Max Care Hardwood Flooring

The MaxCare guys (different guys for each step in process) were GREAT. Always friendly, professional and on-time. I was skeptical about the "dust-free process", but it was truly dust-free. They left things very clean. MaxCare also has good customer service. For example, at one point far into the process they noticed a problem with the floors, and took the immediate steps to correct it, so they would be perfect. We really appreciated the fact that they pointed it out themselves and redid the work, where as some companies might just try to keep the mistakes and hope the owners don't notice them. The new floors look fantastic. This was our first time doing hardwood floors, so we kind of hoped MaxCare would give us more information and advice on the different types of floors options (different woods, different ways to lay the floors, etc.), but they didn't really offer that up proactively. In other words, do your research up front, so you know what to ask/discuss with them.

Their price was very reasonable and their employee, Daryl, did an outstanding job of refinishing and staining the floors. The floors were in horrible condition ...pet stains, water stains, and discoloration. We considered just carpeting the floors since they were in such bad shape. When Maxcare finished the job (on time and with an Angie's List discount) they were absolutely beautiful. I recommend them to everyone!!

Pricing and scheduling with Rachel was pleasant, she called and confirmed the the day before, on both days. Bill arrived both days within the scheduled time frame and his prep work and application was done with great care. His instructions were very clear on how to live with the floor during the curing process and the floors look great.

They work is really nice. There was a tiny bit of confusion in timing, but everything else was really good.

Nice guys. No dust. Would use them again.

They all sure knew what they were doing. I changed my mind on the finish just before he was about to put it on, no problem! ''I'll just run back to the shop to pick up what you want and I'll be right back.'' These guys want happy customers!

The crews were great. They were on time and they did an excellent job. This is the second time I've used this company.

MaxCare did an excellent job as usual. I was a little concerned that maybe we didn't have to actually replace the floors, but I don't know enough about flooring to to really know if we were being taken for a ride. I am, however, very happy that we did because we were able to fix squeeking in the sub floor that would might have not been correctable had we just sanded the floors ultra thin. We were also able to save some extra money by removing the old floor ourselves. The floor looks beautiful, the installer and finishers were extrememly professional, friendly and very tidy!! We look foward to having them back next year to refinish our sunroom.

Maxcare squeezed me in a couple days after my estimate so that the floors could be completed before we moved in. They worked Friday, Saturday and Monday, and always called to let me know they were coming. The crews were always friendly and the quality of work was excellent. The floors look amazing and get comments from everyone who sees them. The dust-free process is really dust-free, too. We will definitely use them for the upstairs when the time comes.

MaxCare has brought back Customer Service and Craftsmanship in this Service Industry. Andy, the stain expert, matched the stain to our woodwork perfectly. Bill, the second technician, orchestrated the finish coatings to everyone's satisfaction. Professionalism is very evident in the end result, our beautiful floors.

They were phenomenal. Not one speck of dust & I left my full length draperies hanging. Clean, clean, clean. Pleasant people & checked back to make sure I was satisfied.

We had a wonderful experience with this company. The quoting process was efficient - Tony was incredibly nice. Each day, the crew was on time and efficient and extremely clean. We received phone calls each day from the office letting us know when to expect the crew the next day. They estimated that the job would take 5 days, and it took 5 days. MaxCare advertises dustless sanding, and they mean it! We sealed off doorways and air vents ourselves, but it wasn't necessary... there was no sawdust left anywhere at all. The installation and finish was very high quality - the floor looks gorgeous. Pricing was very competitive with the other two quotes we received - in fact, MaxCare was over $1500 less than one company. We highly recommend this company for wood floor installation and refinishing. Plus, they'll give you an Angie's List discount, which is a bonus.

The guys were all very polite & friendly and arrived within the promised time frame. The cost of the job was reasonable. It was definitely worth paying for instead of spending hours doing it yourself.

Very good work. They were right on time and everything was as promised. Their bid was lower then the others I received and they had good references. Very satisfied.

The refinishing work was good, but the communication with this company was difficult and resulted in a finished product that I was unhappy with. I had verbally requested to the workmen that I wanted 2 coats of oil-based finish, but I later discovered they had put on water-based finish. When I complained, I was treated harshly and told that it was my fault for not calling the office with these changes, speaking to the workmen was not sufficient. I asked for compensation for their mistake, and was told that they would apply a 3rd coat with oil-based poly, but not compensate me with a discount for my inconvenience in having the work time stretched out by 5 days. Laurie, who works the office, was verbally abrasive and unreasonable to work with. This had been a very negative experience with the highly rated company.

Andy did a terrific job - especially matching the stain to the hallway! They really are dustless and we'll definitely have them back!

