They did a very good job and we were happy with the people in our home. I had a very good experience with this caompany.

They did an excellent job, and are professional. They get it done when they say that they ll get it done, and their price is reasonable.

We got a couple of other estimates & they were in the middle range. They seemed to know what they were doing & their reputation seemed good from what we had read. We set up a time for them to come. When they actually came to do the work though they sanded & stained in the same day. By the time they started to stain it was the evening & they said there wasn't adequate lighting but did it anyway. So then the second day the put the topcoat on it. The next day we inspected it & there were a lot of splotches. At one point we could actually see a handprint & some fingerprints & weren't very happy about that. We talked to the manager & she came out & looked at it. She was willing to redo different spots but we didn't think that would be good. So she agreed to redo the entire area that they did. We also had them do an additional bedroom & some other stuff. They didn't give us any discount for the extra time & everything. Going back & forth with the manager about paying was really an issue. She really wasn't really willing to bend much at all. They finally redid the entire area, which looked better, but we can still see splotches where the stain wasn't applied completely evenly. So overall we were not really satisfied with the job they did & will not use them again in the future.

My wife and I contracted with MaxCare to sand, refinish, and seal our wood floors. At the time we scheduled the work, my wife made it very clear that we had to have the work completed at the end of the work day Thursday, December 4th (work was scheduled for 12/3 and 4). She was assured that this would not be a problem since we were requesting only 2 coats of sealant. On Monday, December 2nd, I called the company to confirm the start date and time and requested that the crew be to our home as close to 8:00 am as possible. I was told this would not be a problem and had the dates confirmed. I stayed home the morning of December 3rd to meet the crew and arrange for access to the home when we were not there. Finally, at 9:00 I called the office and it was discovered that the correct start date (Wednesday, December 3rd) was in the schedule book along with the notation of my confirmation and request for an early arrival-however the date to start the job on the schedule board was Thursday, December 4th. Although the person at the company was clearly concerned and very apologetic; we could not change the dates and they could not get a crew to our home until the next day. We canceled the contract and they sent our deposit back promptly. Although we understand that mistakes happen, this was very disruptive as we had made hotel reservations for the first night (it was suggested that the smell might be quite strong and could cause headaches) and moved everything out of the areas. The quote was reasonable and we were impressed with the professionalism at the time of the estimate. I would consider using this company in the future based on all of the positive reports that they have received from others on Angie's List. The scheduling mix up was very unfortunate for all parties.

The workers and the office staff were polite and eager to please. The workers were careful to find the best stain color. The work was done carefully and the floor looks beautiful. They worked hard to fit into my schedule. Everyone I talked to at MaxCare was helpful and polite. I would definitely use them again!

From start to finish it went very well, no surprises or extra costs.

They were very good and they did a nice job. They were professional and knowledgeable. They were nice and quick. They were prompt and responsive. They were good about scheduling appointments.

I believe they may not be in service any longer.

Maxcare prices their service very competitively but the quality of work is not always what is should be. The person who laid the hardwood admitted that he "knew what to do to get by". He had to replace boards because he laid boards that were split. He provided no explanation of what the process would be. Thankfully while getting a second estimate, that contractor completely explained how he would lay the floor and how the floor would match with my existing hardwood floor. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known that the boards could run parallel with my existing floor boards. I believe the company has overextended itself and it shows in their communication. A number of times I called and either left a voice mail message or had the person answering the phone take the message and yet no one seemed to know that I had called. The crew that finished the floor worked over Thanksgiving and I found out that no one was available in the office to answer any type of calls. While working at my home, one of the workers fell ill and both workers left to take the one who had fallen ill to the emergency room. They could not contact anyone in the office and neither could I to tell them what was going on. Thankfully, their worker returned to finish the job. The refinishing work that was done on my floor at this time was excellent. This was not the case when I had Maxcare return to refinish my floor after my kitchen was complete and there were two areas that needed attention. The refinish was spotty in three areas. Although Maxcare came out to look at the problem and probably would have redone the floors again, I felt that I would be taking a chance that the floors would be done correctly.

They are absolutely stupendous! They were dust free and left no mess!

