Erik McDaniels is very detail-oriented and precise with placement of new gutters and downspouts. He solved a complicated problem at one area with ease and expertise. Their patented drain system has really helped our steep roof drainage that water literally pours off of in heavy rains.

Excellent team of workers. Polite and friendly. Arrived on time and finished within the allotted time. Don Kerr came out earlier and gave us an estimate and even though his team hadn't seen it, and charged the regular price, Dan honored it and is refunding the overcharge. I would gladly work with them again.

No show. I waited for 2 hours past our appointment time.

First they were very responsive after receiving my online request for a bid. The bid was completed by Shane, and he was professional and resourceful upon viewing the house and providing the bid with an option to have a leaf drop outlet installed. I liked that he could provide a written estimate at the time of the visit, along with the pamphlet of colors available, and no heavy sales pitch to use their service. Once I called to schedule the work, Shane had it scheduled within days. Eric and his team started the work and didn't stop until the job was completed. They were organized, efficient, left no debris behind., and were courteous and knowledgeable about color selection and gutter maintenance. The gutters look excellent and have already been rain tested, working perfectly!

Excellent. While two other Angie's List A-rated local companies failed to show up or return calls for estimates, presumably because it was not the whole house that needed work, Kerr Gutters came through with flying colors. From first phone contact to final clean-up they were first-class.

It took forever but they sent me an email bill and I haven't heard from them again. There were additional charges of $200. It seems like a lot to me. I gave them a C for responsiveness because it took forever to hear from them. They showed up when they said they would. I probably would use them again in future but, I would look at others first.

We're really happy with the gutters. They look great and do the job. Our old gutters weren't adequate and the new gutters and downspouts take all of the water without overflowing. The workers were really nice to deal with. They came on time and finished the job when they said they would. After the gutters were up, they walked me around to be sure I was satisfied with the job. And they cleaned up all of the debris and old gutter materials. I had a few questions after the crew left and my questions were answered promptly. The crew leader assured me I could call with any questions and that the work was warranted. We're definitely happy with the gutters!

Owner very prompt for walk around appointment. I was impressed by the company's own design innovations to increase the efficiency and decrease maintenance. This was the main selling point for me, and Angie's List review. The original install date needed to be rearranged due to circumstances, but the field crew arrived early on the appointed day, worked with zeal, and had the job done and cleaned up in a few hours. The foreman communicated clearly on all aspects of the job. Even adding a custom connection to the carport and providing a can of paint in the event the color of one downspout needs to be changed. The gutter mounting design allows precise adjustment of the water flow, with the foreman checking all around by applying water and making any needed adjustments. It was quick, painless, and professional. Recommended.

not at all punctual BUT the installer did excellent work i really don't know what is an average or fair price for this work but I liked their larger customized product and the Installer was impressively detail oriented. I would recommend to a friend

We had new gutters and downspouts installed after our house was painted. We appreciated Dan's scheduling flexibility as the painting took longer than expected due to rainy weather. We let him know when the paint job was done and Dan's crew arrived the next day. They worked for 6 hours, mostly in hard rain, to get the gutters installed. The did an excellent job and completely cleaned up before leaving. The combination of new paint and gutters has given our house a very updated look.

The gutters on my home were several years old. One had actually fallen away from the roof and others were loose or dented. I found Kerr Gutters on Angie's List and gave them a call. Dan Kerr, the owner, was able to stop by the following day to provide an estimate for repairs. Although he was willing to simply make repairs to the existing gutters, I requested and then accepted a bid for total replacements. After Dan left I realized that I had not discussed an overflow leak from a small gutter and downspout built in to a patio cover at the rear of the house. I emailed Dan about the problem and enclosed a couple of pictures. He advised me that because this gutter was built into the patio cover he couldn't replace it but if it were cleaned out it should work okay. Although it was not in the estimate he agreed to have his crew clean it out at no additional charge. The work was scheduled for February 5th. Dan's crew arrived as scheduled and completed the work within a few hours. They were polite and professional. When they were finished the cleaned up all debris and hauled away all the old gutters and downspouts. The new gutters look good on the house. They are larger than the old ones (more capacity) and all downspouts have leaf traps about two feet above ground level which should simplify clean out.

I purchased a gutter cover system. If you are looking at getting this I would call them first to make sure it's compatible with your roof/gutters. My roof was too steep. While he was looking at the gutters he noticed my roof needed repairs and gave me a bid. I had been having a really hard time getting a roofer to come repair it, so I took him up on it and he applied the credit towards my roof, and got his guys out there before any other roofers responded.

I interviewed 5 contractors from Angieslist with top A review. Dan's bid is the lowest, but with more stuff to offer, including no clog outlet and trap system for about 400 feet long gutters. Usually, I choose a contractor not based on the lowest price. But what Dan did make me choose his company is I think he takes his business very serious. When I schedule app with him, he said he need pick up his children in the afternoon and can't make the trip between Portland and Vancouver if the appt is too late. I think he is a family guy, and for sure will take his business serious. So I stop interviewing more contractors and email him to schedule the job. Everything runs smoothly, we didn't stay at home for the whole project. After job is done, I paid him through online system. He did a walk through and send his guys for some minor change for down sprouts that I didn't notice anything wrong. I can hear my gutters water flowing happily now. Sites keep clean and his team quality work already gain neighbor's business and I also send his information to my friends. Sure, Dan's team is a treasure with A standard to our community.

