It looks great, I couldn't be happier with the outcome of the floor.

We were moving into a new home and the floors needed to be restained. We also had plans to extend the wood into several additional areas that were previously carpeted. Daniel provided a very reasonable estimate, and he held to that amount to the very end. The project had its ups and downs, but all issues we did encounter were handled to our satisfaction. Areas Daniel and his team went above and beyond: Overall quality of the job and expertise - the floors look absolutely beautiful, especially the stairs. Where he could have installed boards that were less wide, Daniel and his team installed gorgeous full planks on the stairs. Daniel also expertly matched the existing wood with no problem. Additionally, we wanted a different color stain than the original - we showed photos of the color we were going after, and instead of just offering one or two choices, Daniel provided 7 - yes 7 - different choices. That blew us away, and we appreciated the additional work he went to to mix different stains. We ran into a few problems coordinating the work and the timing with other contractors who were working in our house, but we worked through those issues. We did have to do some follow-up regarding the carpet to wood transitions, but, again, Daniel followed through. There was an issue with one of the stair posts, and the first installation was not to our satisfaction. After working with Daniel, the fix was made, and he had advised what the most professional look would be - and he was correct. I have referred friends to Daniel as I feel his quality of work is excellent, and the pricing very fair. I will use him again in the future.

We have had our floors refinished twice before and this job is much superior over the other two companies', one of which is highly rated on Angie's List. In addition, the new flooring is so expertly laced into the old that no one could ever tell where one stops and the other begins. Daniel takes much pride in the high quality work his company performs and he is an artist at heart. As a result, the finish and color matching are absolutely gorgeous. The work started on time and ended one day before promised. I appreciated that Daniel responded quickly to all my questions and concerns. As a bonus, he is a very nice person. I fully plan to use European Hardwood Floors again next year on another project.

Daniel stopped by a few hours after I reached out to him. We had a fire at our home, and the insurance company needed some numbers asap. He provided us with a competitive estimate 24 hours after his first visit and got the job. He was pleasant, open minded and patient, letting us try out several different colors of stains and finishes. He kindly complied with all the paperworks needed for the insurance company and did an excellent job. The floors were ready earlier than we expected and the result is absolutely perfect. He agreed on adjusting some details I asked for and always did his best in a very reactive way. His crew is doing an excellent job : polite, punctual, professional. Daniel is always easy to get in touch with, very good with communication and keeping a schedule on time. Thank you so much. If only all the contractors were doing such a good job !

The proprietor, Daniel, called me back right away and came to give me an estimate the next day. I received the quote in several days and the price was competitive. I had read other reviews and decided to choose this company. They started work after about one week since I needed time to round up people to help me move the furniture out of the way. The wood was delivered several days prior to the start of installation. The men who did the installation were courteous, professional and punctual. They did a beautiful job lacing the new boards into the existing boards in the front hall and in the kitchen. The stairs look amazing. Everything was sanded and refinished, and you'd never know the floors weren't all installed at the same time. We also decided to replace the metal heat vent covers with matching wooden ones. I'm glad we did. They look very nice. After they were finished they cleaned up and hooked up any applicances that had to be disconnected to do the job. I highly recommend European Hardwood Flooring.

We've worked with European Hardwoods multiple times to refinish oak floors in a 1924 bungalow and install of over 1,500 feet of bamboo flooring in a 1954 mid-century modern. Two very different projects, but the floors turned out beautifully on both projects. Work was completed on time for very reasonable price. What sets European Hardwoods apart is their precise attention to detail and their excellent customer service. Daniel was there every step of the way, answering questions and giving me updates. He also bent over backwards to purchase the bamboo flooring at the best price possible saving me at least $2 per square feet from the retail price. We've referred many friends to European Hardwoods and Daniel has taken very good care of them. I tend to be very picky when it comes to my selection of contractors. I would not hesitate to use European Hardwoods again.

Overall, it went pretty darned well. The quote process went smoothly. There were a few hiccups in scheduling the work--emails went unanswered until after the date I had proposed had passed but not so much as to make me give up on working it out eventually. Two workers--not Daniel--showed up the morning the work was scheduled to begin and they got right down to business with hammering and sanding and hammering and sanding. It was loud! I was suprised when, at 5:00, they said they'd be back tomorrow to apply the third coat; I had expected it to be done that day. But the finishing up went pretty quickly and, really, I just love the way the floor looks--and there was no unpleasant smell while the finish was fresh.

