Everything went as planned. They put down plastic from doorway to the bottom of the basement stairs so not to track in dirt and mud. Everydry also kept the piles of rock and dirt and replaced all the piles once everything was back in place. They carried rock and dirt away in buckets leaving no mess. All the workers were polite and courteous.
Description of Work: They put drain tile along the inside perimeter of the basement and tarred the outside perimeter at 6 feet from top of basement wall. They also fixed and re-cemented my drain in the basement and fixed a cracked lateral on the outside of my house. They added a French drain and a sump pump that has worked great thus far.

They dug all around the house about 2 feet deep. They glued a plastic sheeting to the foundation at just below ground level and sloped it away from the house so that any water running down the sides of the house would be forced out away from the foundation. On the inside of the basement they broke out the concrete floor and installed all new drain tile around the perimeter, and a new sump and pump to drain away any water. Also, on the inside of the basement walls they installed white sheeting to cover the walls and the sheeting runs down into the drain tile trench so that any water that may get through the walls would not get on the floor but go down the drain tile to the sump. They came in with 5 guys and did the entire job in less than 2 days. The system has been working as designed and promised for 10 years!

Job was preformed to expectations. Everything was complete within given time frame, except a small portion that required a city inspector to approve before it was filled 2 days later after intial job. The remaining concrete fill over palmer valve was not done within given time that day and pushed back several hours as the service-call employee was the person who did this remaining part. All other parts of our job went smoothly and were preformed well. The foreman was courteous and took the time to explain everything to us. The crew was good, but they did leave several cigarette butts on our lawn the first day, but after we addressed this with the foreman, it did not happen again. Overall good work and good experience with this company. Everything has been working well and no leaks in the month we have had the system.

I’ve been a customer of EVERDRY Waterproofing for years and years. They originally repaired our foundation wall and it is still performing just as they promised. My basement is dry!!! Anytime I’ve needed them to check on my sump pump, they were there for me. They are always courteous, kind and prompt. I would recommend them to anyone. Eugene Albert

There were some scheduling hiccups, it seems they were having some personnel issues at the time, so our appointment got moved back a few times and they arrived before the final scheduled appointment date (which was nice) without much warning (they called when they were on the way), but once they arrived the work was done quickly, they cleaned up well and I have no complaints about their handiwork. This was completely covered by their warranty, so there was no cost to us.
Description of Work: The basement had already been repaired by Everdry when we purchased the home, so I can't comment on that work, but the home inspector we hired found some signs of additional repair/updating to the work would be required. The warranty on the basement was still valid ($49 a year to keep the warranty) so we contacted them to add some additional reinforcement bars (vertical) along the basement wall, additional reinforcement between the non load bearing studs (horizontal) to bring it back up to code (the work was done before the code was updated, not neglect by the company) and to fill in some foundation cracks between the bricks.

We had basement waterproofing done years ago by Everdry Waterproofing, and also a sump pump installed. They did a wonderful job, and even put the tulip bulbs around the foundation back in place when they were done. Their service on our sump pump over the years has also been great, and we would recommend them to anyone. We have never had to worry about water in our basement, even in heavy rains.

There is a peace of mind when you go with a bigger and established company like Everdry -- they ensure it is done right, and they were hassle-free when they came back to follow-up on their work and to ensure everything set properly. It has been a year since we had the work done and it has eliminated all water and mold issues along with cracking. With the beams, it definitely added a lot of cost, but was necessary. $24K is a lot of money to invest for a fix for your basement and foundation, but when it has to be done... and when you what it done right from a well-organized and expert team, I would definitely consider Everdry because of their reputation of high-quality results.
Description of Work: Basement and foundation repair consisting of the following: replaced drain tiles (french drain) that were deteriorating clay piping, new sump pump, hand-shoveled down to cracks on exterior and fixed them (to include a huge foundation crack in the corner) along with putting rubber barrier and drainage system along exterior, and put steal beams to support one wall.

