Daniel and his team did a great job. New floor looks great and matches the existing floors in the house very well. They stayed on schedule. He was available right away for any of my questions. The only hiccup we had was failing to put enough dust barriers the first day of installation leading to the house having a layer of dust everywhere -- I talked to them and they both installed the needed barriers right away and dusted/cleaned the house the following morning before started work. I would highly recomend them if you need flooring work done.

Quality service with great communication.

Contacted Alex and over the weekend and received a response on Monday. We arranged for Alex to come and take measurements and provide an two estimates. One, for the cost of replacing all of our flooring with new flooring, and two, removing carpet only and matching existing hardwood with new hardwood. We received the estimates by email within the next week. In the meantime, we had also contacted another flooring company that had come recommended to us and had an estimate as well. Both were competitive bids, but the recommendation of our friend helped tip the scale. Based on our interaction with Alex, I would recommend European Hardwood as being courteous, professional and a valid option.

A crew of about 4 guys showed up on the first day, they were not only on time, but they helped me remove the last couple of pieces of furniture from the rooms that were to be refinished. They started the refinishing process and I had to return to work. I left a house key with the team leader and for the next couple of days the crew showed up in the mornings, let themselves in, and when I came home in the evenings I was blown away at the changes in the floor. It took a full day and a half just to sand the floor down, but these guys were pros and it was all very contained and surprisingly clean. The first coat of finish was on by the end of the second day and I could not believe it was the same wood floor. After the refinishing was complete we realized we needed quarter round to finish the moulding and fill the gap to the floor that used to be filled with nasty carpet. Daniel came out and measured and the member of his team that came out to do the molding was meticulous and his work outstanding. We couldn't be more pleased! Daniel is a true professional who communicates well and is reliable. We hired him to do a job for us when we were still living out of state. We gave him a very tight timeline before we were scheduled to move in to the home and he finished the job even earlier than promised. We trusted him and his crew wlth our house keys and he did not let us own. He was extremely careful and made sure he fully understood the job beforehand, and called us with questions while the job was in progress. We hired him because he seemed to be very honest, have great taste and provided very good pricing. He lived up to our assumptions and is also a very nice person to work. Our floors are gorgeous and we are so glad we found such a hardworking, meticulous person. We highly recommend Daniel and European Hadwood Flooriing r to anyone with a hardwood floor project.

The owner came out and gave the free estimate which also included a Senior Discount of $50. One of the assistants, however, actually did the sanding and finishing of the oak floor in our kitchen. Though a young man he was totally professional and polite and worked constantly the full two days it took to do the job. He was neat and cleaned up before ending each day making sure everything was left orderly. He was a perfectionist! We absolutely loved the finish and have had so many compliments from friends. Without a doubt we highly recommend European Hardwood Flooring. We're now thinking of doing our dining room and living room and if we do we will certainly call them back!

Daniel and his crew provided the best quote of the 3 we received. We hired them based on Angie's List reviews and the lowest quote. When the start date rolled around I hadn't heard anything so I called Daniel. It turned out he'd been in a car accident and was going to be starting the job late. I started to get worried here since we hadn't dealt with them before. We didn't want them to rush the job, and starting late was OK with us. Daniel came to our next appointment in a rented car with a limp, showing me pictures of his car crash. All you need to know about Daniel is, he's a guy who's more worried about your floors than his car crash. We talked over a new schedule and they started a few days later. The crew was prompt, professional and did excellent work. They were great to deal with and made sure the work was done right. Daniel took the time to make sure we had the correct color and finish we wanted, running off to get more samples and making sure we were happy before the stain went down. The finished floors are excellent, the clean-up was complete and we couldn't be happier. I highly recommend European Hardwood.

We received two quotes for the job. Daniel was competitively priced and by far the most responsive to our calls, needs, and concerns. We had our first quote within 24 hours of contacting him and he was more than willing to return to re-quote the job when we decided not to include the stairs. The crew was friendly and did a great job. Daniel made several visits to make sure we were happy with the progress and answer any questions. He personally applied the first coat of finish on a holiday weekend. One thing that was amazing was that he called that holiday night to express concern that my daughter's fish might not fare well in the house after the finish was applied. The tank easily weighs 400# and was not going to move. Daniel took the time to help "tent" the tank in plastic with a fresh air feed from the window. The fish did fine, but Daniel lost at least another hour of his holiday. The floors look great. You cannot tell where the new flooring begins and ends in relation to the existing floor. My father in law works construction and agrees that the job was done beautifully. Daniel could have simply invoiced us for the final payment, but instead chose to come out last night to make sure we were happy. I know there may be concerns contracting with smaller companies, but I don't think you can miss with these guys. They are passionate about quality work and making sure their customers are happy.

From start to finish it was a pleasure working with European Hardwood Flooring. Daniel (the owner) provided the estimate and answered all my questions. He is very knowledgeable regarding flooring and you can tell by talking with him that he takes pride in his work. If not available immediately, he always promptly returned my phone calls. The work crew performed the job on time and as specified . The refinished floor looks great...maybe even better than when it was first installed 22 years ago!

Left a message for an estimate. Daniel called back that same day and made an appointment to come out. He never showed up or called to say he couldn't make it. Update: Daniel made a visit out to my house to apologize for not showing up. He had a family emergency to deal with and could not find my number to reschedule the appointment; which I believe if I was in his shoes I would have put my family first as well. I felt like he was very sincere and I appreciated the effort he made to try and make things right!

It was a great experience. It was as expected, on time, and we really enjoyed working with them.