Our 30 year-old house has oak floors, with a classic honey tone finish. It was well worn and 10 years overdue for refinishing. Daniel and his crew were very professional. He came by for a quote - on time. They accommodated our needs to do the project while we were out of town on vacation. (what better time to do a project like this than when you aren't home?). They sanded down the old finish and applied a new Swedish finish - 3 coats. The natural color of the wood really brightens up the place (and makes our cabinets look dated). The finish is perfect, the trim is perfect. The final price was exactly what was quoted, to the penny. The job was done exactly as we agreed, including sanding up to baseboards but not removing them. (my choice). The sanding was so good, I can't tell that it isn't the original finish. The only thing to note is that Daniel does respond quickly if you phone or text him. Overall, the floors are beautiful and in many ways the service provider went beyond what I expected. They made process relatively painless--Daniel and his crew were pleasant and cooperative, and they moved our furniture in and out of the house (at additional but reasonable cost) so that we didn't have to hire another company to do this for us. They fixed the cover to the crawlspace, which had been damaged by a previous hardwood floor installer.

We were on a tight timeline to get our floors finished. We needed to get them done in 4 day window and they certainly succeeded in meeting our request. The crew was very polite and I could tell that they pushed hard to get it done when we requested. The floors far exceeded my expectations. I don't know if I have ever seen real hardwood floors look this nice. The Swedish Finish was certainly the way to go. Daniel recommended it and it was certainly the best option. I was concerned about the floors having a yellowish look to them so I almost had them stained before he refinished them. I decided not to do any staining and am very happy I made this decision because there is no stain that will take the place of the natural finish that we have on our floors. I would also like to add that Daniel was very cooperative and accommodating through the whole process. We did this work as part of a FHA 203k Loan which requires a lot of upfront paper work for the Contractors. Daniel gladly did his part and was very professional through the whole process. Daniel was a pleasure to work with. Very professional and thorough. The work was done perfectly and I am very pleased with the outcome. You cannot tell where the existing floor ends and the new part begins. The dust was kept to a very minimum and all finshing work was perfect. If I ever decide to do the two small remaining bedrooms, I will certainly call Daniel and his crew!

Daniel came out and inspected the damage and gave us an estimate to repair. His crew came out several days later after the floor was completely dry and replaced the bad boards. They then stained and finished the floor and made sure it was blended into the other boards in the kitchen. His crew is excellent and do a fantastic job. I would recommend them very highly.

This is the third time I've used European Hardwood Floors. They are the best. They're punctual and professional and they communicate regularly as they're working on the project. I'm very impressed with every aspect of their operation. When we move to Oregon, I'm going to find a way to get them to install the floors in our new house. Yes, they're just that good. Their work is top of the line and I wouldn't use anyone else. Their prices are very reasonable, too. It's a pleasure to recommend them.

I used the services of European Hardwood Floors in 2007 and was extremely pleased with their work. This time, they provided the same outstanding service. Daniel came out and gave me an estimate shortly after I contacted him and the work began the following Monday. All three of the workers, George, Edward and Gabriel, were very pleasant and professional. Their work is impeccable and we are very happy with the results. I'm very particular about the way work is done and I highly recommend this company.

It was a good experience. They gave us good advice. We had a concrete slab and they said that it wasn't a good thing to put hardwood on concrete so I appreciate their expertise.

We could not have been more pleased with the results of our remodeling! We are new to the area so selecting a contractor was a bit of work. When we contacted European Hardwood Flooring, they returned our call promptly and we were able to set up an appointment within a few days. We received the quote a few hours after the appointment and was very pleased to learn that it was right in our budget. These guys are true proffesionals! They really do quality work! Very accomodating, given our crazy work schedules. The 1st floor of our house looks amazing! They paid great attention to detail. No sloppy work! Our flooring was installed pretty fast. They kept our house very clean throughout the project and they also kept us informed on the progress every step of the way. They even provided some very cool ideas for what was supposed to be a "future house project" and now my husband is thinking of taking on right away. Overall, this is a great company to do business with. I would recommend them any time.

