Metropolitan High Performance Windows

It went very well. We are very pleased with the results and with the cost which was $800 to $1,100 less than the other bids. They were knowledgeable and helpful as we selected the features we wanted. They measured accurately, were respectful of our home, installed the windows quickly and beautifully, and cleaned up all debris. The windows look great. The installation only took one morning to do. They had great attention to detail. Would definitely use them again.

The work was done properly. The crew was professional and cleaned up after itself. The initial bid was honest and was handled professionally and the proper permits were obtained. However, there were some communication issues during the final inspection process. Metropolitan did take responsibility for everything but left me feeling like they need a point person for handling some of the details.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It was great. We paid a little bit more because we upgraded and got one extra window. It was around an additional $300 but they still gave us a great deal for the additional because our windows were a little bit bigger than what the coupon implied. They still gave it to us for that price we added on. We were very happy. It was very quick and they did it within a day. They did great. They were very timely. They talked to us right away and came out and did the measurements and discussed options for the additional window. They still gave us a great deal. It was done very cleanly and quickly. It was a great purchase. It was a great deal.

They were prompt and did a good job. They were in and out and there were no surprises with the work.

Great communications, no surprises in work or pricing. They brought a double crew and knocked out the job in one long day. I would recommend them to others.

From the beginning to the end, the crew from Metropolitan Home Improvement did a fantastic job in their seamless installation of 12 windows to my home. Simply said, they produced as they promised, which is greatly appreciated in today's environment. We still very much appreciate the view and openness that these quality windows have provided us.

Everything went well, crew showed up on time and kept everything tidy, and showed me features of the new windows at the end. The owner Gary was my main contact person throughout the process and answered all my questions in a timely manner.

Great service. In fact I met with the company's rep. yesterday and put down a deposit on a new set of patio doors. The crew was on time and did a great job. The windows look great and they are so much more energy efficient than the 50-yr old set that were on the house originally. Can't wait for the new patio door to be installed as my 50-year old sliders leaks like a sib. They company sells a great product that is locally manufactured by SoCal residents. For us we are always glad to buy products that are manufactured locally here in California as I think it is important that we support both the local install companies like Metropolitan and the local manufacturers like Superior windows. In short great product backed by a group of very professional individuals!

We called and interviewed three local company's to replace and install new windows through-out the house. All estimates were very competitive in price for the type and style of window we were looking for. It was Gary from Metropolitan Home Improvement who impressed us most with his knowledge and expertise. He is very personable, listened to our concerns, and was able to spend time with us explaining options, products available, and the installation process. When it came time to sign the contract and order our windows Gary came out to the house again and took window measurements a second time and went over the style type of each window. These are little things that we didn't pay much attention to, like which direction the window would slide, but they are important and we were happy that Gary took the time to go into each room with us and make sure of what we wanted. When installation day arrived MHI's crew came in and knocked out the project in a day and a half. They were removing original metal casement windows. All the windows went in on day one and they finished up on the framing the next morning and completed the project by noon. Inside and outside, the MHI crew did an excellent and professional job and we couldn't be happier. All the windows and the framing looks beautiful.

The installation was very good, but some damage to sills was done during removal. I think the owner should have anticipated that and discussed it with us when we got the estimate, and contracted for the work. It was left to me to repair the plaster damage--or hire someone to do it. Repairing plaster damage is not something I am good at. I don't like these open-ended questions. What else do you want to know? I don't know when the house was built. My answer is an estimate.

The service provider was wonderful to talk to regarding the service. It was my elderly mother that changed her mind regarding window replacement.

StillDavid was very pleasant and showed us the "standard"/"paid-for" tile, the $399 a bathroom tile, but noted that the paid-for ceramic had been replaced by additional cost porcelain, at no extra cost. He showed us options for up-selling, and we went with the $200 upsell for one bathroom--seemingly, at $200 additional, a bit pricey for a 30 square ft. powder room. Nonetheless, the price was still decent. The problem was with David's supplier; they sent him the wrong tile, so we're waiting until this afternoon to have that bathroom tiled, whereas the other bath, with the standard tile, was tiled last week and will be grouted today. Moses the tile setter is a very pleasant man, as is David, and all are eager to please. Had correct tile selection been delivered, we would be done. I expect things to be finished by tomorrow evening. Still, I recommend them. The quality seems good, and when they have the proper materials, the service is prompt.

Run away. Do not use these people. I had 5 windows replaced. The bathroom window arrived with the glass cracked. They installed in and said they would get the window section remade and installed. This has never been done. I have called their office and the salesman. No one has ever returned the call. This is not am honorable company. I am very disappointed. There were 3 installers. 2 of them were very professional and hard working and knew what they were doing. The third worker was sloppy and obnoxious. If they had followed thru with their promise I would have been happy. How ever I am very unhappy with the work and the quality.

