I had engaged Everdry on two occassions. Both times were as a result of seeing them at the NARI Home Improvement Show. The first time they contacted me I had decided to buy a new house and sell my old house. I indicated that I would call them if I needed their services. The second time I had them come out for an estimate. I needed an assessment of my basement issue in order to determine if I was going to fix it before I sold my house or if I was going to leave it for the prior owner and negotiate the price accordingly. The gentleman that came was very polite and thorough. He gave me two options of varying prices (6,400 - 12,500) but in the end told me that it was my decision to determine what I wanted to do. I told him that I was in the process of getting several estimates and opinions and woud call if I wanted to have the work done before the house was sold. This is where my issue with Everdry comes in. On both occassions they call you relentlessly even though I told them that I would call if and when I needed them. Intially leaving messages but most times they do not. Sometimes these calls are before 8 am and most time 2-3 times a day.
Description of Work: Needed an estimate on some repairs to a corner of my basement.

Customer, I regret that our contact hours and determination on the phone upset you. With anywhere from 30-50 homeowners from all over southeastern Wisconsin juggling their schedules to match the schedules of our inspectors EACH DAY, it can get rather hairy trying to situate a time to contact home owners. Going forward, we will remove you from our calling list and will await your call to us if ever you find the need. My apologies, Matthew Flynn General Manager Everdry Waterproofing

We were extremely pleased with the entire process from the estimating, scheduling, workmanship, crew and followup. We were especially impressed with Brad and his crew. they were very professional and respectful of our home and property. As the crew worked they expalined and showed us what they discovered and what they would do to correct the situation. We had an old aging concrete wash tubs in the basement, they removed the old one and installed a new one that I purchased all at no extra charge. The crew laid down protective floor coverings at the begining of every day and removed it every evening and left the home and yard neat and orderly. Customer service followed up after the work was done and also about 30 days later to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Overall EverDry exceeded our expections in all areas and I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: The perimeter of the house was dug up by hand any cracks found were patched and the walls were sealed and the drainage system installed, the basement was dug up to replace all the old drain tiles and new system installed along with new dual sump pumps, one primary and one with battery backup incase of power failure. Also EZBreathe system installed.

We are completely satisified with all the work. The work crews were very professional and responsive to all questions and special requests. They followed through on all of our requests. It is clear that they are well trained. We had to be cautious about work being done along neighbor's drive and the supervisor and work crew handled the situation beyond our expectation. The project solved our basement water problems. Follow up is timely and responsive. All follow up is at no cost and is part of the company's guarrantee.
Description of Work: Trenched around outside of four walls and did repairs of cracks and installed outside drainage system. Replaced drain tile system around inside parimeter of basement. Installed sump pump and ventilation system. Returned on two occassions to provide further assistance: redid inside corner where stripping not completely covering corner and assisted with cleaning of basement drain. Did a quality inspection of work and returned to do added inspection at our request when we had parts of rec room plaster boards removed prior to refinishing the room.

They were not the lowest option, but i believe they performed the best service. The job was done in a timely manner. They were as clean as they could be, and were very respectful of my time and home. The best part is the lifetime warranty. It just sold my home.

From first day they started to the last day, which all work was done in 3 days everything was A1 as far as l was concerned.
Description of Work: They jack hammered perimeter of basement, installed new drain pipes. Installed new crock, with 2 special sub pumps. Installed aEas yBreathe, that will take out the allergens, and fungai, and makes it easier to breathe.Dug out around the house, installed new drainage pipes. Remounded the dirt when done. In the process, they happen to find 2new windows, which we were unaware we had. Previous owners had covered up.During whole process, even the jack hammering was very bearable. The crew went out of their way to make sure we had noissues with every step that they did.Every day they got here at certain time, and were done at certain time. They always gave you the times every day, and theywere always on time as they arranged with you.Every day, they made a point of cleaning up what they had worked on for the day. So there was no mess left.Their foreman, Andy, and his crew were very pleasant, and thourogh. We actually had fun with them. The real highlight for me was l could depend on them, as a widow, at no time did they make me feel inadequate, or they alwaysmade sure l understood every single thing they did. Even took some pictures for me of different steps they were doing. The price they had quoted me was the price l was going to be charged whether, or not they ran into other problems. Veryreassuring, and fortunately we had no other problems. They don't just finish their job,, and say goodbye, they come back to inspect their work. I can feel free to call any time l have a question. Most definetly, l would recommend their work, and their crews.