07/11/16: We were highly pleased with EverDry performance in July of 2013. The project covered an impressive volume of work over 3 days , excavating the full perimeter of our basement both inside and out while replacing drainage tiles, relocating a sump pump, installing a humidifier unit and filling with stone and fresh concrete, Our basement and yard was left completely in order at the end of the job and the basement has been dry and water tight since, We were so pleased with the work that we recommended EverDry to my parents who had suffered significant drainage into their basement for years and had been frustrated in efforts to correct the problem up to that point. EverDry performed the same work for them that autumn with outstanding results. The leakage was completely reversed and their basement has been bone dry since then. My wife and I consider the $20K spent on the work to be money very well invested, We have peace of mind as regards water trouble currently while the annual insurance policy we maintain with EverDry for a nominal fee will make it much easier for our children to market the house some day after our passing. They came in, as expected, and began their work. They were very focused and were careful to keep me in the loop the whole time the work was going on. The site supervisor was very conscientious and wanted to make sure I was satisfied with everything--until the last day when they were finishing up. Things took a sudden turn for the worse. He was receiving a lot of pressure from his bosses to finish up because they had another job to start--so all of a sudden I was not a priority for the company, which was very evident. Although they stressed from the beginning that they could not guarantee that the outside landscaping would be able to be returned to its original state, I was shocked when I saw what they had done to the west side of the house. I could see no reason it should have looked so bad. It was just dirt and rocks, so there was nothing complicated about returning it to its original state. It was awful, and when I pointed it out and expressed my concern, I was reminded of the "no guarantee" and that they really needed to move on. I will need to have a landscaper fix this mess because I can't do it myself. I also ended up having to throw out the basement carpeting. It was soaked and filthy. There was no way it could be salvaged. The rest of the basement was tiled, and that is also now ruined. I just was not prepared for all of this, and in the end, the cost will end up being much more than the original $20,000. In all honesty, the basement Is dryer, so l will not fault them for that. However, there are other things to consider. Did they do a decent job of preparing me for what was going to take place? Not at all. Did they make sure the job was done to the satisfaction of the homeowner? Not at all. If I had it to do over again, would I do it again? Probably not unless water was pouring into my basement. i don't like leaving these kind of reviews, but this experience ended up being a major headache for me and still is because most of the mess will be there until I can afford to get things replaced.
Description of Work: The exterior walls of the basement along with the ground surrounding he basement were dug up so that everything could be sealed and waterproofed.

[Member Name Removed], Ugh!!! I absolutely HATE reading this! And I'm sorry it took so long for me to see this. That said, I am seeing it now. The review started out so well and to have the feeling that we rushed is a colossal disappointment to me. We pride ourselves on taking the time to explain everything we do as well as make sure that the homeowner is a raving fan at the end of the work. Since we were out, has there been any issues? Have you getting your landscaping back in order? I will be looking up your file and calling you to see if there is anything else we can do to help out and leave a better taste in your mouth. Again, my apologies and hope all we did resulted in a safe, healthy, dry basement. Yours, Matthew Flynn General Manager Everdry Waterproofing **I just looked at your file. I have a "Service Completion" form I am looking at right now. It appears that we did come out to work on your landscaping dated 10/24/16. Your life-time warranty covers all waterproofing and I am extremely confident that that has been done correctly. Please let me know if there are any issues with the waterproofing.

We're very pleased with their work. They were prompt, professional, neat. This was a really great experience. The work was done 17 years ago and we have never had any problems. Over that time, we have saved money by avoiding flood and water damage. Even during the flooding of 2010, our neighbors were hit hard, but our basement stayed dry. Well worth the price!