It went quite well, overall I was pleased. It is an old house and it is always a gamble when you reveal old floor boards. I was a little surprised that the 2 coats went down in 1 day. I was told that the first coat is absorbed immediately into the floor, enabling them to apply the second coat on the same day. I am not sure whether I feel that I have 3 coats or not. There were also some rough patches in some of the corners of the room, I assume it was where the machine could not go. Not a big deal, I am a perfectionist. There were a lot of nails that were banged into the floorboards to stop them creaking and they made a call not to remove them on the stairs and I think that was a good idea.

The floors look wonderful. They sent someone out in person to give an estimate. We were given information on what was to be done, time schedule and cost. The men who came to work on the floors were very nice and professional. There were a few very minor spots in the hallway that the varnish was not even. They came out immediately and took care of it. It was something that might have worked itself out by itself with more than a weeks drying time. I was very impressed that they took care of it right away instead of waiting to see if it would correct itself. They were a wonderful company to work with.

They showed up when they said they would. They always returned phone calls. The price was under any other quote I received. They were flexible with payments. I enjoyed working with this company and would hire them again. The service was superior.

They were professional and timely. We were very pleased with them. When they stained the second part of the floors we moved out for a night.

I was very happy with them they did excellent. They recommended not using a dark stain. I took their advice and was extremely happy. They were very concerned that the coating had dried in-between the next coat because of the weather, so they were excellent about taking care of that.

They did a really good job with the work. They were on time and I was pleased with there service. The dust free was dust free.

The floor that was refinished was in a rental property. They were very patient with me because I had to reschedule four different times. It was dustless and looked great. One of the workers damaged a metal strip, but replaced it with a wooden one. I would definitely recommend them to others.

We bought an old house in Milwaukee and the floors were in terrible shape. Max care came in and either refinished the floors or replaced the parts that could not be saved. There were several problems along the way that they were great about working around them. Our floors look like a million dollars. They helped us from start to finish and I would recommend them to everyone.

It went very well. The work had to be completed in two stages, three days the first week and three days the second. Spouse's job requires sensory analysis and as it was smellier than anticipated we ended up staying in a hotel for two nights each week. I was informed about what was happening at each step of the project and the finished product is very lovely.

It was not a good experience. I hired them to repair the floors. We knew going in that the floors had been abused. Previous owners had animals. Maxcare stripped the floors and there were animal urine spots. The manager called us and was very rude, wanted to know what we should do with the floor. We advised them to refinish the floor. My husband had picked up some bleaching stuff for the floor and the manager told us this would not work. Well, we tried it on one spot. After they refinished the floor, the spot my husband had put the stuff on was not visible and the others were. She incorrectly informed us and was not willing to make the situation right. I would not recommend them to anyone.

They were great about letting us know what was happening and when. Though they couldn't completely remove the pet stains on one of the floors. The room looks significantly better.

Job took 4 days from start to finish. Repairs lasted the entire first day, a bit longer than expected as more repairs were needed than initially anticipated. Second day, sanding and first coat of stain. The two following days, one coat of varnish each. The floor looks good and the sanding was indeed virtually dust free.

They came out on time and bid the job. The whole process was explained in great detail which was appreciated. They were able to get me in within a month which was great for me. Everyone was very polite and easy to work with. I had two minor issues: the first was that the shoe molding was not installed immediately and we had to wait a week after everything else was done to get that finished. I didn't press them to come out sooner because it wasn't a big deal for me. I got the impression that if I had been more demanding, they would have made a special trip out earlier to get it finished. The second issue was that I gave the office my garage code for the guys to get in to the house and I received calls on two days at work from the guys because they didn't have the code. The floors are unbelievably beautiful and when they say "dustless" they aren't kidding. I think the house has less dust in it than before they started! Would definitely recommend them and use them again.

The Maxcare team claims they are dustless and I was a skeptic, however, they are true to their word. Virtually no dust! I have had other floors refinished and it took days to get all the dust out of the house but not this time. The team did a great job and the floor came out great. My only slight negative comment would be that they could have sanded a bit more on some of the hard to reach places but it really is a minor issue. For anyone trying to decide between 2 coats or 3 coats of sealer...go with 3. We really noticed the difference when the 3rd coat went on. The floor looked much better. I highly recommend this company.

Max Care was great! Their Atomic dust removal system left no residue to clean up at all. Their workers were punctual and professional. If there was any question about a detail, they took care of it promptly. MaxCare was flexible about doing the work in two phases which saved us a lot on the cost.
