I called the owner, Henry Forrest late last fall to repair a tile roof with wood rot. He quoted a price of $1900 after looking at the project. I was not quite ready and called in early 2020. for the next several months, he did not call back or called and said he would give me a date to do the work. After several months many calls, the work was completed June 8 for a price of $2200. His son, Henry, was here with a friend whose boys were running all over and yelling with no supervision. The workers did a poor job of cleaning up leaving lots of cement and wood in the yard. On my request they came back and cleaned up most cement chunks. I would not recommend them. I have not climber up on my roof to see if the work was done well.

I hired S and H to repair/coat my roof and to coat the wood trim on my home. As far as I know, the roof was done properly, as was most of the wood. However, they did not complete the job on a relatively small portion and also did not remove some excess repair material from a wooden post. It is still there. I called them two weeks ago and again one week ago to finish up. I was told they would take care of it, but they have not. UPDATE: S and H showed up on 6/12/2020 and finished the wooden post by removing the excess material and painting that needed to be finished. However, they did not apply the sealant to the faces of the beams which face the sun. I was told by S and H that they would recoat them (I cannot tell if they were even coated, to begin with) to my satisfaction. The two men who finished the post knew nothing about this and said I would need to contact S and H management (the son of whom told me they would coat them). So, I cannot give this company particularly high marks for customer service since they did not keep their word. I will not know about the quality of the roof until the monsoon season comes. FINAL UPDATE: on 6/18/2020, S and H finished coating the beams and now the job has been completed to my satisfaction.

Quick work, had a 6 man crew. Finished in less than a day spraying polyurethane foam and then coating my roof. Also had them paint my eaves.

Very thorough in their work. Customer service was exceptional. Spoke with Henry Sr, Henry Jr and Alex. Very friendly and easy to talk to and understand the work done. Would highly recommend S&H Contracting for any job.

I cannot go onto the roof to see the quality of the repair. They were going to send someone to repair and repaint the ceiling of the patio last Friday but no one has come by.

Job wasn't done up to our expectations and quality of work was not what we expected

I base my rating on the fact that they were available and did the work amazingly fast but since it is a roof I have not personally inspected the work and have no way of really knowing how good a job was really done Very nice people and as far as I know did great work. I think I probably paid a bit much but it was worth it to me to get it done right a way.

Excellent contractor to work with! I also hired them to paint my house.

First thing to happen was the price jumped when the son showed up, inspection missed many items, I balked and the son cut his increase in half. He wanted to add $1500 to the dad's price . I still had them do the work, they left trash in yard, empty calk tuber, food wrappers from lunch, cigarette buts and bits and pieces of sealant . I am now wondering about my warranty after a negative review. I also wonder about Home Advisor.

Professional and easy to work with. On time, efficient, left yard clean. Excellent work and competitive price. Did a good job explaining recommendations and problems found during inspection of the roof.

Excellent Job. Henry, the boss and his son, Henry, were very professional and managed a great team. The job was completed as specified over the holiday period. They not only repaired the standing rain water issues with our flat roof but also recoated the roof (which was due) to include working with our Solar Pool Water Heating Coils. The price was very reasonable and there were no surprises. We high recommend them for roof maintenance and repair work.

S & H responded within 1 hour to my inquiry. Had a job quote in another 2 hours with pictures of issues on my roof. Scheduled repair for next day and Henry and his crew showed up exactly on time. They covered all landscaping and spoke with neighbors and even took precautions with covering their car or have cars moved to prevent any spray that could be carried by with wind. The work was completed and completely cleaned up in 4 1/2 hours. I was shown "after" pictures and what a difference! I found them to be fairly priced and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend S & H.

Repair flat roof foam great job, reasonable price

Updated 01/30/2020 S&H sent a worker after that weekend, and he spent several hours on the roof. There now have been 2 days of significant rain here, and I am happy to report that there are no leaks. Thank you! 12/19 It rained a week after the repairs were completed and the original leak plus 3 other locations were worse. I called and was told they would be out after the rains stopped. They have not returned, but I expect to see them in the next couple of days (Christmas, more rain and a weekend have occurred since our conversation so I am allowing for that). I will let you know what transpires.

They are supposed to be pros, but they do not act like it.
