Max Care Hardwood Flooring

Tina provided us with an estimate to refinish the hardwood floors in several rooms and a set of stairs. She was friendly and professional, but was the highest estimate we received so we used another company.

After getting several quotes, I decided to go with MaxCare located on Miller Parkway. I was impressed with Tina who was my initial contact for the quote. I felt she offered the best price for using the dustless system. Also, I had three recommendations from people who had used them as well. I was kept informed by phone by Rachael and Crystal as to the approximate time of all arrivals. I can say with great certainty that everyone who worked on our floor (Beto, Will and Joe) did so with professionalism and in a mannerly fashion. My floors turned out beautiful and makes my house look brand new. Without hesitation I would recommend them.

I called Max Care to get a quote to refinish the hardwood floors on my 2nd floor, because the previous owner had used them to refinish the 1st floor and they looked great. I closed on the house April 26 and was scheduled to move into the house May 25. I hoped to have the floors done before moving in, so I should have gotten a quote well before closing but I'm a procrastinator so I didn't call until a few weeks before my move-in date. They informed me that their normal lead time is about a month, but they were super helpful and squeezed me in on a weekend to get it before my move in date, only requesting that I pay the technicians the 50% deposit in cash because they normally don't work weekends and this was their incentive. The company was very helpful and responsive in setting up the work, and the technicians were on time (a little early actually) and extremely courteous and professional. My boyriend and I ripped out the carpet and all the staples/nails ourselves because we wanted to save the money, but Max Care's price to remove/haul away seemed very reasonable if you have a lot of sq footage. There was a heavy layer of black goo stuck to the floors in the hallway and some in a bedroom after removing the carpet. I called Max Care to see how much extra they'd charge to remove. They looked at photos I sent and quoted me a price per sq foot to remove. On the day of the refinishing, I found out they were only going to charge for the sq footage in the hallway because the bedroom didn't have a very heavy layer so I was very happy. My only complaint is that they only take cash, not even checks. I would recommend!

It didn't. I called for the appointment and had to wait two weeks for an appointment at four in the afternoon. An emergency came up and I called the morning of the appointment to reschedule and they stated they no longer do late afternoon of evening appointments. They requested that I take a day off or go into work late for the appointment. I start at 7 in the morning and they do not have appointments until later in the morning. I will not be using their services since they can not work their hours around the customers availability.

Our experience with Max Care was excellent. We were moving to a new home and on a tight schedule trying to get the floor refinished between the time of closing and our move in date. MC was very accommodating in scheduling the visit for the quotation and and the actual work within our timeframe. We were given a set price, which was one of the lowest of the 6+ flooring companies that we contacted. Our project was to take two days (basically, one day of sanding/staining and one day for the application of top coat). On both days, MC reps showed up exactly when they said they would. Work was performed quickly and professionally. When the originally proposed stain color looked like it wouldn't be an exact match to existing wood in an adjoining room, additional MC reps showed up to provide another type of stain and were very patient with lots of questions and helpful in making the final stain color decision (first time home owner/no knowledge of hard wood floor restoration process). The finished product looks great and has held up well so far. We definitely intend to use MC in the future and would highly recommend their services.

Service was great. Professionalism hit the mark. Dust was not a problem - much better than we had anticipated. Best part was that the color options for stain were presented to us on actual wood before actually staining our stairs. Final results were amazing. Would definitely recommend Max Care. Would definitely use them in the future.

They were fair but expensive. He wanted to do the whole house, and wouldn't take a minimum of less than $500. It was nice that he came and gave us an estimate, but it seemed kind of like he was upselling us.

I had the work done when I was gone so I was a little nervous but the floors looked great when I returned. There was no dust as promised. I wish I had done this years ago. They were very careful and there is no stain on any wood along the floor.

We moved all of our furniture out of the rooms to be sanded. They offered to do the job in two phases to make the furniture placement issue easier, but we decided to do it all at once. They had a discount for not needing to do a double visit. The two floor finishers came on time on the date we scheduled`. They were extremely polite and efficient at their jobs. They had the carpet out, the floor sanded and stained within a few hours. The sanding was spectacularly done. The Maxcare floor guys really know what they're doing. The sanded floor was smooth as silk with absolutely no rippling. They took special care to try and carefully sand down the damaged areas, such as places with stains and water damage, and got them to the point where there were very few signs of the water damage or acid burns. They stained a section of floor with different stains for us and we chose a natural color. They stained it the color we chose and they put down the clear coat later in the week. They cleaned up after themselves before they left. The end result was beyond our expectations, and has completely revitalized our house. We had one miss-step that was the result of a misunderstanding, but when we explained the situation upon paying for the job, Maxcare took care of it immediately. The floor guys also apparently did minor damage to a closet door during their job, possibly by bumping into it with their equipment but as with the misunderstanding, when we explained the issue, they immediately gave us a discount for it, despite it being relatively minor. Overall, we're very pleased with the outcome. We would happily use Maxcare again and already have suggested them to some of our friends.

