Lisbon Storm Screen & Door Inc

I looked up Lisbon Storm and Screen on Angie's list to view their reports. I had purchased a front storm door from them in 2006. Finding that they still had a good reputation, I emailed Dave Wilhelm directly from the Angie's List web site and told him what I was interested in. I received an email response later the same day, and he sent his installer to measure the door. I stopped in and paid for the door, which he then set aside for his installer to pick up. The $210 price does not include installation....installation was $130 extra. I am very pleased with my new door and the installation was also excellent.

The staff was helpful and courteous. They not only answered my questions, but also guided me to get the right stuff.

After picking up the window, I managed to break all three glass panes when loading it into my car. I sheepishly walked back into the store, informed the salesperson that I already broke the window I just picked up, and asked whether it would be cheaper to repair it, or just order a new one. To my surprise, he offered to repair the glass free of charge, unloaded the window remains from my car, and cleaned up the glass shards! A couple of days later, I picked up the newly repaired window. This was the first time I have ever received customer service of this level. The Lisbon guys have earned a customer for life.

They are fantastic people and have great products. I ordered in October and they installed the doors in December. The installer was an older guy and hard to work with and didn't listen but his work was fantastic and his craftsmanship was excellent. He wasn't so much there for dialogue; he was there to get the job done, which was actually fine as long as the person knew what they were doing and in this case he did. He had his own company but he was hired through Lisbon. The price was high but you get what you pay for. I would absolutely use them again.

The interaction went well. We did not end up purchasing doors from them. We looked around to see what they had. We talked with a representative and got an estimate and pricing. We decided to hold off and give it some thought. We have not really acted on the information. They seemed very knowledgeable.

Everything didn't go well, the company wouldn't fix the problem when the windows had a gap.

This is a weird company - not what you typically expect or experience from a window/door company. You bring your windows in and wait in line to get a sales person to give you their expertise. They're building an in-store showroom, but they've never had this before. It's location is in not the nicest part of town but right across street from big police station - so it's OK to be there. They do a good job, but overall - the first time there, you can't help but kind of company you're going to be working with. Everyone I've ever worked with there is nice and has the expertise I need. They seem to enjoy being there too. Overall - it's just not what you expect.

Overall good experience from an establish, experienced company. They know their line of business. Order process was fine. The thing marring the experience was the wrong color was ordered, and it required a second order and trip. Fortunately the staff admitted somehow the wrong product code was entered and insisted I keep the wrong insert-- at a loss of $36 to them-- for my trouble. Another minor annoyance is wait times and lines can be long during busy period. But the expertise and product availability at Lisbon is excellent and should be considered when you're looking for doors, windows, screens, railings, etc. The number of contractors in the lot is an indication of their services and prices.

They charged around $375 for the doors and another $180 to install them. The company itself was good, but I didn't feel that the installers were professional. They suggest an installer that they work with and so, they weren't the same people that sold us the doors.

This was a positive experience. I went to Lisbon to choose the window type, the installer did the measurements and gave those to Lisbon. Windows came in on time. The installation took about 2.5 days. Installers were excellent, friendly, dedicated to their work. I called them back for a couple of caulking issues and they arrived quickly and fixed the issues with no problem. I would use these people again. There is no question about their competence and honesty. Plus, these are LOCAL companies.

Terry called before coming onto the premises. Came promptly at the time he said he would. He was very thorough, knew what he was doing, and cleaned up well. A very pleasant service experience, overall!

