Everything went well. I was very satisfied with the fan as well as the insulation itself.

Everything was fine except: Need to put plastic down for the areas that they are in. We had to do that. How does a customer know if you got the exact insulation paid for. Tech answer was not that helpful. They have bags of the insulation on the truck. We thought all the bags were for our house but Tech stated the rest was for another job. I want to know how many bags for a 1000 square foot area and did we get the right amount.

They arrived on time and did the job. They cleaned up after themselves and put things back that had to be moved to get into the atitic.

In a remodel of our master bedroom and bathroom all of the insulation had been removed from that area. Barrier Insulation honored the certificate I purchased from Angie's List. They were able to schedule me on short notice because they had another job in my area. They scheduled us on a Friday morning at 10:30 AM. On the day of the service they called and had finished their other job early and wanted to know if they could come to our house at 9:15AM. They arrived, went to work immediately and were finished well before 10:30. I am impressed with them

Provider did not show up on the originally scheduled day, they had misfiled the paperwork and did not put me on the schedule. I was told to expect them between 9 and 10am but instead they showed up unexpectedly at 7:30am while I was on a telecon. They were able to blow in the insulation through access in the garage rather than through the master bedroom closet which reduced the amount of insulation mess. There was no real clean-up done and my garage attic which I use for storage has overspray that we are still dealing with. When I went up through the master closet more fell down because that was not covered before the blowing started. I can't tell how many square feet were actually added so I will assume it was the correct amount. A trip charge of $25 was charged even though the deal states the charge should have only been $20 and I was not offered a receipt. Lastly, they moved my garage can 10 feet into the street and then just left it there in the way of the next car to come by. These guys are just okay, not great.

It seemed like it was okay. They were finished in a few hours.

Overall the service went well. Nothing bad but nothing to write home about either. The radiant barrier used was an inferior quality than what I expected. The added insulation seemed to has helped quite a bit, although I paid more than I thought I should have for it. Good service overall.

We strongly recommend this company. The techs arrived as scheduled, They were polite, efficient, hardworking and cleaned up the garage of small clumps of insulation which dropped when they finished. One tech was in the attic while the other was on the truck feeding it through a pipe into the attic.. I have not received the first AC bill since installation but expect that my AC bill will be a lot lower than previously.

It went just fine. It was very personable. They worked out a time and the guys got it done early in the morning very quickly. I am very pleased.

Experience with the company was fine. Only "surprise" was that the area over the garage is considered an "extra charge"- fine...always something, right? Other than that, the product is a disappointment- still gets way hot in the attic and my electric bill has been the same in the summer as the year before. Bummer.

I called the top few insulation companies listed on Angie's List. Rick was the only one that picked up his phone without me having to leave a voice mail. He was friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely appeared to want our business. He was able to provide an accurate quote over the phone based on square footage of the house. On the day of the work, his crew arrived promptly, got started immediately and worked quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up after they were done as well. It's still in the 80's outside but we can already notice a HUGE difference in the interior temperature of the house. I enthusiastically recommend Barrier Insulation!

Barrier Insulation was one of the companies I had considered to do the insulation, however I chose another. When getting the initial quote I also asked about availability, since I had a short window to have this work done. Anyway, their was a communication problem, probably on my part, and he showed up on the day he said he could perform the work. When I explained the mix up, and that the work had already been done, he apologized - which he didn't need to do. I apologized and felt really sorry that he invested his time driving out to my house... and could have had a job for someone else... So I just wanted to point out his professionalism and understanding and consideration. This shows that he considers the customer first. That's a quality that you don't always find with company's anymore (or people for that matter).

The scheduling person was reliable in returning my calls. The service crew arrived an hour early (I had arranged for them to arrive at 7am, and they arrived and rang my bell at 6am) but they were polite and cooperative when I asked them to wait. The main entry to the attic is in the bedroom, and they were concerned about dragging hoses through the house so they were able to complete the job by using a small opening in the laundry room, even though it was not optimal. They completed the job in a timely manner and left the area completely clean. With the exception of the extremely early arrival, which was apparently a misunderstanding, I was completely satisfied with the work.

All was finished without any problems.

The men the company sent to complete the job were punctual and curteous. They were careful with their equipment and how they moved about the house. The work was accomplished quickly and with very little disturbance to the rest of the household. The installers wore booties over their work shoes while in the house and cleaned up after themselves. The one thing I would have like to have received when they were done was a document stating what they did and what they found to go along with the inspection part of the deal, which is the reason I gave them a B in quality. However, overall it was a good experience and worth the money.

The team at Barrier from the front office to the actual crew doing the job are first rate. After ordering the service online thru Angie's list, the office contact me for a date and time to complete the job. On the day of the job the crew was on time and completed the whole job in less than 2 hours (1750sqft). They are organized and know the job, two things I really look for when ordering a service. They also take time to discuss any specific questions you have regarding the best way to keep your house insulated.

Barrier arrived on time,6:30, at my home.There was one small problem, which was entirely my fault. I forgot that I had a 6:00a.m. breakfast meeting that morning. I also didn't awaken anyone to tell them that Barrier was coming. When Barrier came, of course, due to my lack of communication they couldn't start the work. The were, according to members of my household, very polite about the miscommunication. They asked that when I arrived home to contact Barrier. When I arrived home I contacted Rick, and apologized for my error. After the men finished the other job, they did my house's insulation. The guys were neat, polite, and explained exactly what they were doing to me (one of my requirements). When their work was checked,I was quite pleased with the quality of the workmanship. I would definitely use them again!!!!!!!!

Contacted Rick, the owner about getting insulation in our 1989 year home. Rick was very helpful and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and suggested putting in an attic fan as well as the insulation. Rick explained very clearly exactly what would take place and gave a " to the penny" estimate based on the square footage of our 2383 sq. ft. home. We set up an install date for the following week. He said installers would arrive between 6&7am. Sure enough, on "game day" they showed up at 6am on the dot! We had two installers who were helpful, courteous and very pleasant. They got right to work and blew in insulation to R-30 in our 2300+ attic area. We had very little of the 1989 vintage insulation left so they had lots to put in. They also repaired the sagging batt insulation that was on the vertical walls. After the insulation they installed an attic fan and tied it into our circuit breaker box. They worked for 3 hours and 15 minutes. When they were finished they swept up loose material and explained how the fan was installed and how it would work. These fellows were so nice and very pleasant to work with. I would have them back anytime but alas, no more work for them to do! We have been doing various remodel projects and have had many workers in and out. These men were just great. Congratulations to Barrier owner, Rick, for having such great employees.

Make sure you have an agreement before hand on the sq footage of your job and what is actually going to be done. My bill was twice what I was expecting to pay. Otherwise I was happy with the work that was done. I feel that I was taken advantage of on the billing.

I liked them. They were thorough, courteous and prompt. I would use them for the service they recommended.

The crew arrived promptly as promised and completed the job in a couple of hours. They were professional and courteous and cleaned up after themselves when the job was done. From the looks of the completed work the insulation was installed evenly and as promised. I'm sure my energy bills will be lower due to having a better insulated attic. I would recommend Barrier Insulation for insulation needs.

It was a simple job. House is1300 square feet, they insulated the attic for 300.00.

Arrived on time, very careful getting the hose routed upstairs to the attic, provided good insulation coverage, promptly completed.

Fine, the men performing the installation were kind and professional. The advertised price was again, misleading and for a small portion of the house instead of the entire house.
