Max Care Hardwood Flooring

The floors look magnificent, and no dust that I could see. The staff are all friendly and professional. When I called for the estimate, they were prompt to come out to measure and provide a quote. They also provided several options, for the various rooms we wanted to refinish. When we called to schedule for the work, they were able to book into dates that worked best for us. They started and finished on time and left a clean, beautiful looking floor for us. I would certainly recommend them for refinishing work.

When Tony came to bid, he figured the area and got a precise count of thresholds and bullnose needed. He immediately gave me an itemized price with the add-on upcharges for various options.MaxCare installed and finished about 600 ft. of oak flooring for us. After Rachel received the signed contract, we scheduled for a couple of weeks later. I asked for and got a day-by-day, "if everything goes as planned" schedule, and from that day everything went like clockwork. It's a noisy, labor-intensive job, so I am glad they had an experienced lead installer and plenty of helpers. It took a few hours longer than planned to lay the floor but that was made up on a Saturday to keep on schedule.There was a significant amount of edging and a complicated inlay area that was done beautifully.The sanding was amazingly dust-free. The truck-mounted vacuums were very effective. There was some unavoidable dust from edging and hand-sanding but virtually none from the big drum sander. After a small area was sanded early in the day, they did some sample staining for us to review and choose our finish. We signed off on that while sanding continued.We were advised very specifically in advance that there would be some odor from the Minwax stain, and there was. Staining took three guys just a couple of hours. Putting on the finish took two guys a few hours as well. The Street Shoe finish had only a slight odor, however.I read their terms in advance. They were fair and explained specific things that every customer needs to know about floor installation. The installers and finishers arrived promptly each morning or as scheduled in advance. No surprises whatsoever and no no-shows! It was a pleasure to work with them. For example there was a small area of subfloor that I had not properly screwed down. They let me know about that promptly and worked in another room while I fixed the problem. They also left prepared signs and instructions to help ensure that floors and finishes were not damaged after installation.

Prompt estimate, arrived on time, did the work for the price and in the manner promised. Very pleasant to deal with from the office to the estimator and including the workmen.

So far they have been great. They fixed an appointment at a convenient time first and then came to give a quote. They were friendly.

Estimator arrived promptly on the day after I called. Itemized estimate was provided at that time by the estimator. We have delayed the project for unrelated reasons but will probably use this contractor.

Tony came over for an estimate and addressed some of my concerns about damaged areas of our hardwood flooring. He then explained the work that needed to be completed and the steps involved. Tony and his crew were able to turn my damaged and dingy new home floors into a beautiful natural red oak hardwood floor. The replacement boards are blended perfectly and we have a long lasting finish we can depend on.

I told them that I wanted them stained. They said they would not stain the hallway because it is Bird's Eye Maple, and it will not take a stain. They did stain the dining room, but I was not happy with how it turned out and neither were they. They came and stripped the stain off and redid the floors. We decided to just seal them and let the natural color show. They did not even charge me for coming back to redo the floors since I was not happy the first time. They are very good peopole and are good at what they do. There wasn't sawdust anywhere when they were finished. When I decide to redo the rest of the floors, I will definitely call them.

I was very nervous about not being able to use my stairs for several hours per day for 3 days (I have 2 small children who nap) but Rachel was excellent in scheduling the crews at my preferred times. I am so excited with the fantastic results and will use MaxCare for my future floor refinishing needs! The stairs look beautiful! My husband attempted to refinish the stairs himself, but after countless hours with a palm sander and no end in sight, I decided to hire professionals. I should have called MaxCare from the get-go; it was a great experience with terriffic results!

I am opening a women's clothing boutique in Downtown Milwaukee and wanted to install hardwood floors. Tony came out to give me the initial estimate and we spoke in great detail about the different flooring options: laminate vs prefinished, etc. He even recommended a supplier for my flooring that was able to BEAT what Lumber Liquidators was offering. There was carpet installed in the storefront, and MaxCare was able to rip out the carpet/padding/plastic floor molding for less than another contractor we reached out to. The ripped up the floors in one day, and installed our flooring the following week in 3 and 1/2 days. Their pricing was very competitive and they kept me in the loop throughout my entire installation. I was and am very pleased with the work they did.

Maxcare gave a quote and charged accordingly, they showed up on time and got the job done in the timeframe promised. The floors turned out exceptionally well. There is no sanding marks and the detailing around the floorboards, corners, and heaters is very good. The finish is perfect. The job was pretty expensive at $2.50 a foot but they did such a good job it was worth it.

They were very good. They came out and gave us an estimate. Their quote wasn?t the lowest but they provided a dust free service where they got rid of the dust on the floor. The floor looks really nice. They did a good job.

Everything looks amazing. They did a wonderful job. The crew who came out to do the work came about five to ten minutes early, which was great. They found an opening for an appointment about two days prior to their coming out. The work ended up costing exactly what they quoted me. They were comparable if not better when I looked around.

Due to the humid weather, the stain didn't dry as anticipated for the first finish to be applied the next day, so that set us back by one day. We were glad that they didn't try to rush the job by applying a finishing coat. The floor looks absolutely beautiful and the half walls never looked so great.

Great. Needed floors refinished by end of following week due to rental of home. Maxcare completed the project on schedule, with 3 finish coats, and very professional results. Competitive price. Received quotes from other vendors _after_ Maxcare was already done. Will definitely use again.
