Description of Work: The owner and his crew were very professional. The work performed in a timely manner. The workmen were informative and put together a good looking and functional system. The results of the follow-up radon test came back as 0.4. My basement was at 13 before the system was installed. Now I feel much more comfortable with the air in my home. The added bonuses are supposed to be a more efficient removal of moisture in the summer and much cleaner air in my home. I would definitely recommend their service.

Paul knows what he's doing, behaves as a professional, and gets the job done. Our basement radon level dropped from 20 pC/L to below 1 pC/L and has stayed there ever since (work was done in May of 2006). I've recommended Paul to my father-in-law, and he was also very happy with the work that was done.
Description of Work: Radon mitigation in newer home. Installed submersible sump pump so that sump cap could be sealed, sealed any cracks in foundation & basement floor, installed pipe and fan to remove sub-slab radon gas before it gets into the house.

The experience with RMES was outstanding. We initially had the Radon reduction unit placed in our home on May 30, 2007, shortly before we purchased the home. Paul really knows what he is talking about, and he was really flexible, adjusting his schedule to meet our needs, as we were relocating from out of state and did not have a lot of free time to meet. Paul also went above and beyond by meeting a plumber at our house to discuss with the plumber the function of a specific pipe, and whether or not he could remove it. He finished the work promptly and provided us with excellent sump pumps. His website is a wealth of information, not only about the type of work he does, but about radon in general. His website also shows several before and after pictures, so you have a clear idea of what the end project is going to look like. His estimate was in the middle range of the estimates we received prior to having the work completed by Paul. One year after having the system installed, (June 8, 2008) we noticed that the fan on our radon reduction system was not working. We called Paul and he met with us two days later after work so that he could replace the fan at no charge to us. When we talked to him while he worked we mentioned that we had a hole in our basement next to a connector pipe and he brought out his sealant and sealed the pipe for us for free! I cannot say enough good things about RMES - if you have a radon issue, your search is ended - call RMES now, and not only will you not be disappointed, you will be extremely satisfied!
