I first went to Mountain View Auto about three years ago. I had bought new bulbs for my headlight and was told by the seller that it was something I could do myself. Well, it was not an easy fix. I went to a national chain I had used for about 10 years and was told that they would only install items I had bought from them (which were much more expensive). I was driving home and deciding what to do and saw Mountain View. I pulled in, explained my problem and asked if they could help me. Sure was the answer. They installed the bulbs and discovered my air filter was way overdue. This was despite my adherence to regular maintenance. I went next door, bought an air filter and they installed it for me. The bill -- no charge.
Since then, I have been a very happy customer of Mountain View. I can't say enough good things. Especially that I have never known them to do any unnecessary work. It's great to be able to stop with a question/concern and more often than not, have it looked at quickly. I have an older Explorer and they have kept it running like a champ.
If you are tired of sitting in dealers/chain waiting rooms and getting outrageous bills, you should give them a call.