The crew arrived early and got right to work. We had the basement all cleaned out and the things that were to stay were all put in the middle of each room. First thing they did was wrap the things we had in the middle with plastic. There was a crew on the inside and outside of the house. Everyone was polite and worked fast and effeciently. The basement looks great. The crew cleaned everything up and hauled it away. My plants were replanted. When I checked that part of the job I did not like how they were planted and they had me stay there and direct where all the plants should go. One of the plants died and the job supervisor paid me on the spot the cost of a new plant. We have not had any water in the basement since.
Description of Work: The outside crew dug out and moved all my plants to a shady area. They then dug along side the basement walls about 8 ft down and painted a waterproof material on the walls. They put stone on the bottom of the hole and then put black corrigated tubing (with holes) on top of the stones. A hole was drilled into the basement wall for the inside tubing to expel the water to the new subpump. On the inside a trench was dug 10-12" wide along the walls and about a foot deep. Just like on the outside, stones were put down and a black corrigated tubing was placed for the water to drain into the subpump. Concrete was put over the hole. One part of the basement has fieldstone and besides the above tubing a white plastic sheeting was placed on the fieldstone walls, so if water came threw the stone it would drain into the trench. The new subpump has a battery backup. A clean air exchanger was also installed. Everdry obtained all necessary permits and were on site when the city inspecter came.

We had an appointment scheduled for 2pm 45 miles away for a basement evaluation. Andy from Everdry told me he would charge me $100.00 for the "free" estimate. At 1:45pm we got a call saying their basement guy would be an hour late. We had already driven 30 miles toward the home and were meeting the Realtors. While waiting with the Realtors at the home we got a call at 2:30 pm from Everdry's Tyler saying he was still in Kenosha and would be an additional hour late. One of the Realtors left because Everdry was so late. This caused tension between myself and one of the Realtors. I called Andy to complain about lack of Professionalism but he said he said that it was fair and that the $100.00 charge would not be refunded. They should have called us that morning to let us know their guy was going to be very late so we could have notified the Realtors.
Description of Work: Andy from Everdry charged me $ 100.00 for an estimate that is FREE according to their website. We had an appointment for 2pm. Their employee Andy was an hour and a half late. When I called to complain, Andy from Everdry said they knew that morning there was a problem. One of their guys was not going to make the appointment but we did not get any notice until we had driven 30 miles and it was already 1:45pm. They should have called us that morning to let us know their guy was going to be very late. Refused to refund $100.00 charge.

[Member Name Removed], So sorry to hear you didn't get the kind of warning that our inspectors are coming from all over southeastern Wisconsin and could be late. That we called several times to update you on where we were does not sound like it was good enough. My apologies on that. As for the $100, clearly that isn't free. You see, our free inspection is for those that have both owners present. I believe you were resistant to that one condition. If we cannot actually EARN business with our free inspection, we ask that the inspector be paid $100. This is solely to pay the inspector and not the company. I understand that unforeseen delays happen. I hope you will accept my apologies for these delays inconveniencing you. Yours, Matthew Flynn General Manager Everdry Waterproofing

The crew installed a system both inside along the base of the walls and outside along the house to prevent water from getting into the house. They also installed a sump pump, filled in current cracks along the basement and caulked around the sidewalk. The crew worked very quickly and efficiently. Even in a torrential down pour, they kept at it so they could finish in a timely fashion. We were impressed how quickly they managed to dig all the way around the house, both on the outside and on the inside basement area. They appear to have great team work and were very professional. They finished everything in just two days. We have had no water leakage since the work. Our only complaint is how dirty our basement was (and still is despite some cleaning efforts) after all of their digging. They did hose off the floor when they were finished, but the layer of dirt was still there. The cost is also high, but given how quickly & efficiently the work was completed and how labor intensive it is, it is not surprising that it was that expensive.
Description of Work: We had minor leakage in one of our basement corners and since we have a 1921 bungalow with no sump pump and desired to finish off our basement we decided to go for the investment of preventing further leakage in our basement.

