Contacted this business to replace/install a blower motor relay. First called on Wednesday, 5/14/14. Was given a quote, which was reasonable, so I wanted to have this business do the work. I asked for Saturday hours of operation and was given the information. I asked if I needed an appointment and was told no. I arrived Saturday, 5/17/14, at approximately 8:30 a.m., only to be told that there is no mechanical work done on Saturday! I advised that I would return on Monday, 5/19/14. I made arrangements to take time off work (without pay) to have this done, as my car air conditioner will not work until the relay is replaced and the temps are getting hot. I tried to locate the relay myself, to speed up the process, but was unable to locate it in a tri-county area. Because I could not find it, at 1:09 p.m., I contacted Xpress Lube again and asked that they verify they either had it in stock or would be able to get the part for this service that afternoon. I was told that they would check and get back to me. At 1:11 p.m., Xpress Lube called me back and confirmed that they would have the relay that afternoon. I arrived at approximately 2:20 p.m., sat for about a 20 minutes where I could hear someone calling various parts supply stores, searching for the relay. Shortly thereafter, I was informed that they did not get the part and could not get it until the next day. Mike, the manager, was apologetic, but that does not compensate me for the 3 hours of unpaid leave I took based on his promise that the job would be done that afternoon. Mike told me the part would be in by 8:30 the next morning, Tuesday, 5/20/14. I told him that I could not take off work again, that I would be in around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, 5/20/2014. Since the business is open until 6, that was not a problem. Because I had already been twice, and both times the business was unable to complete the task, on Tuesday, 5/20/14, I called at 4: 26 p.m. to be sure the part was in before heading that way. A person who identified himself as the assistant manager (sorry, I do not recall his name) told me that he was not aware of any part being ordered or any part being delivered! He told me he would check, although he would have known if a shipment came in, and would call me back. It is now 11:32 a.m. the next day, 5/21/14, and no one from Xpress Lube has called me. This is not how a professional business operates!! I will have this work done elsewhere. We have utilized this business for our work fleet but I will begin steering much of that work to another business also.
