After signing the contract, I had a call from Sterling (within 24 hours) confirming the A/C unit type and a proposed install day within the next three days, the best days with my schedule. The install took 2 days using a 2-3 man crew. This included a new compressor, fan and gas heating unit in an attic plus an additional air register, minimal ductwork, and new thermostat. The technicians were friendly and explained the work and time estimates throughout the 2 day install; basically providing regular updates. When the work was complete, the crew had vacuumed every piece of insulation off my carpet and picked up all the trash and materials from the install. Bill sat down with me for about 30 min. and went through item by item of the install to ensure all agreed upon services were complete. Amazing service! My house was around 120F during the two days and not once did Bill become agitated or abrupt with me and my questions. I love my new A/C and could not have been happier with how easy the installation and payments were for me. I will be using Sterling for all of my A/C and plumbing needs in the future!

Everything went well. Bill came earlier in the three hour window we were given, so that was convenient. He was very friendly and professional. He explained everything to our satisfaction. He took his time and did a thorough job.

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled after having such a good experience with this company and the technician Dan. I was at work during the time of service. I was contacted by phone by Dan the technician who informed me of the suspect cause for the filter problem. I learned that my type of filtration system is not a common model. Dan did not have the replacement filters for my model. He had already called the store to ask about supplies and was told that the store had none available. I was told that we would have to order them and have them installed on arrival (prolonging the job who knows how long). Dan could likely sense my disappointment. This is where Dan did what most other technicians wouldn't. He called another store (at a location much further away than the original supply store) and was able to get the job fixed that day. Yes, this extended the time on the job and most likely ate away much of the profit. However, this made me very happy and a smart company understands that success comes from happy repeat customers. I highly recommend this company. Ask for Dan.

Sticker Shock The service technician was fine and I'm sure the service was okay, but for some reason Sterling Services wants to put their stickers on everything they touch. They tagged my attic entrance, the AC Unit, and the power connection. I find that annoying and really don't appreciate having a company that I only hired for a one-time service call doing this. I can see it if have an ongoing relationship like a annual service contract, but I don't. This happend last year also, but when I called them they claimed that wasn't their policy and that the technician was supposed to ask first. Well apparently that's not their real policy. Not sure I'll use them again.

I sent them a message via Angie's list and got a quick call back to schedule a date and time. We were given a 4 hour window which worked fine for us. Kent arrived within the time window. He ran tests on our HVAC and informed us that everything looked OK. He told us about the different maintenance plans they have and we signed up for the one year plan for $129 which includes the current check-up and one later this year to check the heat pump. Kent was professional and explained everything clearly.

The technician found a defective part in my AC unit which was the reason that it was not working. Previously, my unit was not cooling down my house. The tech came out after hours, within 45 minutes of calling. He was honest, polite, professional, and explained everything in detail.

Bill Maplesden with Sterling Services came out to perform an HVAC tune-up for us. He was very honest and let us know everything was working well and there wasn't much service we needed, but he did suggest we get start assist installed and that we re-do our condensation line since it wasn't up to code. He came back and performed both of these install / services for us, and did a great job. Bill is very professional, honest, and punctual. It's been a pleasure working with Sterling Services.

Perfect. The tech arrived on time, very informative, very prepared. I expressed concerns I had and he went right to work. AC Maintenace is a service your really don't know what the results will be. Meaning, if the AC works everything is fine. If it breaks there is something wrong. Performed what I believe was a very throughout cleaning and maintenance on my unit. Glad to hear everything is good. The tech described to me a few of the key things to look at. Maybe some upgrading in the future, but these guys were really good. Clean, Efficient, Thoughout...what you want in a maintenance program.

Frankly, I was iffy on whether I wanted a check-up. After all, it seemed like an opportunity for someone to tell us we needed to fix something that was working. The tech was very professional, and thorough, and provided a clear report of his inspection. He put in significant time and was clear about the condition and where we were likely to have to see future repairs. Overall, not only happy I had the inspection done before things got ridiculously hot, but glad to have found a provider I can trust when things do go wrong.

It went fine but I was a little annoyed because the guy who came out gave me a different price for Freon than the guy who called. They honored the price given by the guy who called, there was no problem, but if I hadn’t been here and my wife would had just paid him, it was quite a bit more.

The service tech was knowledgable, on time, and up front about all the potential costs and repairs needed.

Dave Porter came out this afternoon. He was very polite and professional, very easy to talk to. He found the problem in a few minutes & had the furnace fixed and running! Will definitely call for any problems in the future.

He spent the time to go over in detail what was performed and what his recommendations were for maintaining the furnace in the future. Service was excellent!

I was extremely lucky to find this company through a large review site online. Dave and Bill did a complete and professional analysis of my HVAC system. They were on time and, again extremely professional. I ended up signing a 4 year maintenance program with them, not do to a hard sell but do to their knowledge and price. While the two technicians were there I asked them about reverse osmosis options. Two days later Mike showed up and installed a top of the line reverse osmosis system. The system was expertly installed at 1/3 the cost I was quoted two years previously by one of the big expensive plumbing/ac firms in town. While Mike was there I also showed him some other work that I might want done in the future in my master bathroom. He indicated with confidence that Sterling could also do this type of work. Bottom line. I trusted these skilled, professional technicians in my home and in my condo complex. This has been an excellent experience from beginning to end. What a find! Don't hesitate to hire this firm.

was told a/c needed a compressor after cleaning. a/c just bottomed out last week Mike called me to see what the issue we were having with the ac unit. He felt that since we had a further problem he was sending a check for the replaced compressor. I really appreciate this prompt follow thru. Sterling is a very trustworthy company

I called their main number at about 1:30 pm and their operator, Anastasia, picked up right away. She was friendly and professional and scheduled our repair to be looked at within just a couple hours. They were at our home as promised... calling as they left their previous location to let us know htey were on the way. Two techs showed up, right on time, very friendly and professional. They immediately diagnosed the problem which happened to be just a couple dead batteries in the thermostat! Always so encouraging and heartfelt when a company does the right thing and doesn't try to sell you something you don't need. Thank you Sterling! Great company!
