Accurate Basement Repair

All work was performed to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend Accurate Basement. The staff is highly professional and very accessible to answer questions. In addition, they were extremely helpful with the required inspection; going above and beyond to assist us. Also, they provided top notch referrals for related projects (plumbing and radon remediation). Homeowners - look no further if you require foundation reinforcement work or basement waterproofing. This is a five star company that is responsive, fair and extremely professional! Outstanding customer service as well!

Estimate was done over the phone after I texted pictures in. Very easy to get set up, not long to wait to get on schedule. Prompt and thorough as far as I can tell. The work and warranty was pretty thoroughly explained. We won't know until we have a couple more very bad rainstorms if the fix was effective but looks good so far.

I did receive the estimate for repair from Paul and I thought the price was reasonable to the work that needed to be done and also in regards to research I done. However, with the advice and direction he provided, I was able to repair the window well myself with the only cost being "Sweat Equity!" To top it off, Paul called me yesterday to check on if I had made a decision on the contract and I told him I was able to make the repair myself with the advice he had given me. We ended up talking for another 15 or 20 minutes on the repair I had made and things I should watch out for in the future. The bottom line is this, I do not think I have ever worked with a contractor that told me I could fix the issue myself and then give me the information I needed to do so first, before even talking about an estimate on the repair. I would definitely work with Accurate for any future foundation/basement repairs.

It went very well, I learned a lot, and was impressed to receive follow through from a contractor that didn't end up doing the work. Our best interest (not company profit) was Paul's focus.

Paul from Accurate Basement Repair spent over an hour inspecting the basements and providing helpful educational information as well as options I could consider to improve the appearance, structure of the walls, and exterior foundation. He was very helpful and professional. He is highly knowledgeable and gave me suggestions and referrals for some of the smaller repairs that are needed as well as referrals to other businesses to consider for work I need done unrelated to the basements.

My sump pump stopped working and needed to be replaced. They tried to fit me into their busy schedule and they did an excellent job replacing the sump pump, their charge is very reasonable. If there is a way to give A plus, I would give A plus to them.

The men were professional and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about everything. My basement has dampness issues, but he told me where the dampness is and what I can do to fix it .. new downspouts, a bit of grading, and some Palmer Valve repair by a plumber. I was thankful it was not something more serious.. There was no charge. If I need something in the future, this is the place I will call.

We had a problem with water in 2 corners of our basement. We had one basement repair company do an estimate which was $23.000. Our neighbor told us about Accurate basement repair. They were happy with their repair and recommended them.. We called for an estimate and Accurate came out and thought that this was a fixable problem and recommended filling the gaps and joints with caulk and gave us a sheet with a product that they recommended. We were very relieved with this solution. There was no cost for the estimate. They were very helpful and told us to call their offices if we had any questions, and if there were problems that continued after this to call them, but they felt this would resolve the problems. We would definitely recommend them.

around the houseThe staff from Accurate Basement Repair examined our basement (laundry room) and determined that the major moisture issue we were dealing with concerned outside water runoff. They examined the downspouts and gutter system and pointed out cracks and flaws in the outside system. This was allowing water to collect outside and when the ground got saturated (as it did 2 weeks ago) water would seep into our basement. They recommended another company to do the gutter and downspout work. One other service they provided was to open a closed valve in a basement drain. It was explained that the closed valve prevented water from flowing out of the drain system. All the work, the assessment of the water runoff problem and making a quick repair on the basement drain, was done at no cost. The service was professional with no regard for coming up with some "fix" that would potentially cost a lot of money. We had to wait two weeks from the time we called them. (Our initial call was not an emergency.) The wait was worth it. I would not hesitate to contact them again if we need work in our basement.

Accurate Basement Repair were phenomenal. They worked a 13 hour day, in fact it might have been more than 13 hours. They quoted me a price to put in drain tile inside and out. They expected the job to go one way and he said, it's a big job, we are going far so I'm going to double up my team, we'll do it in one day. He had guys working inside and out. They excavated the outside. They came into some trouble, they actually had to rebuild the south wall which they did not expect. He said, I'm going to have to increase your price a little bit to cover that. I said, that's understandably fine. He raised it by $500 and that was a big job. They had trucks lined up and down the street and they didn't even stop for lunch. I called in the pizza guy and I ordered 5 pizzas and said, you guys have to eat. This is silly. So they did, but they were eating while they working. They where phenomenal. I would recommend them highly. Prompt. They were wonderful. There is a 20 year warranty on their work. Really, really, really good.

Bob came out and checked out our garage, which has a shifting foundation and settling cement blocks. He was very upfront and honest that he felt a repair was not the right route to go - the structural integrity of the garage is just too compromised at this point. I appreciated his honesty as several others have recommended very expensive band-aid solutions.

It was a very good experience. They were able to describe to me what the issue was just by description over phone and basically also what they found out when they came out to the house from clean up stand point there was no problems there. It was clean on the job and there was overall a very good experience. I understand it as well just kind of describing to me what he was doing.

It went extremely well... I did not end up requiring any repairs, yet if I did at some point, I would definitely use Accurate Basement Repair. I was extremely impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism.

Quality work, done on time for the price quoted. They were there when they said they would be for both the inspection & quote visit and the time of repair. The work was completed on time for the price quoted, there was no mess left behind, the guy who did the repair was courteous and professional. Since the repair was completed 3 months ago and we have had heavy rains, some snow and freezing temperatures, then warmer temps with thawing and no water leakage. Highly recommended and I would hire them again if needed.

We had an area on the wall of our poured basement that had a little leaking on/off over the years---not a big deal, but I wanted it fixed once and for all. Tim came out, took a look at it, filled it in and it hasn't leaked at all since! Great experience!