We were caught in their gonna-make-you-a-deal sales pitch, which they do quite well. They come into your home and are insistent that you have to act quickly to get the deal. This was our first major contractor project, and we really should have looked around. But we went ahead with it, and the first half went ok. They came in to do the work earlier than anticipated, which was fine, and did it quicker than anticipated (about 2 days, not 5 as estimated.) The aftermath was a little hard to swallow though... Aside from a few cleanliness issues and broken property, our basement sink was clogged from construction debris and the new sump pump was finicky for quite a while (an alarm kept going off.) Their call center support person was less than helpful (**Update, I'm told he was moved to a different part of the company, and that they are working on bettering their customer service.) but after a few calls, he begrudgingly came out to look at it. As problems continued, we ended up getting a family member to check out the sump pump and fix it for us. He said it was poorly installed (the main float would easily jam, causing the emergency float to trigger and constantly set off the alarm.) Looking back on the project, we are glad to have a useable basement, but we feel we should have gotten more for what we paid for. There was a lot of little things for us to do afterwards. Following construction was the usual cleaning off of dust on everything. (**Update, company says to keep costs down, they don't subcontract, or really do, this part.) Since they were working in a very unfinished basement, there was not outlet to plug the dehumidifier into. They left us with extension cords to keep it plugged in, that spanned the length of the basement. (**Update, two years later, in light of this review, the company offered to install two outlets at their expense to remedy the problem and improve customer service relations.) Come spring, we were left with massive mounds of raw dirt and chunks of sod exposed on three sides of the house. It would have been a nice and quot;above-and-beyondand quot; gesture to have left the area a little cleaner, and get rid of the sod. (** 6/19/2012: I have updated this review to reflect the company's sincere concern for the past mishaps. However, this is a review of past work, not just of the company in general.)

We had water coming in through a corner of our basement behind paneling. The first representative who came out quoted us because on the other main wall, we had large cracks which needed to be reinforced. He was very unprofessional, did not even look at the wall where we had water even though my husband removed some of the paneling and left a very bad taste from the company seeing as he quoted us $23,000.00. He used scare tactics saying that if we didn't do the walls now, there was a good chance that the foundation would be beyond reparable and told us we would have to excavate and remove our driveway for them to fix the problem. He was very pushy and dismissed any questions I asked. The company called after the first representative told us they wouldn't call back because they don't "need" our business and we set up a second appointment with a different rep. The second guy was much nicer, not as pushy and seemed more knowledgeable. He checked all of our walls and basically quoted us $5,000.00 less. The work which they proposed they needed to do was way more than we needed done and way to expensive. We since have had 5 companies in who quoted us $10,000 less for the same work and they were all much less pushy and more open to explanations and suggestions. Everydry seems like a company who feeds off of those who need a quick fix and they use scare tactics. Very bad experience and way overpriced.

They were very professional. They explained everything that they were doing. I had a couple visits before I agreed to do it and they always explained things very thoroughly. They did very great quality work and I am no longer worried about my basement.
Description of Work: I had a water problem so they waterproofed my basement. They replaced the drain tile and sump pump. They dig by hand on the outside around the foundation, so they don't rip up your whole yard. They dig up the plants that the need to and save them and then put them back.

EverDry has been to our home twice. The first time they were out to investigate my wife's home's basement problems was in 2003. The person that came out was very rude, and derisive. Their attempt at selling their "solution" was basically to make her fee like an uneducated child and then use scare tactics and elitism to try to bully her into having them fix her foundation. The salesperson was summarily ejected from her home. She called EverDry to complain and they sent a different person out to look at her home who was much more professional. She elected at that time (primarily due to the cost of the repair) to not follow through with it at that time. A few years later I arrived on the scene and EverDry began hitting us with telemarketing calls. Usually one or two a week. They were asked to stop calling, and finally did so after several requests and threats of legal action against them. In 2010 we decided to have them out again. This inspector/salesperson was fairly professional, but it was clear that they were first and foremost a salesperson. They tried several different tactics on us, mainly the high-pressure "if you act now we can do it for x-thousands less... but if you wait, the price goes up." Needless to say we declined their business. Once again, EverDry started up with the telemarking calls and had to be told to stop. We considered having them out this winter to see if they would be willing to wheel-and-deal over the winter months, but found that they wouldn't come out unless both my wife and I were present. My wife is a busy professional who has precious little spare time while I on the other hand have a more flexible schedule. For some reason, EverDry started an obnoxious battery of phone calls to "confirm" the appointment. They even called FIVE TIMES IN ONE DAY! I finally called them back the morning of the appointment to confirm and they cancelled it because I told them my wife wasn't able to be present. Now bear in mind, little has happened with our basement over the past year and my wife had already sat through their long boring sales presentation twice while I had sat through it once. Yet, for some reason they REQUIRE both homeowners to be present for their presentation. This is of course a very transparent sales tactic aimed at influencing one spouse and then ganging up on the other. Because of this ridiculous requirement (which no other contractor has made) along with their past history I told them that we would not be using their services now or ever and that they were to stop calling us. To say their calls over the past several years had been obnoxious would be a massive understatement. Still, several days after being told to stop calling, EverDry once again started up with their phone calls. As such we have reported them to several agencies including the state Department of Consumer Protection, The Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission. We have also had to have incoming calls from their phone number blocked because they have continued to harass us (yes, this qualifies as harassment at this point) after being told to STOP CALLING several times. If you're planning on having EverDry come out and take a look at your basement, be warned. They are obnoxious and persistent with their follow-up calling.