Purchased a stock utility basement storm window on 11/15, (29X25). On 11/23, I noticed the frame was chipped near the corner of one of the ends. On 11/24, I drove 15 miles to Lisbon's store to exchange the item for an undamaged/non-defective one. When I approached the counter for an exchange, I was asked whether I inspected the window when I purchased it. I said yes, but didn't notice the chip at the time. However, I said it's obviously defective since I didn't do anything to the window. I was then told that if I went in the warehouse and looked at the other basement storms none would have any defects and I should have inspected the window more thoroughly before paying for it. I then stated I didn't do anything to the window. The counter person and a supervisory type person stated that they would not exchange the window. I stated that I had a distinct feeling that Lisbon wouldn't do the exchange before I even left home, and that it wouild be a waste of my time to come to their store to show them the damaged window for an exchange. I was then told that I had a bad attitude by the supervisory type person. I returned the compliment and stated Lisbon didn't appear to be at all concerned about customer satisfaction. I was told next time inspect before you buy. I realized it was becoming a "no win situation" with Lisbon Storm Screen and Door preferring to be the winner and lose a customer for life. With window in hand, I left the store to never return... Although the receipt states "no refunds after 30 days" I realize in retrospect they are meaningless words which convey nothing except Buyer Beware since Lisbon wouldn't refund my money when I asked for it...

The price was $16 per window, which was great! I was very impressed with their work. They are very good at what they do. I have already used them since and would recommend them to others.

Our 1929 bungalow had the original storms and screens requiring change out in the fall and spring. Several of our windows did not even have screens. We wanted to upgrade the windows, yet keep the originality of the wood windows. Searching to replace the storms and screens we found the showroom and employees at Lisbon to be very helpful. They compared several products for us and provided a cost comparison for over 30 windows-many custom sized. We ended up purchasing a wood storm/screen combo to improve efficiency and keep the originality. Lisbon also provided a recommendation for a quality installer.

They were very kind, professional, and courteous. They even recommended me to someone for painting the windows. I thought the price was a little steep and I did have to pay some additional money because the measurements were off a little - which wasn't their fault.

I had 5 window replacement estimates for 11 windows. Lisbon offered excellent windows for a extremely good price! The other estimates were too high or the windows were poorly made. They were prompt and well informed on their products. Josh and Nick are great! My husband and I are using their services for another home(12 windows). Obviously, I would highly recommend them.

I was very pleased with them. I felt that their prices were reasonable but I did go with a more reasonable quality of window. Their prices were very competitive. I would hire them back in the future.

We thought we needed a new front door (which would have cost about $2K.) You could feel the cold air breezing into the house. I called Lisbon for a bid for a new front door. Before they gave us a bid, Lisbon suggested some detailed weather proofing of my existing door first. They were right! I had them perform the same work on two other doors. The total cost for three doors is $200. Over the years I have purchased windows and doors from Lisbon. I have always found them to be professional, courteous, and friendly. I highly recommend their products and services.

Lisbon Storm and Screen is always a bit crazy inside, but once you speak to a representative, they are very helpful. The piece I was searching for was a bit odd, but they found a good replacement from Marvin Windows. I have yet to order the piece, but I will probably go through Lisbon Storm and Screen.

Pleased to find a place that would do this at such a reasonable price. Took all the screens in. Counter was very busy but very organized and meticulous in measuring, pricing, and labeling my screens. Ready for pick-up in less than 48 hours. Work was very neatly done.

They were able to cut a break in the glass and fix the mirror so we could use it again.

This company has been around for a long time. They offer a wide variety of options for the cost-conscious consumer. They are very attentive to the consumers needs. They also understand that every door/window is not straight and needed adjustments made. I rated them C because I have had to call them several times regarding the replacement and going into their facility it's not the neatest most professional looking place.

Lisbon Storm and Screen has a great selection, but the windows are sold "as is". The ones we selected needed a little work, so we took them to our neighborhood glass shop for re-glazing. This added another $30 to the cost, but now we have windows that look exactly like the rest of the house.

CALLED THEM, AND THEY GAVE ME DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO MEASURE IT UP, BASED ON THIS, I ORDERED NEW ALUMINUM STORM WINDOW (THAT HAPPENED TO BE A STOCK ITEM), PICKED IT UP AND INSTALL IT MYSELF.

They are a reputable company known for their doors and service. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. The installer was punctual, friendly and competent. Service was excellent. The front door hardware was originally scratched and they came out to replace it with no questions asked. Not the cheapest doors on the market, but quality and service was well worth the extra money.