They put up a plastic sheet over the basement door to minimize the dust upstairs. After each day they cleaned up there mess before they left and explained what was to be done each day. The crew was very professional when they here. I am very satisfied with the work they done. The spring before we had flooding in the basement. Ever since Everdry Waterproofing fixed the problem we only had flooding issues once and that's because the power went out for 11 hours during a rain storm. I would recommend Everdry Waterproofing to everyone.
Description of Work: Everdry Waterproofing came on a Monday, dug around the foundation and laid drain tile around the edge of the basement walls. In the back corner they installed a sump pump. They also went around the outside of the house laying drain tile 2 feet below ground level. They had this all done in three days.

100% A+ basement contractor. On time very professional, courteous, helpful. Excellent foreman and crew that was obvious they were very knowledgeable about their trade. Foreman went out of his way to make sure my wife and I understood each step they were taking and the reason for it. Awesome clean up! I would highly recommend this basement waterproofing company to any homeowners dealing with water seepage or foundation repair needs. Our basement has been dry since they completed the work 14 years ago. Another benefit we have noticed is a huge reduction in mold on the walls making our basement usable and healthier for our children to play downstairs. Thank You Everdry

That said, thank you for letting others know. It is something hear quite often: people purchase homes with our warranty as they know they'll have Everdry backing them up if they ever need it. Everdry started on a early Monday morning and complete the job on Wednesday late afternoon. Their crew was punctual, hardworking, and easy to work\communicate with as needed. They were as clean as they could under the circumstances of rainy mud weather and handling cement. They right away setup the house to prevent a lot of cleanup which was "thumbs up" for me as I am a neat freak. Overall, it was a very successful job.

I must say, you, your wife, and I sure explored this job in detail and I am extremely happy you decided to go with us. It is customers like you who search all information out that are a real feather in our cap. You decided on the longevity and safety of our fix over a stop-gap procedure that wouldn't address all of the needs of your home. Appears to have fixed my issue. Took a couple short cuts, that may have shortened the job for them but all seems to be working. The lifetime satisfaction was key, but probably paid up for that. They were very responsive to my questions and concerns. I had a very wet situation which they worked through which a previously hired plumber was unable to get accomplished. Seemed very capable and knowledgeable, I would give them a B+/A- but not an A simply because the price, and they required me to install a second crock which I didn't believe was necessary, but I did it so I could get the lifetime warranty. they cared for the property.

Thank you for taking the time to review our work with you, [Member Name Removed]. I can assure you that above 150' of lineal drain tile, you do, in fact, NEED a second sump pump crock. All of the drain tile is pitched to drain water to the crocks. The pitch has to steep enough to get that water all the way around your house. It is common practice now for builders to put in that second crock. That is a long ways to travel for that water to actually get to the crock and not onto your floor. That said, a large basement like your own with the need for excavation...the cost is commiserate with what we have completed. And yes, most home owners speak of the peace of mind our life time service agreement gives them. I'm glad we have you as part of the Everdry Family and call us with any concerns. I am a longtime customer of Everdry having had the basement done 12 years ago. The work Everdry did was fine. I did not have a serious water problem, it was only the moisture seeping through the concrete block due to poor drainage, but I have not seen any evidence of seeping over the years in the area they dug out. This includes the bizarre flooding we had in Whitefish Bay several years ago when we had no water issues at all. My only complaint is that I need to pay a "Service Agreement" fee every year to keep my warranty valid. Apparently the annual fee has gone up over the years but for me it is $25 which means I am at $300.00 now. That doesn't seem like enough money to compensate Everdry in the event that something had gone wrong so it really just amounts to an annoyance for me. I think a lifetime warranty should be a lifetime warranty and it should not cost the consumer anything if poor workmanship is the cause of the claim. If the issue is that materials, like sealants, will always break down over time then maybe it should not be a lifetime warranty or should be covered free. Recently I noticed that one corner of the basement has some chalky loose mortar. This corner was not dug out by Everdry because there was a bush, driveway, and concreate steps there. The bush can go of course. I will have Everdry come back in the summer to have a look at this. I wonder how much that corner will cost. Tom

Everything went well as planned, after services were performed I had found some leveling issues. Which they addressed instantly and had repairs completed. Also they offered a free ever dry air circulation fan in the basement also.