Made an appointment to get an estimate. The gentleman who came over was prompt, pleasant, and professional. He supplied me with the estimate right away. We had 3 other estimates done and we ended up going with MaxCare because of their reviews and their price. I also know of three other people that used them and they were completely satisfied. MaxCare's estimate didn't come in the lowest, but we felt going with a company with great reviews was worth a lot. Work was scheduled to begin on 3/26 between 8:00 & 9:00 am. They two gentleman arrived at 8:30. We went over some things and I left them in the house & went to work. The guys were very nice. When they say 100% dust free - they mean it. I couldn't find dust anywhere. They came back the next day to apply the finsih. They were early. When does that happen? I was at work, so they let themselves in the house and locked up when they left. They were able to remove almost all of the very nasty pet stains that a the previous hardwood floor guys said they couldn't remove when we had the floors refnished back in 1994. The floors look great! I highly recommend this company.

They were absolutely amazing! It's been close to a year and my floors still look and act as durable as ever. The cost was significantly less than 3 competitors I researched and it was truly sandless. Very professional, knowledgable and respectful staff. I've been telling friends about MaxCare!

I called the company to set up a time for an estimate. They sent a person to my house the next day who detailed their process and pricing. We agreed on service which was scheduled for the following week. The sanded arrived as scheduled. He did a wonderful, wonderful job of sanding. The before and after difference was amazing. He really worked on the water damaged areas. and he cleaned up after himself. Not just the kitchen area, but also the stairs he climbed to reach the floor with the kitchen, and the tiled area at the top of the stairs. How often does this ever happen? This thoughtfullness was unexpected and much appreciated. The person who sealed the floor came the next day. He called during the day to give me an exact arrival time. He applied the first coat of sealer, and returned later to apply the second coat. Overall, great experience.

Excellent! Highly recommend Max Care. My father had recently passed away (October)-all technicians were very sympathetic and went out of their way to treat me-(a weeping, grieving woman!) with special care. A company that goes above what is just required-truly caring individuals!

there were 3 areas where the wood needed to be repaired as i had changed the footprint of the floor. the individual doing the repair was very good - i had some extra wood that he was going to use but it was not in the best condition so the installer recommended not using that wood. glad he did this rather than install poor quality wood! the kitchen used to have the stick on linoleum and the black felt/glue needed to be sanded off. they did a great job with the rough sanding. (not much dust at all!) for the final finish, there were 3 issues. 1) they used a different bucket so i wasn't sure that i was getting the brand of finish as stated in the contract. i spoke with the owner and he assured me that the workers had used the different bucket as it was easier to use/mix, etc. he also indicated that he had asked them not to use a different container as other customers have had the same question. (lesson here - ask those applying the finish to see the containers when they are applying the finish!) 2) there were some gaps in the wood where they replaced the floor planks and they indicated they would fill them with wood filler. some areas were filled nicely but others were not. when i asked them about this, i was told that the filler will not last due to the change in humidity over the winter season. they came back and fixed some of the areas i asked about. 3) the area by the back 3 stairs (where they finished the floor) was finished poorly. the final sanding on the stairs was not done well, and there was dust/dirt in the finish, making the work by the stairs unacceptable. when i called, they came out and inspected the work. they agreed and ended up touching the areas that needed better finish sanding, and applied a final coat of finish to the entire area including the kitchen. (so the kitchen ended up having a 3rd coat - which looks very nice!)

Accepted their offer and will post before and after pics because my floors need a lot of help!

Max Care did a wonderful job- from the office staff (Rachel and Tina) to the installation crew (especially Frank) and refinishing crew (Ariel), they were professional, timely, efficient, skilled and careful. The crew did a fantastic job on the new flooring, taking an extra 3 days to deal with installing multiple, small angled cuts of quarter round trim. The sanding/refinishing crew ensured that the new floor blended with the old, removed some damaged boards from the previously existing floors in a hallway, and prepared several test patches prior to beginning the final refinishing process to ensure that we would be happy with the appearance. The final result looks fantastic - better than the original floors! The floors are a natural maple, and it's difficult to achieve an unblemished appearance. It's been about a month and we have not yet seen any "blotches" or drops that were visible with the original floors! And their price was excellent!! All-around a fantastic job.

It was fine. He showed up. He was on time. He gave me the quote right there. He was pretty knowledgeable. I decided to go with them based on the quote and then the all the reviews I have seen on Angie's List.

They did an excellent job. They arrived on time and explained each step of the process. They brought in several color samples and put them om the floor after sanding so we could decide on a color. They gave us detailed information on how to care for our new floor including how to protect the finish and what to use to clean it.

I'm a new home buyer so I didn't know much about hardwood floors. Tina came to provide an estimate and was very helpful with explaining the different options I had. With Tina's help, I decided not to stain the floors and just leave them natural and use their ceramic grade sealer. The team came on a Saturday morning and were prompt with their arrival. They came back on Monday to finish the two coats. The floors looked great and am very happy. We'll see how they hold up!

They are very good and they came on time. They did two bedrooms, a hallway, and a living room. I liked the way that looked so I had them come back and do my outside stairs. It cost $1000 to do one project and $800 for the other; the stairs were higher. When it was time to stain he gave me choices and actually put it on wood so I could see it in different lighting. They finished their work timely and cleaned up after themselves. The work was professionally done. He informed me of any problems with nails being up and he fixed them for me. There were no problems at all.

The owner stopped by and did a quick estimate and answered all my questions. The day of the project, they arrived on time and quickly set up and went to work. Total professionals and hard workers. All business, yet polite when I had any questions. I most definitely would refer this company to family and friends and hire them again for any future projects. I was impresssed.