I called for estimate and Everdry came to my house. The salesperson spent over 1 1/2 hours giving me a sales pitch which included destroying drywall on my basement walls, taking pictures, giving an elaborate sales pitch with colored markers and generally being condescending. During the entire sales pitch the salesman refused to go outside and look at the exterior of the house and the grading. Despite the long sales pitch, the mobile printer and colored drawings the quote provided included only a price on a pre-printing brochure. For weeks after the sales pitch I received repeated phone calls from ever-dry asking for another appointment so that the manager could come out because "he had ideas on how to save you money". This company is one step below used car salesmen. Do not let them in your house.

The work he suggested was completely unnecessary. If somebody wanted to have their basement worked on, this would be a fine company to hire. It was unnecessary. He should have just listened to what I wanted- instead of trying to do unnecessary work.
Description of Work: The guy came and was very professional. My basement already had a flood. The repairs were made because of this. The technician from this company told me that it was the wrong kind of equipment. He told me that I needed to replace my basement with a new sump pump motor, tiles, etc. He said they would put drain tiles inside and out (instead of the two I had). He told me this would be $20,000.

They did a very good job and I am very pleased with them. They cleaned up after they finished the work. They were very professional. They took me through all the details telling me what was the work they were to do and how they were going to do it. If we had a question, we had somebody or the other answers them. They were always on time and finished the work much before the scheduled time. That’s how good they were. They were a little expansive. However, compared to the work they did it was comparatively cheaper. They noticed things which others did not.
Description of Work: They put in two sump pumps and dug outside the house. They retarred the walls, cut holes in the basement and put new drains. The house was not built right and we had problems because of this.

I was happy with the quality of work that was done. The only problem I had with them was that they dug up my neighbors yard and put rocks into her flowerbed after I had warned them. They also said they were going to dig around the whole perimeter, but they didn t and they based their price off this assumption. I asked for a discount but they didn t give me one. It said like the sales people said one thing but the workers did another.

THE EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN FRUSTRATING, AND DISCOURAGING TO SAY THE LEAST!
Description of Work: EVERDRY WATERPROOFING, DID NOT SOLVE THE WATER PROBLEM IN MY BASEMENT! THEY DUG TRENCHES IN THE BASEMENT, INSTALLING DRAIN TILE LEADING TO A SUMP PUMP. THE SUMP PUMP HAS NEVER HAD ANY WATER IN IT EVEN THOUGH I CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE WATER ON THE FLOOR. AN E-Z BREATHE DEHUMIDIFIER WAS INSTALLED AND PROVED TO BE INEFFECTIVE. I HAD BEEN TOLD BY EVERDRY I WOULDN'T NEED THE FLOOR MODEL I OWNED SO I GAVE IT TO A FRIEND. A BROCHURE CLAIMED THE E-Z BREATHE WORKED LIKE 7 REGULAR DEHUMIDIFIERS AT A FRACTION OF THE COST. WHEN I CALLED TO SAY MY BASEMENT WAS EXTREMELY HUMID THEY TOLD ME TO RUN A DEHUMIDIFIER! TRENCHES WERE DUG AROUND THE HOUSE IN THE AREAS THAT WERE EASY TO ACCESS. THEY BROKE THE CONCRETE WINDOW WELLS, DAMAGED MY FLAGSTONE PATIO, GOT TAR ON THE SIDING, DID NOT CAULK THE WINDOWS, DAMAGED, CUSTOM MADE SHELVING, AND BROKE THE BASEBOARD IN THE FINISHED BASEMENT. THEY WERE SLOW TO RESPOND TO MY CONCERNS. THEY CLAIM THEIR SYSTEM WORKS, BUT IT CERTAINLY DID NOT WORK FOR ME.

