The employee that came to our house was very nice. He took the time to listen to my concerns, and he even found a problem with the evaporator coil that a previous company had missed. We are very happy with the results. It ended up to be an easy fix, and he didn't try to sell us anything that we didn't need.

I called for an estimate and that happened fairly quickly. The first two appointments that I had to have to the work done were cancelled and rescheduled by Nimmer because they had more urgent cases to do. The woman I spoke to was apologetic and said they would give me a coupon for a free furnace tune up that to make up for the inconvenience . I never did get the coupon. I told the estimator that I was not going to finish the ceiling. They workmen did not attach the vents and left me a note to call when the ceiling was finished. It took more than one call to get them to come back and put on the vents. I then discovered that the levers that open and close the vents were almost impossible to move. It took several more phone calls to get them to come out and fix that. This should of been a simple one day job

I called Nimmer for service on old Bryant Air Conditioner. They got the old one working but warned it was 25 years old and needed replacement. I ordered a new model, they installed it and now we have working central air again.

We have used them in the past and have always been pleased with them.

Our house A/C was coming on, but blowing warm air. We called Nimmer (selected from Angie's List) because they did the maintenance on our furnace. Nimmer scheduled an appointment surprisingly soon after we called. Unfortunately, they determined we needed a new unit. We researched prices for new A/C units appropriate to our house and found that their prices were competitive, even a little cheaper. The most impressive part of our experience with this company was how they worked with our schedules and arrived when they said they would arrive. They knew that a heat wave was coming soon and worked with us to get person to our house to install a new unit as soon as possible. After this experience, we will not call anyone else in regards to our A/C or furnace.

Mark Nimmer responded quickly to our call for an estimate to replace the old furnace. When he came to our home, Mark checked out the old furnace and duct work and then presented us with 3 possible replacement options. He explained the features of each and left brochures for my husband and me to discuss before we made our decision. Once we made our decision, the installers (Tyler and David) arrived at the scheduled time and spent 5 hours removing the old equipment and installing the new. Tyler thoroughly explained the workings of the new furnace and thermostat and encouraged us to practice changing settings so we could ask questions of him as we did so. We are very pleased with the service we received from Nimmer Heating and will recommend them to friends and neighbors who are in the market for a new furnace.

They did a great job. They were professional, came when they said they would, and everything was neat. I would recommend them to others.

Mark Nimmer is truly a professional. He arrived when he said he would, the work was done professionally and cleanly. Any questions we had were fully answered and we have had very little issue with our installed furnace in the 5 years we've had it. I would definitely recommend Nimmer.

My furnace was shutting itself off intermittently all weekend. Called Monday morning, got an appointment for the same day. The technician was running late so the office called and let me know it would be another hour or so. Really appreciated the communication. The technician was very professional, diagnosed the problem, and got the furnace back up and running in less than an hour. Very happy.

The guy's name was Brian. They were fantastic. I couldn't say enough good things about them. They were very efficient. They took the old furnace and that apart and they had a guy outside taking the parts. It never touched my ground. There was a gentleman there. They took them out the door and they put them on his truck and he went away, so there was no dirt. That was wonderful. They were excellent overall. It was a little more expensive but it was worth it. We did three estimates and one was horrible. The guy was obnoxious. I didn't like him at all. Nimmers were just wonderful. We have had them when we had trouble with the air-conditioning before and the furnace. We called them because we bought the house with all the stuff in it already because it was his grandmother's. They would come out whenever. We have had them here on holidays when the air-conditioning went off. Since my husband works in a foundry, he has to be cool, I don't care what day of the week. We would pay a little more but it was worth it. If people are trying to compare about cheaper ones, there are cheaper ones out there but you wouldn't want cheaper in your house. This is going to last you the rest of your life. I think it's guaranteed for twenty years or something. It's guaranteed for a long time. Their quality of work is excellent. Their responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism are excellent. I will continue to use them if I need them in the future. They are right out there on my refrigerator. I have their number there in case.

This company was a pleasure to work with. Everyone was friendly and they worked with me to help me get the most for my money. I needed a furnace inspection and wanted someone to look at my air ducts, which did not appear to be attached properly. The inspection is a flat fee so they suggested we use that fee and if the visit required more than an hour, I would be charged for the additional time. The inspector was very prompt and was able to not only get the work done within the hour, which saved me money, he was very friendly and helpful and gave me several tips for improving the heating in my house to save money.

My experience with them was good. They seemed to be very upfront about things. They were timely; they arrived on time and finished in the amount of time that they said they would finish. I thought that they did a good job. I used somebody else earlier in the year and I wasn’t very happy with them. They came to service both the furnaces. They were expensive and they really tried to push me to get rid of one of the furnaces. So compared with them I would say that their price was good. I only priced a couple of places and their price was the most reasonable.

Our city had a major flooding issue and I had flooding in my basement and I was concerned about turning back on my furnace after the flooding. I was impressed because the person who came out looked rather young but he showed me everything that was going on and showed me what he had done. I had questions on the functionality of my furnace and he gave me information. I asked him about the life expectancy of my furnace and he told me that it looked good. I had thought that it would cost a lot more for the service call but the price was reasonable.

