We have an annual maintenance agreement with Cardinal. From what we can tell, they are able to give us the best price for the services. He was a quiet guy but he was courteous and professional. They are coming back in December to do the check again.

They were excellent. I rate them high overall. The work they did was on a weekend, and it was pre planned. They had to do a lot of things in a short period of time. They were here for about 8 hours and they finished the work. We have had them do some other repairs as well. They are very professional.

I decided on Friday to do the furnace replacement. Two hours later, Craig was out to take detailed measurements. They had the furnace installed on Tuesday, during a snow and ice storm. They were very respectful and explained everything they had done.

It all went very smoothly. We knew that the furnace and water heater would have to be replaced when we bought our house. Initially we were considering a solar thermal hot water system as well (which turned out to be too pricey), and Cardinal was one of the firms recommended by the energy consultant in that regard as well as HVAC. Prior to quoting on the job they came out and reviewed our situation and discussed options with us. Following our acceptance of their quote they came out again and did some detailed measurements so they could prefab the sheet metal necessary to tie into our duct system and AC. They did a very professional job with the furnace installation, and their plumber sub did likewise on the water heater. The entire process took less than a day. We haven't had the heat up and running yet, but the AC (existing, new in 2006) which was tied into the new furnace and electronic controller works fine.

Company's been around 23 years. Been installing Goodmans for 8, Bryants nearly the entire time they've been in business. He is NATE certified, but the only one. It would take 2-3 guys one day to install the furnace. Company had a staff of 9. His dad started the company. Offered a 6 month, no payment, no interest option in order to wait for the incentive checks to arrive. Company was professional, but appeared less experienced (in the middle of the pack of the six bids we solicited). Very punctual. I appreciated his honesty about our AC unit rather than try to pressure us to buy a package.
