We are very pleased with European Hardwood Floors. The refinished floors and new heat vents look great. Everyone at the company conducted themselves professionally. They returned my call requesting an estimate within a day, showed up to give the estimate when promised, scheduled my job at a time I requested, started and finished my job on time. The work crew was polite, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. They complied well to my request that they mask off with plastic my new kitchen cabinets and the rooms/stairs adjoining the kitchen/entry way to contain the dust. They took care to close up my house after each day's work. I felt that my home was in good hands with trustworthy people. We especially like the new wood heat vents and are glad the company suggested them. The pricing was very competitive and the service even better. We would highly recommend this company.

Daniel was excellent to work with. He even helped me move some of the furniture. The quality of the work was excellent and was done on time.

Daniel was engaged to refinish all the hardwood floors in a house we have just purchased. Included in the work was the replacement of some boards which had suffered some water damage and others which had been earlier replaced with the wrong variety of timber. He was very accommodating of our relatively tight schedule and assured us that within the week or so available before we moved into our house, that he would be able to complete the refinishing of the floors. Daniel was one of two contractors who provided us with a price for the project (both based on recommendations from Angie's List) and came in the more competitive of the two. I had no hesitation in engaging him based on his history on Angie's List and was more than satisfied with the service he provided. His contractors were very courteous and professional and even went beyond the scope of work originally agreed upon and identified and replaced some additional boards without additional cost. True to their word, they completed the work on time and I was exceedingly happy with the outcome. The floors have an entirely new lease of life and look superb with the Matt Swedish finish Daniel recommended. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Daniel and his contractors and wish them well in the future.

A great job. We were on a tight deadline, trying to get the job done between the date we closed on this house and moved in, a week later. Daniel was great at communicating throughout the process. He assured me they could get done in the time we had, and they did. Workers did a great job, worked late in the day to make sure it was done in time. Floors are very nice. When I arrived day after it was supposed to be done, two wooden vents had not been installed yet, but Daniel got right on it, got someone back out to the house to take care of it. Crew cleaned up, everything looked great when they were finished. The job cost the same as the estimate, except for a few purchases Daniel had to make -- a few sheets of plywood and some molding that needed to be replaced, and wooden vents, which weren't on the original estimate, but I wanted.

They arrived on time, the job did not go over the bid, and they were quite friendly. The floors are lovely.

Daniel did an amazing job! He got me a good deal on the wood and I didn't pay for leftovers. He allowed for the wood to acclimatize to the temperature and humidity so there would be no warping after installation. Once that got going, he put in extra time to finish a few days before my family was scheduled to move into the house. He went out of his way to fix a piece of sub floor that had been damaged by moisture, and explained the consequences of leaving the sub floor uninsulated. He completed within the time he estimated for the job and cleaned up nicely after everything was done; I was away at the time. I am extremely pleased with the professionalism and the quality of the work. I won't think twice about employing European Hardwood Floors for my stairs.

Daniel came over to measure and was very quick to add up the square footage of all the rooms. His was the only bid out of 3 that wasn't on the spot (he emailed me 3 days later), but it was a nice Excel sheet that itemized everything. His was the lowest price, but since he had gotten such great reviews on Angie's List, that didn't worry me. They were able to get started about 1.5 weeks later and took about 1 week to finish the job. Partway through, they asked me to take a look at a board that had been on top of the carpet leading right next to a sliding glass door. Without the carpet there, it would be a tripping hazard. So I asked them to cut it out and they installed a new board that was flush with the existing flooring. You'd never know it wasn't part of the rest of the flooring. They did a great job and the floors look great. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone for the quality of their work, Daniel's friendliness and responsiveness, and their very good price.

We discovered there were hardwood floors underneath the carpets in the bedrooms. We had Daniel come and give us an estimate and asked about refinishing the lower floor which had a stain on it. He gave us an excellent estimate and they sanded and applied 3 coats of finish. We were moving into our new home and he was able to come and do the job before we moved in. We are very happy with our beautiful floors! What a difference refinishing them made to our home.

The job went very well. The floors are gorgeous. We left for 2 weeks. On our return they moved the furniture back in and reinstalled the doors. They are hard workers, do an outstanding job and are very pleasant and considerate. Daniel even hand delivered some symphony tickets that I forgot about. I highly recommend European Hardwood Floors.