Overall, our experience with Accurate was nothing but positive. We scheduled estimates for this project with 5-6 companies which ranged from not showing up to declining any proposal until a structural engineer was hired. We were extremely frustrated until Paul came to our home for an inspection and estimate. He spent well over an hour on a Friday evening inspecting the interior foundation walls, exterior walls and providing suggestions for maintenance of our foundation. The other companies were at my home for probably 15 min combined. He freed up our palmer valve in the floor drain and advised us to monitor for water over the next several weeks. He did not immediately jump to the big, expensive fix which was refreshing. He also provided a lot of education which helped me understand the type of foundation drainage system we had in our 1930 home. Ultimately, we continued to have water problems and the only solution was to install the interior drain tile and sump pump. The office was able to schedule our job quickly to accommodate a family situation. The job was completed very efficiently over the course of 3 days and I was kept informed of the progress and next steps each day. There was some confusion regarding the location of the sump crock and discharge from basement, which created some extra work for the plumber but all was resolved and he did an excellent job. The city inspectors know these guys and know they do excellent work. They were at my home for just a couple minutes and their only comments were related to the high quality of work done. For a big job like this, I would highly recommend Accurate because they are honest and will get the job done efficiently and correctly. Update: Accurate has agreed to relocate the sump pump discharge to my preferred location. After I further investigated the matter with the city, I learned that this would be an approved location. It is nice to know that they will continue to provide the same level of customer service even after the repair has been completed.

We called Accurate Basement Repair because we had a mildew smell in one of our offices. We have had on going flooding issues in the past. It is a rented office and we wanted to take care of the problem as quickly as possible. We were VERY appreciative to the company for sending out two representatives on the same day we called. Bob and Lacey, looked over the property to find out where our problem could be coming from. They discovered some sources which could possibly be causing water issues. Their findings were the cheapest possible solutions to our problem. One of which was to replace our downspouts. They honestly cared to look for the real source of our problem even though they would not receive any benefit for their company by selling any goods or services. We appreciate their experience, knowledge, and wisdom in helping us to determine the source of our problem. Bob went above and beyond when he wrote up a report for us to share with our tenants to help satisfy their concerns. We cannot thank them enough for their way of doing business. If we ever have a need for flooding issues again or if I ever hear of anyone else in need of their services it would be an honor to recommend them.

Accurate completed all work as contracted. The work crews were professional and took careful consideration of our property. Accurate provided sub-contractors for the carpentry and plumbing. We were very pleased with the work and would highly recommend this contractor to others. We did have our own specialist inspect our basement and provide us with a recommendation on what needed to be done. We would recommend this process to others; it allows you to understand what you want done before you call the contractors. The Accurate salesman then met with us. He was thorough and explained things very well. We felt confident that there would not be surprises and there weren't. We called in four different contractors and really liked three of them. We chose Accurate because they had a competitive price, were thorough and we had good recommendations for them from people we know who had used them. We had one change in date for the work, but that was not unexpected since weather was an issue this summer. They predicted that the work would take 2-3 days and it took 3, mostly due to the scheduling for the inspector. The workers kept heavy equipment off our driveway and they were careful to clean up afterward. Considering that the floor and ceiling had to be torn up in the basement, the end result looks good. Accurate's office is a little sluggish on calling back as we waited for the scheduling and the work to be done. In the end, we made most of the calls to find out where things stood. But all in all that was minor

They did a very professional job. They were very efficient in their work. Paul is also a home inspector, so he has given me a lot of advice to correct grading and even found cracks that I did not know that I had. He goes above and beyond to be available for any questions or follow up that I have needed.

Everything was very good-- on time, professional, no complaints.

Got off to good start with estimator, "Bob". He was professional & courteous ... didn't seem intent on selling , but rather focused on my needs. After I signed up for work, they came out & performed measurements. Next, the day of the install went smoothly. Crew was on time, worked diligently, and cleaned up afterwards. Let's hope the work they did ACTUALLY remedies the issue they were trying to resolve! Time will tell.

The answer to my question was fairly straightforward: there are no structural concerns, and therefore no need for a repair by a professional. Even so, Paul took the time to point out a number of improvements that should be made to the landscaping. These were not improvements he was trying to "sell," and he encouraged me to do the work myself or find a fixit professional who could do it. He spent plenty of time going through the options, but did not charge anything for the information. He also provided me with a printed handout for how to do the work correctly. He offered some specific recommendations about dehumidifier units -- again not trying to sell me anything. I appreciated his professional advice. He also noted some safety improvements that could be made in the basement (electrical box should be protected to reduce corrosion from the foundation wall). We would definitely call them to do any work that might be necessary in the future.

Paul came to address a water issue we were having in one corner of our basement. While he was running a little late (10-15 minutes) the evaluation was free and the advice he gave us has the potential to save us over thousands of dollars so in the grand scheme of things, I wasn't too put out. He examined the outside of the house first and addressed concerns with our current sump pump discharge route and the downspout on the corner in question. When we went inside he examined the area of concern and also inspected the rest of the basement to see if there were other issues we should be aware of. He was able to give me a comprehensive explanation of the way our house was originally built as well as modifications that have been made since then to help with water issues in the basement. He recommended no repairs at this time and gave explicit directions on steps to take to address the issues on our own. He also referred us to a plumber to help with the sump pump discharge issue if we didn't feel comfortable attempting the repairs ourselves. Paul also provided us with a rough estimate for the cost of the DIY work he proposed if we preferred to have them do it instead. He was friendly, polite, thorough, and didn't mind my son interrupting the meeting when he woke up from his nap. I am hopeful that we'll be able to fix this on our own, but if not I will definitely contact Accurate for this repair or any future repairs.