I was impressed by the fact that Tony was able to come to the house to provide an estimate within 2 days of my call. He provided a quote on the spot. I was able to set an appointment to have the work completed within 2 weeks and this was during the Thanksgiving holiday. On the scheduled day, the crew was there right on time. The sanding crew did an excellent job and the finisher did an excellent job. We have 2 more bedrooms to have refinished and they will be the company I will have do the work. I was more than satisfied. Also, I forgot to mention that they have a dust containment system that simply can't be beat. Actually, that was the best part--no cleaning up fine dust particles after the job was done.

THEIR SPECIALTY IS DUST-LESS SANDING SO YOUR HOUSE IS NOT FILLED WITH RESIDUE. THEY DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB AND YOUR JAW DROPS WHEN YOU SEE THEM. THEY GAVE US CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS AND THEY WERE VERY RESOURCEFUL. THEY WERE REALLY WORKING HARD. THEY GAVE US AN ANGIE'S LIST DISCOUNT OF $100. THE PRICE REPRESENTS THE COST FOR 3 COATS IN 3 ROOMS FOR THE APARTMENT UNIT.

OUTSTANDING. ALL WORKERS WERE FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS, POLITE AND SHOWED THEY CARED ABOUT THE CUSTOMER. MAX CARE IS AN EXAMPLE HOW ALL SERVICE PROVIDERS SHOULD BE. THE OFFICE STAFF DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB TO KEEP US INFORMED ABOUT JOB SCHEDULE.

THE DUSTLESS SYSTEM WAS GREAT. LITTLE TO NO DUST IN THE HOUSE. PLAN ON USING THEM AGAIN FOR MORE ROOMS IN OUR HOUSE.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE GENTLEMAN WHO CAME TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. HE ARRIVED AT THE APPOINTED TIME AND EVEN CALLED IN ADVANCE TO SAY HE WAS ON THE WAY. HE ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS WITH GOOD HUMOR AND MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH THE INFORMATION. THE 2 MEN WHO CAME TO DO THE SANDING & SEALING WERE EXCELLENT. THEY ALSO CALLED IN ADVANCE AND VERIFIED APPOINTMENT. THEY WORKED SOLIDLY AND ACCOMPLISHED THEIR JOBS IN GOOD TIME AND WITH WONDERFUL RESULTS. THE TEAM WHO DID THE 3RD COAT WERE NOT AS EFFICIENT, BUT DID COME AT THE APPOINTED TIME. SINCE I COULD NOT MOVE MY PIANO OUT OF THE ROOM, IT WAS AGREED TO FINISH AROUND THE AREA, MOVE THE PIANO AWAY, FINISH THAT SPOT AND RETURN THE PIANO. THE FINISH DID NOT EXACTLY MATCH AND AN UNEVEN MARK WAS LEFT IN THE AREA WHERE IT NEEDED TO BE BLENDED. OVERALL, THOUGH, I AM TOTALLY THRILLED WITH THE RESULTS. THE ANGIE'S LIST COUPON WAS HONORED WITHOUT QUESTION. A MINOR PROBLEM WITH CHARGES WAS HANDLED QUICKLY AND TO MY SATISFACTION.

GREAT EXPERIENCE. SINCE WE ONLY WANTED TO DO ONE ROOM, AND THEIR MINIMUM CHARGE IS $500 (LOWEST MINIMUM CHARGE I FOUND), MAX CARE REALLY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE SURE I RECEIVED ALL THE BENEFITS OF THEIR SERVICE. THEY VENT THE DUST FROM THE SANDING RIGHT OUTSIDE - NO MESS!!

THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS FAIR TO GOOD AND IT DID APPEAR TO BE A TRULY DUSTLESS PROCESS. HOWEVER, WE FOUND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE TO BE POOR. THEY LOST THE HOUSE KEY WE GAVE THEM AND HAD TOLD THEM TO RETURN. WE HAD TO CALL THEM 3X BEFORE THEY ADMITTED THAT IT WAS LOST. THEY ALSO INDICATED THAT THIS HAD HAPPENED WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS BUT DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE WOULD BE SO CONCERNED. THE ADMINISTRATOR FINALLY SAID THAT THE MANAGER MIGHT APPROVE REIMBURSEMENT FOR A NEW LOCK BUT WE FELT WE HAD ALREADY INVESTED ENOUGH TIME IN THEM AND JUST PAID FOR IT OURSELVES. WE WOULD HAVE FELT BETTER ABOUT THE SITUATION IF WE DID NOT ALWAYS HAVE TO CALL THEM, IF THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE UNDERSTANDING OF OUR CONCERN, IF THE MANAGER COULD HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND CALLED US AND IF THE OFFER TO REIMBURSE FOR A NEW LOCK WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE INITIALLY.

I HAVE RECEIVED MANY COMPLIMENTS ON THE WORK THEY DID.