THE PERSON TOLD US WE HAD DRY ROT, MOLD AND SEVERE WATER PROBLEMS AND IF WE DID NOT FIX THEM THEY WOULD CAUSE MAJOR DAMAGE IN THE FUTURE. SHE SAID SHE COULD SEE THIS WAS A LONG TERM PROBLEM AND WE SHOULD SUE PREVIOUS OWNERS. I CALLED AN INSPECTOR, HE DOES NOT DO THE WORK JUST GIVES OPINIONS, TO CHECK THE BASEMENT BEFORE HAVING WORK DONE. HE TOLD ME ALMOST THE OPPOSITE. HE SAID THE WATER COULD BE DUE TO EXCESSIVELY WET SPRING AND FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF LONG TERM PROBLEMS. HE FOUND NO DRY ROT AND SAID THE SMALL AMOUNT OF MOLD COULD BE DUE TO DAMPNESS. HE RECOMMEND JUST HAVING 1 SMALL SLAB ON DRIVEWAY FIXED (ABOUT $300 JOB). TOO HIGH PRESSURE AND USES SCARE TACTICS. THEY TOLD ME MY BASEMENT WAS NEAR COLLAPSE WHEN THIS WAS FAR FROM THE TRUTH.

WE ENGAGED AN INDEPENDENT FOUNDATION and BASEMENT CONSULTANT (WHO HAD NOTHING TO SELL BUT HIS EXPERIENCE AND GOOD REPUTATION). AT THE END OF 2 HOURS WE HAD A VERY THROUGH ANALYSIS AND CONCLUSION THAT THERE WAS NOTHING (REPEAT, NOTHING) REQUIRED TO BE DONE, EXCEPT TO REMOVE THE EFFLORESCENCE THAT WAS ON THE WALLS, IMPROVE SOME GRADING IN AREAS WHERE THERE WAS CURRENTLY NO EVIDENCE OF WATER PROBLEMS, AND PERHAPS SOME MOLD REMEDIATION FROM A PREVIOUS LEAK IN THE FIRST FLOOR LAUNDRY ROOM. THE CONSULTANT REMARKED HE HAS BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THE PRESIDENT OF EVERDRY SEVERAL TIMES TO ADVISE HIM HE IS SELLING WORK THAT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE DONE, APPARENTLY TO NO AVAIL. IN SUMMARY, EVERDRY HAS ACTED IN AN UNETHICAL MANNER AND WOULD HAVE SOLD US $13,125 WORTH OF WORK THAT DID NOT HAVE TO BE DONE, IF WE HAD SIGNED ON. I PLAN NOW TO CONTACT THE PRESIDENT OF EVERDRY, THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND STATE AUTHORITIES REGULATING FRAUD.
Description of Work: WE CALLED EVERDRY TO COME OUT AND GIVE AN EVALUATION OF WHAT WE COULD DO TO TAKE CARE OF DAMP BASEMENT PROBLEMS. MOST OF WHAT WE THOUGHT WERE THE CAUSES HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY FIXED, BUT WE WANTED TO BE SURE IF ANYTHING MORE NEEDED TO BE DONE. THE EVERDRY REP SPENT ALMOST 2 HOURS WITH US AND PAINTED A PICTURE OF MUCH WORK THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, INCLUDING DIGGING DOWN AND REPLACING EXTERIOR DRAIN TILES AS WELL AS CUTTING THROUGH THE FLOOR AND REPLACING THE INTERIOR DRAIN TILES. THE REP IMPLIED WE HAD A MAJOR IRON PROBLEM CLOGGING THE DRAIN TILES, ETC, ETC., ETC. WHEN ASKED FOR AN APPROXIMATE COST, WE WERE GIVEN $13,000. WHEN THE REP WENT OUT AND MEASURED (A VERY SHORT TIME), HE CAME BACK WITH $13,125, BUT WOULD BE DISCOUNTED TO $11,500 IF WE WOULD ALLOW THEM TO DO THE WORK AR THEIR CONVENIENCE.
