UNITED ELECTRIC INC

Went very well. Came the day after I requested the jobs. Quickly trouble-shot problems. Worked quickly. Reasonable cost. (I provided the light fixtures and all bulbs except the garage ceiling lights.) On-time 3 out of 4 visits. I am especially happy to have the outdoor lighting fixed. The mailbox light had not worked for 15 years- he discovered that the wire in the pole had been cut. The socket on the fixture outside my door needed a socket replaced- not something I was aware of, or would attempt to fix.

We needed to have some work done at our house. 1. Replace every breaker in our panel as some were 30+ years old and it was a mixture of brands. 2. Add whole-house surge suppression 3. Add a lightning arrestor 4. Run 60 amp service from one side of the house to a shed on the other side of the house. We contacted three companies to provide us with estimates; two with super service awards. All were found on Angie's List. United Electric was the second company to look at the work. Steve came out to the house to look over what we wanted to have done. He explained everything quite well and even mentioned that they would pull a permit for the work. This was important to me because I rely on contractors to know when a permit is required. The third company (super service award winner) to show up told me that a permit was not required but only after I specifically asked. This kind of put me on guard a bit. We ended up hiring United Electric to do all the work and everything went quite well. Their employees kept me informed throughout the whole process of what was being done at the time. When it came time for the inspection for the permit, I flat out asked the inspector if a permit was required for this type of job. He said "absolutely." Needless to say, I am very glad that I went with United Electric as I would hate to find out during a sale that a permit should have been pulled. Not only would I hire United Electric again, we did hire them for the second part of the job which involved setting up the shed with lighting and receptacles.

Really well. Steve help me put together a permit package to submit to the local jurisdiction. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

Very well, the team was polite, professional and easy to work with.

The job took 3.5 hours with two men (an electrician and his apprentice). Work was neat, communication was good. They put the switches and GFI receptacles exactly where I wanted them. I was billed $105 per hour and $80 for materials. I will have them return to do the finished wiring and install the undercabinet lights once the cabinets are installed.

Everyone was very professional and responsive. Steve came out and walked through the house with me to give me an estimate and talk about options for switches. He stayed in communication with me through the estimate and work. Jim and Alex came out to do the work, and they were great. I'd definitely hire them again.

The representative came and diagnosed the problem immediately. He fixed the problem quickly and was on his way in a very few minutes. He was pleasant and professional and I will hire them again when I need electrical assistance.

They estimated cost of service was between $1,000 & $1,100. I never actually met the guy. I just called over there and explained what we wanted to have done. He never actually came over and looked at what we were asking for, so I never had any personal interaction with them. He just sent me a quote based on what I explained on the phone. We actually paid about $650 for the same work through a different Angie?s List company, which I thought was a fair price. The estimate broke out what I had explained that we wanted.

Great! The electrician was great about communicating what he was doing, what decisions he needed me to make, what didn't need doing (the doorbell just needed a new battery). All is still in great working order. Clean work area.

The problem surfaced again and I elected to try a different contractor.

They showed up on the day and time they promised. Did the work right away, answered all of my questions. This is the second time I have used them. They are great. The only reason they got a B in responsiveness was because they were very backed up on work, and took a while to get me scheduled. I will always call United for my electrical work.

Stece arrived on time, figured out a cost effective alternative in the older existing panel and provided a full estimate. He then agreed to work on a time and materials basis as I found it easy to do much of the 'bull work" myself knowing what was needed. His team then arrived on time and quickly finished their work. They were knowledgeable, conscientious and helpful and the whole project went very well. I cant say enough good about these folks, they exceeded all expectations, and I am sophisticated enough to know good work when I see it.

Remarkable service. Promptly rescheduled a rain-delayed crew to address a pre-holiday "emergency."Professional communication and prompt repair. Will definitely use again.

Steve was great from the get go! he is clearly an honest seasoned professional...he assessed our current electrical setup and explained various options .... and actually advised of what we did NOT need....thus saving us unnecessary expenses. we would call Steve for anything electrical and recommend him to friends and family.

They were careful, courteous, and efficient, and carried out the work perfectly. Their solution to our problem with the fan was innovative and worked really well.

We had contacted United Electric one afternoon, left a message and Jim (one of the electricians with United) contacted us the next morning and they had an opening the next day. Jim and asst. Ruben arrived Saturday morning about 8:30 and worked until Noontime and completed half of the list of items. Some additional supply items were needed and they would be back and finish the following week. Jim called on Monday and let us know he would be sending Aaron out on Tuesday to complete the job. Aaron arrived with his asst Nick Tuesday morning and worked until 6 pm. Job completed except for the under counter lights, which was on back order at the supply house. Those lights were installed about a week later once they had arrived. Throughout the entire process, all workers were neat and cleaned up continually throughout the day and after the completion of the day. I am very, very pleased with the worked performed and will use Untied Electric again for future projects. Will recommend them to friends.

Called ahead to let us know when the crew would arrive. Work was completed on time and on or under budget each time. We have used United Electric on three occasions. They are outstanding.
