The product sample looked good. The quote I received was too high and the final price manipulated by various discounts that made it sounded like I was getting a deal was still high. The discounts which was good only at that time were used to high pressure me to put down half of the cost to receive the discount. After two hours of haggling I said thank you and told her I will call her after I check out their offer. God thing I checked the Angie's list. Now, I am looking for estimates from other local companies, after I check their reviews on the Angie's list.

We entered a contract to add a sunroom addition under part of our back patio. The salesman, Tom Dannenbaum, had been here previously to give us an estimate for replacement windows but we used another company because of the high price of the Andersen windows. This time we called them as one of several contractors to do an estimate for this addition. He talked us out of the location we wanted because his company couldn't do it there. He gave us a price which was too high, and then he called his general manager (John Poole) to negotiate a lower "special" price, which was agreeable to us, but we had to take the offer that day and made a deposit of over $6000. We are normally not that gullible but the price was good and the plans sounded like what we wanted. Tom measured the area and looked it all over carefully and gave us a rough drawing of the plans. About a week later their contractor came out to look at the specifics needed for the job, and indicated there would not be a problem. After several phone calls to them to see how the process was going, we received a call from Mr. Poole telling us they couldn't do the job for the price they had contracted for, and it would take about 10 days to get our money back from "corporate. He told us that he had thought that the sunroom would only have one wall and blamed this on "miscommunication" between him and the salesman when they originally negotiated the price for us. If he had looked at the contract or plans he could have determined immediately that this was not the case. Further, the permits and the sub-contractors would all cost too much, and provided more excuses like this. We are really appalled that we wasted almost a month on this company's delays for a project that needs to be done by Christmas and should have been if we had contacted the other contractors that we had lined up. We can't tell anyone more forcefully than this NOT to use Renewal by Andersen for anything. They shouldn't be allowed to do business if this is what kind of "service" one receives.

Would never recommend -high pressure, misleading sales. Salesmen arrived on time and measured our existing windows. He began by telling us how terrible vinyl windows are, but we stopped him and said we are not looking at vinyl. We told him that we had estimates for Marvin's integrity and Pella Impervia and ProLine. He went on to thoroughly bash Marvin and Pella (very unprofessional) He gave us an article on fiberglass, that was general fiberglass information including boats, and stated that fiberglass windows like Pella's Impervia require monthly maintenance of the fiberglass to keep them in good shape. I stated that Impervia was highly ranked by Consumer Reports and he was misinformed. Finally, he shared some information on the history of Anderson and the benefits of its windows. We asked to see a window. He brought in a small window sample, this is almost an hour and a half into the appointment. The sample windows appearance did not give us confidence in the product so we asked if we could see a full size window and sliding doors. He asked us why we would want to see them?! He said there was a showroom in Phoenix of another Anderson dealer, but they did not have a showroom in Tucson yet. We told him that we wouldn't be making any decisions today, and he stated that we would not get the "home show special" if we didn't allow him to finish the estimate and then sign up to purchase today. We asked him to leave. Very unprofessional experience. Anderson may have a good product, but this was a horrible representation of it.

I have never spent a longer four hours in my life. Their sales tactics were high-pressure and their prices were high. They were responsive and punctual. I would never use them in the future.