They did not show up or call, No work done. But I later got an apology email. We are all human. I appreciated the apology and quick offer to reschedule.

Daniel was extremely prompt and very professional in his approach towards the job. His crew finished the project 2 days in advance of the promised date. The quality of work was excellent and we are extremely satisfied with the work. As explained earlier this was a part new installation and part refinishing the existing hardwood job. Initially we were planning to replace our existing hardwood with a new one. However Daniel advised us not to remove our existing hardwood (since he pointed out that it was the finest quality red oak hardwood) and instead just did a great refinish job on it (sanding and staining) so that it looked contiguous and consistent with the newly installed hardwood. This reduced the cost of the project significantly!

Overall, Daniel and his team where on point, efficient, and left us with some great looking hardwood floors. Daniel came out to our house, gave us an estimate, and then had no issues with waiting up to 6 months before we were ready to start the actual work. When we were ready to start the work, we met up and discussed color, and set a date. When the time came, no balls were dropped, he and his team came in and finished the work within schedule. We are very happy with the results and are looking forward to having him and his team come back to the house and do some more work for us as soon as we are ready! Unlike other contractors I have dealt with in the past, there were no hassles. When he said he would be there, he was there. Even if he ran into the slightest bit of bad traffic, he gave me a call to warn me he might be a little late, even though he showed up on time anyway. The biggest take away for me was that Daniel really cares about his work and puts pride behind the quality of work his team produces and it shows!

Daniel and his crew are some of the best home repair/improvement people I've ever worked with. Daniel is responsive, prompt and incredibly polite and happy to provide top quality service. He responded quickly to an inquiry for an estimate to repair and refinish the flooring in my house that had been damaged by water. He replies quickly to emails and phone calls. I had a very large job. He gave me a very fair and detailed estimate. I wanted to wait several months to have it done and he reserved the week for my job. Along the way he dropped off samples of floor stains so I could review the choices (many many choices!!). He and his crew arrived promptly to start the job. The estimate included moving the furniture and removing the toilet and sink. His crew did everything as carefully as if it was their own stuff. They didn't leave a scratch or mark on any walls during the moving. The time estimate was spot on. The job was done superbly and my floors look incredible. The clean up was impeccable. They cleaned my place up better than I could! It was as if I moved into a brand new place! Finally, Daniel provides second to none in quality service. Since it took all week to do the job and I was desperate to do my laundry, he brought a crew over on Sunday to move my washer and dryer back in the house.

That's how you want any remodeling job to go, everything was on schedule and in the budget. Daniel worked with me on the scheduling every step of the process (because there were other remodeling activities happening in the house), he was patient and understanding and the job was done perfectly. The result is awesome, there is no difference between the newly installed hardwood and the existing one, the best looking floor a have ever seen.

They installed red oak flooring in our formal dining room and up 2 flights of stairs as well as a long hallway. They matched our existing flooring exactly. They were on time and cleaned up as they went.

This was a positive experience from stem to stern. The crew showed up on time every day. I never observed any of them taking breaks - they seemed to work non-stop. They covered all our cabinetry, countertops, fireplace, etc., with plastic to protect them from the dust. Their work was impeccable - we're absolutely thrilled with the new look. The crew was very courteous and responsive to my questions. The job was finished on time. Although the job entailed some unexpected expenses (added lumber and labor on the stairs), the owner didn't add those expenses to the final bill. (I did throw in a tip.) I would recommend this company to anyone looking for hardwood floors. I've had several negative experiences with contractors - this was a very pleasant one.

If anyone is looking for a professional company to refinish and or install new hardwood contact European Hardwood Flooring. I contacted Daniel who immediately responded and came out to learn what we needed. Besides refinishing existing hardwood we wanted to continue the hardwood into the dining and kitchen area. But the difficult part was, earlier this year we removed the carpet off of our stairs and we installed hardwood ( by a different contractor) so the new floors need to match the new stairs. Besides refinishing and installing new hardwood Daniel did a fantastic job of making sure that the new floor stain color matched the stair stain color. Daniel and his team were on time, on budget, did a great job of cleaning up and they are nicest group of people to work with. I would truly recommend European Hardwood Flooring.
