The door now slides much more smoothly and locks perfectly. The owner and an assistant were the two people who came and they were very professional and efficient. All in all, a great experience.

Everything went perfectly. From my first call to Linda (who is so helpful) to the first visit from the guys (who explained in detail about the options I had) to the installation once the doors came in, this is a professional organization that take pride in the work they do. For the appointments, they set an hour time in which they will arrive - - not only did they arrive within that time frame for both appointments, the called to let me know when they would arrive (i.e. I have a noon - 1:00 p.m. time slot, they called to let me know they would be there at 12:15 p.m.). Guys were professional and efficient. They took the time to do the job right and even cleaned the mirrored surfaces once the doors were hung.

My patio door did not lock. I tried the basic things like door leveling and lock-lever adjustments. I thought the lock needed to be replaced. The company gave me a flat-rate for replacement. However, upon arrival the technician found that it was slide alignment problem. They charged me only for the basic visit instead of the original quote $245. The technicians were professional, arrived on time, and focused on getting the work done. I would use them again.

They came out, measured the door and showed me several samples of available options. Although getting the door took longer than originally expected (I was told the manufacturer had back orders) when I received the door I was amazed at the quality in both look and operation. A1 On-Track repaired and tuned up sliding doors in 2 ot the apartments that I own. The hardware is 50 years old and the team has a full inventory of different rollers and casters that cannot be found at Home Depot. They converted cranky doors that would not move, to doors that slide smoothly and easily. One of my tenants is disabled, and she was so pleased with the change. I would recommend them to anyone.

I was opening a window one hot evening in May and the spring ballasts broke. I looked up a few merchants on AL, and was referred to A-1. They had someone out within a week, and took the broken ballast with them to order a replacement. That part took a bit longer than expected (2-3 weeks) but they stayed in touch, and called promptly to schedule when the part arrived. A few days later they came by and replaced the parts in less than 15 minutes. They were flexible and very communicative. $325 seems like a lot for the amount of work actually involved, but I'm pleased with the results.

In and out in a couple of hours. Their specialty is repairing vinyl doors that are still in good shape except for original equipment rollers that have failed. Repair is MUCH cheaper than replacing which most companies recommended.

They are pricey, but I get what I pay for. My experience with them was good. They had two persons come out and they couldn’t get it right, so they called and the owner came out and said we need to put a new track over the old one at the bottom.

After about 6 weeks I was notified the door was ready. The installation occurred on July 5th. It took all day as they said it would. The installer is extremely experienced and good at what he does. The installer is also the same person who first came to my house to diagnose problem and order the new door. In the end the door was installed properly and works great. The door, as advertised, is a much superior door to Anderson and other brands. It is more sturdy and yet slides back and forth effortlessly. Fleetwood doors do seem to be the best quality, but you do pay a lot for them and the installation. Getting a quality installer that is very experienced is very important. A-1 fits that description.

They are experts. We had a problem for 30 years with those doors and they came in with some specialty tools and put in two new doors. They work perfectly. It was expensive but they knew what they were doing. They did it without tearing the wall apart. They had a tool that reached in there. They put it in easy and nicely without tearing the place apart. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They specialize in pocket doors. They came and did the job and were very efficient.

Retrofitting the workings in this sliding door and window required expertise acquired over many years, and this company has that expertise. They came when they said they would, had the right experts to design a solution (took more than one expert), and window and door now work great. These weren't simple repairs; the price was good, considering what they had to know how to do.

Overall, it went fine; service was good.

Our sliding door had been sticking badly for many months. After trying to adjust it ourselves (with only minimal success), we decided to call A-1 Sliding Door Repair. Scheduling went smoothly. The technician came to our house and checked the door. He said it needed some small parts replaced. He did not have the parts with him at the time, but he was able to get them, and return to finish the job the same day. The work he did was efficient and professional; the sliding door was fixed. The cost seemed a bit high compared to other service people (e.g. appliance repair), but they do seem to be the best. After about 2.5 months, the sliding door is still working fine.

The quality of work - very good; once they came and installed the door it was done well. BUT: they only showed up on the third time after scheduling an appointment (the first time no one showed up period (after I already ordered the door)). The second time again no one showed up - I called and they said they had the glass for the door, but were out of stock on a double side tape. They had two weeks two stock up on the double side tape while they were waiting for the door!!

A-1 came out the day we had an attempted robbery. Lou, the owner, came out and fixed our patio door and took the screens that were torn off our windows. Patio door frame was damaged beyond repair, but at least we could open it until it was replaced. He gave us an estimate for the total repairs including the emergency services. Door installation was professional with the installer taking extra care to not damage existing structure. I was concerned about our new hardwood floors, but everything was left in great shape. Installer really worked hard at doing a great job, and cleaned up afterwards. I was very pleased with the results. Estimate was accurate and there were no additional charges. When I spoke to Linda the next week, she said that the door came with a lifetime guaranty and to call her if there were any problems. Great local company with dedicated, professional staff.

The patio sliding glass door was no longer sliding easily. A-1 scheduled Jeff to come look at the door. I was quoted $225 to replace rollers at the appt. or $525 - $575 to replace the track if needed. Rollers were replaced for $225. Track is damaged, but isn't standard for replacement. I was told the whole door needs to eventually be replaced since the track cannot. Meanwhile, the door is working fine for now until I can decide on a replacement.

We were given a one-hour window of time when they would arrive but they got here 30 min. late with no prior phone call. They told their office that they had in fact called but we were at home and heard nothing. This is a mobile service with a long experience. The work was first class and the doors now work like a charm. While they are not cheap, they do first-class work. Their motto that "If it slides we make it glide" is appropriate. I can recommend them as an outfit that knows what they are doing, and who are very straightforward in their dealings with their customers. They gave an accurate estimate at the time we arranged the work.

The dispatcher sent the repair man to the wrong address, so it was late in the service window when I got confirmation. The service person was quick, friendly, did the roller and lock replacement and found a better exterior handle that would not interfere with the operation of the screen. Was very knowledgeable on the door system--apparently it's an old-but-good one that lasts and lasts. I had been considering replacement, but he suggested keeping it, and noted that it might be structural as well since these doors were built like a tank. Will definitely call again (maybe to replace the screen door) and will refer.

Our house is 40 years old with very heavy, well made sliding glass doors. I have found it's hard to find parts for them and people to work on them. What I found with A-1 is that they were very prompt in coming out. Once they saw the door they knew exactly what it was. The guy was able to come out and deal with it and then put everything back together just fine. The doors are working much better than they had been. I found the company on Angie's List and I had called around to several places and they either didn't know what I was talking about and wanted to charge me money to learn or whatever. When I called A-1 I felt confident that they could figure out the problem and take care of it. The young man who came out frankly was terrific. He got right on the job, took things apart and did the work in a timely manner. He seemed competent and knowledgeable, in general I was very pleased with the work. He actually managed to fix something that I didn't think anyone would be able to fix. I thought the price was fair, especially given what they had to do. They weren't cheap, but also not overly expensive. I called them for something else, but it turned out that it wasn't something they could do and I felt good that they did tell me it was something they couldn't do.

Got great advice from Jeff during the sales process. Two week later the doors were flawlessly installed. Products are high end and as such are expensive but the products and the company are excellent. I would do business with A-1 again.