They are local and I have been using them for a while. They removed the old furnace and it was on its last leg. It was not coming on and if it came on there was an hour’s delay before the heat would start kicking in. They took out the old furnace and they installed a new furnace and they upgraded my efficiency level. I got one size bigger than what my old furnace was. When I had the initial guy come and see what was wrong with the furnace he was not answering my questions or if he did it was all wrong. I thought it was weird and I called Nimmer to complain about it and they sent their head of company to come and inspect it. They suggested that I get a new one and he didn’t have the right tools. He suggested that I take one size bigger because of the trouble I went through and because the tax deadline was coming up for the tax credit. He said if I had the current level then I would not receive any tax benefit but if I upped the level then I would. He upgraded it for me at no extra cost. He gave me good service. I use them to periodically inspect the heating and air conditioning. They are top notch people and they explain what they are doing. If I have questions they are always happy to answer them. They are very personable. It was a great price because I was expecting a less efficient furnace. I have been using them for 7 years now and I would continue to use them.

He did a thorough inspection of our heating system. He seemed to really know his stuff.

Nimmer is excellent. The staff are honest, prompt, professional, and effective. In 2009, Nimmer identified a latest-technology furnace that would fit in our (small) utility closet -- whereas another vendor said there was nothing suitable except older-generation equipment. Nimmer installed the furnace at a very attractive price. Since then, the furnace has delivered as promised, and the Nimmer staff have been responsive to my questions and routine maintenance needs. Strongly recommended.

In the midst of a major heat wave, my AC went out. I called NImmer because of reports here on Angies list. I called and left message before 8am. Nimmer returned my call around 10. She was very professional and honest about the fact that service calls were running behind due to the heat wave and many units having trouble. She told me she would be able to call me after 12 and give me more of an indication if they could come out that day. I thought that was respectful, but also probably helps them to know if the people who called them also had calls in --which may have been answered---by other companies. She did call back around noon and said things were behind more than they anticipated. I told her I was going to go home from work so I would be there if there was an opportunity for service. She said she would call me after 2. She called then and explained that there was a service man in my area who could come over soon---however, depending on what the problem was, he may not be able to fix it until the next day because he had an appointment to be at which was scheduled already for 4. Again, honest and fair. It is amazing how much giving someone a little information helps anxiety! The technician came and checked out my very old AC unit. He told me it was very old and it was probably time for a new one but he would check. Honestly, I was expecting this would be the time an AC company could sell new units. Then he found that two fuses had pretty much exploded. I didn't even realize that was a fuse box next to my AC----so he could have told me anything. He had the fuses in the truck and replaced them. It was a small repair at a low cost. I will get a new AC and I will contract with Nimmer for it and any other AC or other service they do because of their honesty and approach to business. I imagine many companies would not have told me about the fuses and would have been successful in selling me a new AC unit. Nimmer was successful too----but in an honest way.

Working with Nimmer has been a good experience. They installed our dual zone heating system so that we weren't 'stealing' heat from our 1st floor living space and can control the temperatures separately. Their quote was competitive and they explained everything clearly, the work was done in a timely manner and so far so good (work was done early in 2010). This included running plenty of new duct work as well as sealing off the upstairs ducts that were previously used to heat the basement. The A/C tune-up went as expected, haven't had any problems there.

He was really nice and professional. He was very informative. I understood what was going on. He did a pretty quick job. If there is a need, I would use them again in the future too.

When I called I was told I'd have to wait about 3 weeks as they were scheduling the people with problems first. When they did come, they found a leak, stopped it, and waited until the AC was blowing really cold air before they left. It runs excellent now.

My central air conditioning went out on a hot and humid Sunday night in July. Based on heating/air-conditioning contractor reviews from Angie’s List, I called Nimmer at 7:15 AM the next morning. I thought I’d be leaving a voicemail. However, John answered the phone. I explained my problem and he said that there was a long list of people ahead of me, but he’d call me back and get me on the schedule. I thought about calling another company in the event I’d be at the bottom of the schedule. However, before I could get that far, I had another call from John explaining that he could send someone out between 9 and 10 AM. It turned out to be a broken relay and low coolant. Both were repaired promptly. I was quite satisfied with the experience and plan to call them in the fall for my furnace check.

THE FIRST TIME I SPOKE TO MARK ON THE PHONE HE WAS HELPFUL. I THEN MADE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO GO INTO HIS OFFICE. HE FIT ME INTO HIS SCHEDULE QUICKLY. HE HELPED ME UNDERSTAND MY EQUIPMENT AND ANSWERED A WHOLE LIST OF QUESTIONS I HAD FOR HIM. HE WAS A FANTASTIC SOURCE OF INFORMATION WHEN I NEEDED ONE. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE MARK AGAIN !

Nimmer Heating completely reinstalled the boiler, updated the controls and replaced the faulty parts. The cost of $1600 may seem high but the new Buderus control panel is an expensive part but well worth it. Mark Nimmer said we would realize heating saving with the new control and he was right. Our gas bills bill are now 15 to 20 % less and the whole house is so much more comfortable. Numerous other parts were included in the work. We now have a correctly installed boiler with excellent supporting controls. Everything about this company is outstanding, this is an honest company with technicians that are on time, polite, neat, and knowledgable. The workmanship is excellent, they do a neat and professional job and do not cut corners. They were outstanding! They were here on time. They got the job done right the first time. They were excellent!

They came out very quickly. They installed the furnace after our basement flooded. It flooded with sewage. They were very clean. They were very careful when they were taking the old furnace apart not to drop sewage all over the place. They took some extra time while doing that, and I appreciated that. We were very pleased with them.