Daniel came out to the house as scheduled to provide an estimate. There were several other contractors there at the time providing estimates for other jobs as well as other flooring refinishers. He quickly did his measurements, asked me a few questions and was gone within a few minutes. He emailed his bid to me within a few days as promised. I was a little concerned because his bid was the least expensive and in general, I avoid the lowest bid when having work done. However, his was also the most professional and legible. Since his previous Angie's List reviews were positive, I took a chance and could not be happier. They arrived on time on the first day of work and worked long days for the entire project. The project finished on time and the floor is gorgeous. All in all this was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had with a contractor.

I was very pleased with their services. Daniel along with the crew performed the job. They were extremely cautious. The bid was very reasonable. They work tirelessly and completed really good work.

He did the work while we were traveling. Came back and it was done. He was always on time. Daniel and his guys helped us move our furniture out and put it back. He was pleasant, punctual, professional and cheaper than some other bids. I had told him to leave the scrap because I'd use it as firewood, and after the job was done he stopped by with some more scrap from another job.

We are very happy with Daniel's work. There was a crew of between 1-3 workers in addition to Daniel working on our home. All of the workers were very courteous and extremely efficient. We had concerns about the quantity of Dust generated by the process as we had recently had most of the interior of the house repainted and were dreading the thought of either repainting or damp wiping the whole house. Daniel's crew draped plastic sheeting through out the house closing off and isolating the areas that could be impacted. Daniel worked with us schedule wise to minimize the impact on us. The job started on a Wednesday with sanding, removal of baseboards and plastic sheeting. The Crew stayed 12 hours leaving at 8:30 PM. I asked Daniel if they could work on Thursday and try to get the 3 coats of Swedish finish applied between Friday and Saturday so we could get back into the house Monday Morning. Daniel came through and the floors look great and there was very little dust!

Daniel returned our call quickly and came out promptly to provide a detailed estimate. We got three bids for the job, one for $12,500, a second for $10,650, and Daniel's for $7,235. Daniel's bid also included a higher grade of wood and 3 coats of finish instead of 2. He started work when he said he would and finished on time and on budget. He was very easy to deal with, polite and his crew worked long hours and did excellent work. I highly recommend him.

I was informed when I called today (31 July 2007) to enquirer about getting a new estimate that they were completely booked up and not taking or estimating new jobs.

Daniel is wonderful and did a terrific job with our floors. His price was great, and he worked extremely hard to finish the job in the time frame he originally gave me even though I added a set of stair treads and asked him to do some other demo work. The floors are beautiful, and I can't say enough great things about European Hardwood Flooring. I will recommend him to all my family and friends, and will use him again and again for future work in my business of remodeling houses.

Fantastic! Daniel was such a pleasant surprise. On budget (and the least expensive of the three contractors we received quotes from) and done a week early even after we decided to add the stair replacement to the scope of our project midway through it! We checked out several references of theirs before agreeing to move forward. Every reference had great things to say about Daniel and his work. Daniel is a true artist and it shows in his work. We've received compliments on our floors/stairs from several other contractors who've come through our house to perform other work. Overall, I'd use them again without hesitating. Couldn't have asked for more really. I only wish the contractors we've used for other work on our house were as easy to work with as Daniel. Did I mention that he answered the phone EVERY time I called him over the course of our job?

Great experience. Daniel, the company owner, is responsive and polite. He returns phone calls promptly and does what he says he will do. He is a delight to work with, his prices are very reasonable and the floors are absolutely beautiful. He worked very hard to finish on time because he know I had my animals in a kennel and I was in a hotel. There were several surprises with regard to the condition of the floors that had been under carpet. This meant he had to spend more time than originally expected, but Daniel stuck by his original bid price. I highly recommend this company.

Daniel and his associate, Adrian, were amazing. I told them that we wanted to get started in December, but we had to delay until March for the install. They were very graceful and understanding. They were on-time, all the time. Daniel showed up on time (or early) to every meeting we had. He was also very flexible when I needed to reschedule. They were professional. They were very concerned with our specific preferences for the install. The repeatedly asked if their work was to our liking. They are true craftsmen. Our floors look amazing. Every detail has been attended to. We did not have to ask them to fix any of their work. If you need your floors installed or refinished, you must use this company!