We went with Daniel with European Hardwood Floors because his price seemed reasonable, his promises were right on, and we felt enough trust to leave our new house in his hands for a few days. Daniel completed the work in the time frame he estimated and there were no surprises other than the quality - the floors look even better than we expected! This guys were great. We needed the job done quickly as we were moving into the house on Saturday and we called them on the Monday before...so they had less than a week to complete it. It was roughly 800 sq ft they had to do...very quickly. And they did it! Looks fabulous and Daniel (very nice young fella who is the owner, I believe) worked with us on the price to get it where we needed it to be. Any business owner that will work with a client on price is someone who wants a return customer. And we will hire Daniel and his team again when we decide to redo the hardwoods downstairs. My ONLY issue with the installation was I don't think they sealed off the work area very well when they were sanding. We found wood dust on pretty much every surface upstairs. Not a HUGE deal, but that's why I had to downgrade them to a "B" for quality of workmanship. This could have been because they had to work so fast...maybe. That said, we will hire them again and just ask for better prep/containment before they sand.

We were building a 4500 s.f. home. I found European Hardwoods through Angies list and was very impressed with the great reviews. I got an estimate and asked for references and phoned and spoke with several people before deciding to go with them. I was overall very satisfied and pleased with the level of expertise Daniel was able to provide. He was very easy to work with and really wants to do a good job. We were pressed for time to have our floors stained and sealed with the first coat. Daniel worked until midnight just to get it done for us so that we can proceed with having our cabinets installed. I would highly recommend using him and if I had another flooring project to do, I would only use European Hardwoods.

I selected Daniel Salgau on Angle's list as a result of his dominant "A" ratings. I was a bit apprehensive that my floor refinishing job would be too small for him, but he was quite pleased to give me a professional estimate, after looking at the kitchenette floor in my condo. It had more wear than I would have guessed possible before I looked carefully at it. Daniel and I agreed on a date for the floor to be sanded and refinished, using the Swedish finish that I'm told is the industry standard today. His crew came in and performed the work as requested, and the floor couldn't have been more beautiful after they'd completed it. I count Daniel's folks work as utterly professional, in keeping with his own comportment as the public presenter of his company. I'll have him do a much bigger job for me in my own kitchen when I'm ready to undertake that job.

I had a small floor repair to fix a couple of holes in my hardwood floors (don't ask how I go the holes in the first place). Daniel showed up when scheduled to look at the job. He sent what I felt was a reasonable quote a few days later. When I gave him the job his workers showed up a bit late, but I think traffic delayed them. They did the work work quickly and competently. They cleaned up after themselves and the job was finished in about 6 hours including the 3 coats of finish. I would recommend European Floors to others.

From the first phone call when Daniel answered immediately on a Sunday (The owner - not an answering service!), the team at European Harwood Floors exceeded expectations. On time, courteous, with frequent and informative communiation about the project details. The team had a pride of craftsmanship and quality that you don't often experience anymore. As an example, even though the floors were only installed upstairs, the team cleaned the entire downstairs of our home including washing the windows when closing out the project! Further, they even touched up the walls with spackle and paint in several places. We had used another local hardwood floor company in the past for our home, and they weren't even close to European Hardwood Floors.

Daniel and his team were very polite, professional and punctual. From getting the bid to the completion of the work. They returned the floors to their original state and they are absolutely stunning! They were easy to work with and I'd highly recommend them to anyone considering refinishing their floors. They will definitely be my "go-to" floor people in the future!

We hired Daniel for our new hard wood flooring for the second floor, living room and to sand our old hard wood floor on the first floor. Since we have had quite a few bad experiences with home remolding, we didn?t have too big of an expectation on Daniel, but we really have to say that Daniel was the best contractor we have ever met. His crew came around 8:30 every day, and stay as late as 8:00 so we could have our painting job started on time. They always tried to help us to save money (suggested we use old base board and fixed our uneven floor for free.) They did an amazing solid job and our floor is looking beautiful. The most impressive thing is Daniel?s communication; he always answered our emails promptly and with great courtesy. We can?t say enough the good things about our hardwood floor and Daniel?s team. We give him two thumbs way up and for his great job. Well done, Daniel. We highly recommend Daniel; you will not be disappointed with his work.

Daniel and his crew did an excellent job! Daniel is very easy to work with and came through on everything he promised to do. His crew works hard and are all very professional and very polite. We are especially pleased with the attention to quality right down to the smallest details. I was most pleased with boards that were fit and cut around corners, odd wall angles, and up against adjoining tile floors and the fireplace. They all fit perfect and properly. We are most pleased that the area where the new floor was woven/laced into the existing floor came out perfect! In this area the room is about 14 feet wide. Once the floor was installed sanded and finished I scrutinized the entire 14 foot area on my hands and knees and can barely tell new from old. It is an absolute match in color, finish and staggering of the joints. Without going into pages of details, the job came out exactly as promised and as we had envisioned. We will not hesitate to to contact Daniel about future flooring needs. We highly recommend Daniel and his crew.

We had Daniel and his wife come out to give us a bid on our hardwood floors last summer after we had just moved into our home. He gave us a bid, but let us know we had some warping due to water (he thinks from our crawl space where there had been standing water before our purchase) and that we should wait until it evened out before doing the floors. We called again in the winter and he came out to make sure floors were okay to do-they were, so we scheduled it for February when we'd be out of town for a few days. Daniels workers did a FANTASTIC job of covering up our furniture and taping off with plastic sheeting areas of the house that weren't going to be done. They were polite, respectful and cleaned up each day. Our floors turned out better than we had expected and have passed his name onto friends who have also used his company. We would definitely use European Hardwood floors again without hesitation. I had 3 other bids besides Daniel's and his was the least expensive...it definitely doesn't mean the quality was lacking. His work was impeccible.