When they left we realized the vinyl and the window had scratches and there was a defect in one of the panels. They came out and fixed one window but didn’t have the materials to fix the rest. I leave messages for them and they never call back.

I received the referral for Metropolitan from our HOA. About a year or more prior, the HOA had some major construction done to the front of the building (built in 1982) which required a few units to replace their original sliding glass doors and some windows. The contractor doing the major construction subcontracted with Metropolitan. They did a great job and the HOA approved these windows for all homeowners who wanted to replace their sliders going forward. I called Metropolitan. Gary, the owner, called me back promptly to set an appointment for an estimate. I had received a quote a few years back from one of Metropolitan's competitors that was significantly more (more than 50%) higher than Metropolitan's estimate for the exact same work. So immediately I was extremely pleased with the price as I thought I would have to spend more. The crew, headed by Perry, got here promptly as scheduled to do the work. They were professional and kept the place very clean while working. The expected time to complete was 2 days. However, due to some issues with our building (it sits on an area with a high water table and has a lot of settling and unevenness in the floors/ceilings as a result), the job took an extra half a day. They came back Saturday morning in addition to the Thursday and Friday that was scheduled. Gary, Perry, and his crew were all extremely professional and capable. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the product, the quality of the workmanship, and the courtesy/professionalism of the staff. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone in need of their services.

It was pretty good! I'm very happy with them. I didn't have to pay anything extra outside the big deal amount.

It was great. The removed all of the old windows and installed the new windows at a great price. They were done in 1/2 a Day! I would totally use them again!

Gary called me right back after my initial call and set up an appointment with me. He was prompt for out appointment, which is always nice. He gave the the price right there and showed me the type of windows I was ordering. Two weeks later the windows were installed and looked great. The glass for one of the bathroom windows needed to be replaced and he ordered the new glass and has his crew come out and replace it quickly with no hassle. Now my house is the best looking house on the block :). I would definitely recommend Gary and Metropolitan Hope Improvement to anyone!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I used them about a month after I purchased the deal.

I called the company prior to purchasing the Deal to ask a few questions. The call was promptly returned and I received the answers to all my questions. I was satisfied with the information so decided to proceed with the purchase. The deal was a lot better than a similar quote from my local hardware store. First, the company representative (I believe it's the company owner) stopped by to take the final measurements and again to answer any questions we may have. That appointment lasted about 1 hour. We've got to see and touch the sample replacement window which was a great help. One of the 3 windows from the deal was a little larger than the dimensions listed on the deal. There was a small charge for that. We also needed one more window replaced which came out to about $275. The installation was scheduled for 5/16. On 5/16, the installers arrived. They've made a replacement within 2 hours. Everything looked great and all the debris including old windows were taken away. It's been approximately 3 weeks now. The windows look and work great. I am very happy with the price and work done by Metropolitan.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They came on time and did the work. Their offer was 3 windows and I amended it because I wanted a sliding door and 2 windows so I had to add more money because the sliding door was significantly larger. The offer was $900 and I paid $2,100. They came within 2 weeks of when I purchased the deal. I didn't do a lot of homework but I felt the price was fairly reasonable for the sliding door because I had priced one that I could buy and put in myself. They had to cut down a window and open up a whole wall so they had to do demolition and haul it all away. I thought the pricing for the window was average. They were quick and they knew what they were doing. The owner of the shop returned my call right away and he was very competent in knowing what he was talking about. They were right on time. I would probably use them again.

I used two Angie's List Big Deal special offers for this project. They did excellent work, however one of the windows they brought was for another order so they had to come back to bring the right window. Also, the screen on my slider door developed some problems to they have to replace that. I have no problem with them; they did great work, cleaned up after themselves and took out the old stuff. They did nice work and were good guys. They did some extra work around the windows for free. It was all good; they came on time and were clean and neat. They also were considerate and did a good job. They were on time but were a little later than I thought they would be and did not call ahead of time.

They were good. I have no complaints. I had two extra windows and he charged me for the same rate. I would recommend them. They did the work and I was very happy with it. They were very accommodating and prompt. It was done the way I wanted it done. The pricing was very good. Very professional.

The initial contact was with the owner who was accommodating and very patient. He helped me take advantage of the deal on Angie's list and then figured out the complete cost of the entire job right on the phone. There was no waiting. A week later he drove to Palm Desert from Costa Mesa to confirm my measurements. I signed the contract and scheduled the appointment. His men arrived on appointment day and almost finished the job. They will return this Friday to complete the job and do the door in my other property. His employees were courteous, clean and friendly. The work is impeccable and would and have recommended them to friends and family.
