Description of Work: Great job bringing damaged floors back to life in our new home. Some issues with change in quote due to unknown conditions at time of quote. Did not show up on one day that we thought they were coming. this is only reason for not having an "A" rating. very good results and quality. Recommend dustless upgrade - virtually dustless. Crew was very good and trusted them in our home for 4 days!

Description of Work: The Overall score of A is for my installer Jeso. Jeso, was incredible! He was a hard, hard worker and very punctual. He is one of the main reasons I would use Maxcare again. He did a beautiful job laying my hardwood floor and was very informative as to what he was doing. He cleaned up his work site and you never would have known any one had been there working! I hope Maxcare is aware of his wonderful work ethic and how very good he is at his profession. As for Maxcare, I did not comparative shop so I am not sure about the price.

Description of Work: Our kitchen/great room floors were a mess after 23 years. Maxcare did a beautiful job resanding and finishing them. The process is so much different than it was 20 years ago. I couldn't believe the floors dried that fast.

Description of Work: They refinished my hardwood maple floors and did an excellent job. I spoke with several people including the workers and all were friendly, professional, thorough and helpful every step of the way. A minor issue was a few weeks later, I tried to get an estimate on a very small job at the same building and they needed 10 days to get someone over. I had to go with another contractor to get the work done in a timely way. But really, I would use MaxCare again and highly recommend them - they did an outstanding job from start to finish on the DR/LR floors.

Description of Work: We hired Max Care to install new Maple flooring in our living room/office and sand and refinish our kitchen and sunroom. The new floor in the living room has skippers, swirls and indentations from poor sanding. The kitchen had to be sanded twice and still has dull marks in the finish, gouges around the cabinet legs and swirl patterns. This is not the company to hire if you are looking for attention to detail or high end work. My contractor and myself are very disappointed. On top of the less than average work they are very rude and unprofessional. You can do better.

Description of Work: I made my third phone call to request someone to come and provide me with a quote to have my four bedroom floors refinished and stained. I finally got someone today, and explained that my husband and I don't get home from work until 4:30. I was told that the latest appointment was 3:30, and there weren't any exceptions made to the fact that some people have to work. I understand that this company has been awarded a superior service award, but apparently it only applies to the physical work that they do. It's absurd to me that in order to get a quote you have to take off of work early. 3 other people I know are also looking to have hardwood flooring work done in their homes, and I will be sure not to recommend this company to them since they also work later than 3:30. For those that work later, there are plenty of companies that make special exceptions and come out and give you a quote after their "normal" business hours. To me this is a testament to their overall level of customer service, which is very important to me.

Description of Work: We sent an email message with them to set up an appointment (We called a bunch of times but nobody ever answers and I did not leave a message). At time was agreed upon. They emailed back to see if they could change the time, which we agreed to. My wife took off work and waited for them to show up. They never did. Not phone call, no email, not even after the missed appointment. I understand that things happen and appointments get missed, but a call or email would have been nice. I guess they have enough work that they do not need our business. We called another provider on Angie's list and they have set up an appointment to come out for an estimate. They also give estimates in the evenings unlike Maxcare who only does it during the day. I have 1,800 people at my company and if asked, will tell them not to bother calling Maxcare.

Description of Work: Sanded and refinished wood flooring in kitchen, hallway, bath and laundry room, sanding, stain and 3 top coats.

Description of Work: Sanded approximately 150 square feet then added 3 coats of polyurethane. Previous floor had 3 layers of linoleum with around 1000 staples in which I removed. Floors look better than I had ever imagined. Will recommend and use again!

Description of Work: Refinished floors - did great job. No dust anywhere. Very prompt and polite. Back office always called to remind us when someone was coming. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. I had two bids, and there's was the cheapest but I felt it was the most professional of the bids (very detailed). They did a really great job.
