Rosewood Flooring

The tear up went fine and the installation appeared fine. There was one transition piece placed between the kitchen and a hallway. After seven months there were several areas where the boards were separating and gaps were showing. I was advised by customer service at the Home Service Store that the installer warranties the installation for a period of one (1) year, and to call them to come out and repair the gaps. I called Frank Dinelli four (4) times, left messages and did not receive a call back. Finally, I sent a certified letter explaining the situation. Three weeks after the letter Frank called, agreed to come out and look over the problem. After inspection he stated the floor had shifted a bit and that to fix it he would have to install another transition. He agreed to do the work, and I went out and purchased the additional piece. That was in March 2016. After numerous calls and left messages, Frank continues to ignore the messages. He has not called back, and at this time I have no reason to believe that he will call or perform the repair to the floor that he installed.

I was satisfied and I will give a positive feedback and they were really good. They were very professional and they did a really quick, clean and good job. They worked for three days and it looks very good. They were punctual and they worked very quickly and gave us good advice too about things that we should do and not do and how to take care of the floor. For the price, they really did a good job.

Arrived as scheduled. Made accommodations to our schedule. Moved all furniture out of rooms then returned to original positions - took care to prevent damage to items. Friendly employees. Excellent job of cutting wood around irregularities in fireplace. Floors look great! I have seen no issues with the installation. I did not realize that they were not going to remove the baseboard trim and reapply it on top of the new flooring. (It was not included in the contract). The only thing I would have done differently is ask for pictures for options on handling the transition from tile areas to the wood areas. It would be very helpful to have those kinds of photos available to customers who have never had a wood floor installed. It would serve as a good tool for communicating expectations - not a complaint, but a recommendation to improve customer experience.

Terrible.....we met Frank and liked him during the estimate part of the flooring installation. My husband and I like to use individual owners so that we know who we are dealing with. I asked him point blank...are you the one going to do the work......Frank answered "I will do the work since it's my company" I asked...are there any subcontractors and he assured me no as he was a "one man show". We decided on a date in April. To save money we removed all the furniture in the living room and dining room and jammed everything in the basement. On the day before he was supposed to start I even txted him and reconfirmed his arrival (this was Sunday morning April 21st) Frank answered, Yes see you in the morning....so my husband and some movers put all our furniture into garage and basement. About 8:30 PM that evening, Frank called again and started to explain how his crew chief was showing up tomorrow morning as Frank had a job that he didn't realize wasn't completed.......hhhmmmm...a one man show and he doesn't realize a job has'nt been completed? Plus we had reconfirmed that same morning....what happened in the ten hours between to change the plans. We had locked into this date for about three weeks in advance. So iI say, we hired you Frank and we want you on the job....Frank proceeeded to get extremely aggressive and shouted that he had to finsih this job and if I insisted that he be there then he would do the job in May. Now maybe most folks might be intimidated by talk like this plus on top of all that we were sitting in our basement with all our stuff piled around us. My husband and I asked again that he honor the date he agreed upon and he kept insisting and I will quote him verbatim "He is I, he is I...." (I guess he was trying to insist that his crew chief was him but both my husband and I got the impression that he found a bigger and better job and then sub contracted our smaller job out.) Frank was verbally abusive on the phone and if I didn't know any better appeared to be impaired. After 15 minutes of Frank attempting to bully us into his "new arrangement" WE FIRED HIM. His behavior was horrible. We reported him to the Home Store which does the financing for Lumber Liqidators and they found us another installer who was kind enough to assist us in getting our floor put down that week. We received an a sincere apology from both Lumber Liquidators and the Home Store Finance company. Luckily I had saved some of the txt messages that Frank sent after we fired him and was able to relay those to the corporate offices.
