover the expense. When the owner came to collect we were told they do accept credit cards. We are just a little miffed that we could have saved the extra cost we incurred to pay cash.

Got here in 15 minutes (local). Did the job for a fraction of what Ben Franklin Plumbing quoted so I was pre-disposed to like the work, which was good anyway.

The tech arrived on time. Cleaned up areas after work completed. We discussed additional projects. Tech knew his trade.

The tech showed up on time, was courteous and knowledgeable, and fixed the problem right the first time. I don't know what else I could wish for in an emergency plumber. He also had some recommendations for us on improvements we could make that had nothing to do with his business (the city needs to do some maintenance) so he was helpful without trying to take more money from us.

HomeAdvisor is a good start when searching for contractors. CMS plumbing person was very courteous on the phone. I suggest any potential customer to ask any question(s) that's on their mind. I decided on a water heater I had no knowledge of about quality or reliability (length of advertised life of the unit) because reviews on the net indicated my current choice of a heater was unreliable.

they were low bidder, arrived when promised, didn't waste any time on the job, listened to my concerns and did the job in a timely and professional manner. would highly recommend them.
