Their price is always high and they always said that their work is guaranteed but they never fix the problem. The problem is still there.

Stanley was smart and experienced, finding the problem in rather short order. On the professional side he couldn't have been more talented, on the personal side, he couldn't have been a nicer person. 100% ++++ satisfied.

Albert Nahman did our sewer lateral in June of 2014. Their bid was fair, and the work was done professionally, on time, and in budget. They did a good job with cleanup too. The reason I'm giving them 5 stars is that starting about 2 months ago, the new access drain they installed in our paving stone driveway started to sink. It got pretty bad and soon I was looking at a 6 inch deep, 1ft wide pothole. I called them yesterday, and much to my delight 2 friendly gentlemen arrived this morning and totally took care of it. Exceptional customer service. Happy to recommend.

There were just gong to be too many extra costs. They wanted to do a bunch of other things that would cost way too much.

I am not able to use this deal because their additional costs are too expensive. Just to have a video inspection of my plumbing would cost an additional $159 on top of what I already paid. I have found someone else with a deal that is much less and have requested a refund for this one.

The service technician was pleasant and easy to talk to. Respectful of the home and environment. Wore shoe covers in home. Attempted to do as much diagnosis of the leak as possible without any drilling. However, was unable to remove some tub drain covers/handles to gain camera access, and had to drill a hole in the ceiling from the floor below. Accidentally broke the drain cover, but failed to mention it, and/or cover the cost to replace it. Ultimately, he did find the source of the leak and explain it. Offered suggestions on how to fix it, however left the work for me to do. Which came down to replacing the tub overflow gasket and resealing it with caulk. We were unable to reproduce a dripping sound that was coming from the laundry room upstairs to the bathroom floor below, but he took some time to assess that as part of the diagnosis. I also received advice I had on some general plumbing questions I had for my home. The company also charges a diagnosis fee of $49 outside of the Angie's List deal. So, I feel that I basically paid a four times the price for a diagnosis only and no additional work. It is possible that the technician was unaware that up to $200 worth of service should have been performed as a part of the Angie's List deal, but he did not seem to offer, or understand that was the case and seemed to expect that I would do the work myself or I would pay additionally for it.

The job was done quickly and professionally. All parts and labor came with a five year warranty. I was impressed with the professionalism and punctuality.

They contacted me and advised there would be a $69.00 travel charge. I decided to cancel the Big Deal and get a refund. They were professional and courteous, it just didn't work out.

The original 40 Gal. gas hot water heater had sprung a leak over the weekend late Saturday (1/3/15) afternoon, thus making this job a urgent need. After doing an internet search for a local Berkeley plumbing business, I selected Albert Nahman since they were a Berkeley Business (support local). Their sales rep arrived Sunday, and provided an estimate (it seamed high) stating that the hot water heater installation needed to be brought up to code. I accepted the estimate and scheduled a service call for the next day, a Monday. The service tech showed up on time, and started the job. As the job progressed it became clear the technician lacked the basic skils required to perform the task. In an effort to install a over pressure relief valve at a remote location (required by code), the tech managed to break a 1/2 inch copper line. This required the opening up of an interior office storage closet wall to gain access to the broken copper line....a 2-3 hour task, not a good start! The home owner did drain the old water heater, and cleared the work site of all obstructions and hazards. The technician had to make many (over 4 times) attempts to repair the damage! The tech was unable to solder/sweat the joints and fittings for the copper lines to make the repairs leak free! The technician clearly lacked this skill! Another bad omen..:( When the technician began the actual task of installing the replacement hot water heater, things started to really deteriorate. The technician lacked proper training and the tools, including parts/supplies to do the job in a professional manner. At this point I (the customer home owner) asked the tech to call for help. When help did arrive (2 more) more general laborers, it turned into a 3 ring circus. No one seamed to know how to do the job, each had their own opinion on what to do. Finally a Senior Plumber/Technician showed on the job who was able to sort things out to some degree with the home owner supervising the job whole time to insure that the job was done right! This should not have been required, I was expecting a professional level of workmanship for $2450.00. Albert Nahman maybe able to do commercial jobs, but Albert Nahman appears to lack the skilled staff for residential jobs like replacing a hot water heater. I would not recommend or use this company again!

The provider was very responsive and punctual. The man that came to our home was very nice. He inspected the project and told me it would take him two hours to complete it and he quoted me an approximate labor cost quote of $1,000. This quote did not include the hardware. He told me the cost estimate is based on project, not hourly. I have no problem with costing by project but $1,000 for this two hour project is not close to being reasonable. Needless to say I declined their service. I'm very disappointed in Angie's List for doing business with this provider. I should have investigated this provider before purchasing Angie's List's "$139 for $200 Plumbing Service" coupon. I'm now out $139. It was a $139 lesson learned but I relied on Angie to avoid this type of incident.

The master bath sink was done in a snap. Looks great underneath. The kitchen was tackled next and this actually took a few days to fix! It was a rough ride because it turned out that the way the drain is arranged is a bit tricky and it previously jimmy rigged at some point. We had a difficult time discerning in the beginning if it was the garbage disposal or the drain or the drain that was slow. Eventually the drain was snaked and the pipes under the sink replaced/updated. This took more time than it should have but I commended the plumber for really making the extra effort and time to get it right. The tub drain in the main bath was fixed perfectly the following week. Update: Had more work done and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely continue to call on them when I need things done.

Our job turned out to be significantly more complicated than anticipated, through no fault of our plumber. He patiently explained the problems and worked hard to find an alternative solution. The extra time/cost was reasonable, given the complexity of the issue. Our plumber (Jose) was polite, professional, and diligent - he worked hard until the problem was solved.

Took a long time, but result was good and the plumber was very willing to talk with me and answer questions or explain choices. It was surprisingly expensive and tok the two men over four hours to do the job.

The work they provided was good. I am only unhappy with the way they handle their billing system.

The technician arrived early (after calling to make sure it was okay). Covered his feet before entering the house and quickly fixed the disposal. He was very friendly and respectful to my 70+ year old mother. I will be using them again soon to install a new fixture and would recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber.

It went smoothly and efficiently. Mike C had all the materials in his truck and he fixed the problem.

Went very well, came two days early. I joined the loyalty program because of the plumber. I would use them in the future.

Flawlessly. showed up on time, did the work in the time they stated, and the bill was quoted with no surprises. Tony Contreras who serviced the tankless also showed me how to get extra discounts through their Diamond Club and other sources. The techs were all very professional, courteous and left our house clean and tidy. I will use them from now on!

I'm the type of guy that likes to support local businesses, but every once in a while you have to venture out for one reason or another. Short and to the point: great team. Customer service 24/7. Knowledgable and honest technicians with a sense of humor...so you know they enjoy their proffesion. No up-selling or pressure to purchase other services or units are reasons I'll be calling them if/when I need plumbibg services.

I’ve used them many times and they provide excellent service. They’re very professional, very fast, and very responsive. They have a nice office staff and plumbers. However, they are very expensive.