I had purchased a special deal for $2000: gutter cleaning and MasterShield leaf guard for up to 200 linear feet. When they visited the house, it turns out I didn't have that many linear feet, so I accidentally over purchased for the project. (The money had already been prepaid, note to self for using future Angie's Deals). He inspected the conditions at my house and proposed a different solution anyway, since MasterShield woudn't have been effective. The wider downspouts and leaf trap at the bottom made sense, so I took him up on his counter-offer solution. I have no idea if $2000 was overpaying or underpaying or just about right for the solution he finally installed. uThree months and many rainstorms later, the new gutters are a huge improvement over the bad old days. I still need to be careful to clean the downspots regularly because even these high-capacity models can't keep up with the tree debris on my property. Nevertheless, I can't complain about any problems in the project and the price was what I said I'd pay. :-)

Dan Kerr was professional, and really great to work with. He made a thorough inspection of the roof; he was one of the few from whom we gathered an estimate who actually got up on the roof to inspect the condition of the roof. He set an approximate date, depending on weather since it was mid November, and firmed the schedule once a clear week was confirmed. The crew was very considerate, prompt, and made the experience less intrusive than it could have been. They cleaned up their work daily, and the final result was exactly what we requested. The price was appropriate. We would most definitely hire Dan and his team again.

The owner worked very well with our contractor to coordinate the gutter installation. The gutters that they installed are specially designed so they do not clog. The design works really well for our home that sits under many large trees. The gutter downspouts have an easy to clean system that has already captured many needles and leaves, but the water continues to flow to the drain in the ground. Also, the owner recommended black gutters so they would blend into the roof. I was skeptical but he was absolutely right. You can barely tell they are there and look really good. Another plus was that after the install the owner came back to inspect the work and found a few things he was not happy with (I did not notice). He made sure they all got fixed exactly how he expected them to be and worked again with our contractor to make sure the work was coordinated.

The crew removed my old gutters and installed the new ones while I was at work. When I got home, I was pleasantly surprised with how great the new ones looked, plus there was no debris whatsoever. With the rainy season upon us, I'm so happy to have brand new gutters on my house!

Dan arrived promptly for our appointment. I had rearranged my schedule to be home so I could meet with him at the time he requested. He was polite and seemed knowledgeable. He quickly did a visual inspection of the gutters that he could see from my front door and noted dents on the inside of my gutters and flashing that he claimed had been installed improperly, thereby complicating the job. I responded that we used a very reputable roofing company. He then replied that the issue with the flashing installation was common. He also noted some high gutters on the house and said he might rule out my job due to safety concerns. At this point I was beginning be wary of the information I was receiving. Generally, when a contractor starts the conversation with all the issues your job will present, he or she is just not that interested in taking your job, but tries to make it sound like your job is unusually difficult.. However, I already had two bids from other companies that did not mention anything unusual about my gutters or the job in general. Dan did a quick walk around the house and then told me he would not take the job due to safety concerns. Given that I had rearranged my day to accommodate his schedule, I was obviously not pleased that he so quickly came to that decision. I feel he could have saved both of us some time by asking a few more questions over the phone or offering to do his walk around the house while I was out. My 22 year old house is not unusual, there are many like it in the Portland area. Looking at the Dan's job reviews here, which are mostly excellent, I can see that he tends to take smaller jobs that are probably less challenging than houses like mine. So it appears he just doesn't want this type of work. That's fine, but I feel he could have easily assessed that during our first phone conversation. I also felt his initial professionalism deteriorated a bit toward the end of our short visit. I told him my review would reflect my frustration that his visit was a waste of my time. He replied that he didn't make any money on his visit to my home either, suggesting the visit was a waste of his time. Not the most professional way to end a visit. I followed up Dan's visit with a quick call to another company whose bid I had in hand already. I asked if my house presented any unusual issues and he said no. So I have to conclude that Dan just does not work on large houses with high gutters which he says present a safety issue for his crew. Given the number of houses in the Portland area that look just like mine, he must be turning down a lot of work.

We just had our first major rain storm recently and the gutter pooled at the north end. Scheduling this service was adequate. They were very responsive and thy showed up on time in a satisfactory manner. The result needs to be fixed.

We have lots of pine trees as well as many leafed trees in our yard. We are forever having gutter problems because debris is always clogging the gutters. Dan, the owner, was very helpful in suggesting a new solution for us by using his custom made down spouts and leaf traps. After receiving other bids, we opted for Kerr Gutters because of this innovative option. The work crew, Devon & Chase, arrived on time and began to work right away. They were kind, professional and respectful. They did a great job, they were proud of their work, which showed while they did the walk through with me. Already recommended them to a friend and will continue to recommend Kerr Gutters to anyone looking for a vendor!

The installers were punctual, thorough and professional.

We love this professional and approachable company. Dan Kerr was punctual for our first meeting to provide an estimate and he explained everything in detail. We looked at his website prior to the initial visit and had high expectations, which he exceeded. Every member of the installation crew was friendly, and told us several times that the job wasn't finshed until we were happy. Prior to the install, our house had some construction repair and a brand new paint job. There was some residual debris on our roof, and Devin cleaned it all, before gutter installation began. Our painter did a super job on our house and we were very sensitive about potential scratches or marks from the gutter crew's tall ladders. They used extra padding on the tips and took very good care of our new paint. I really appreciated this. My husband and I enjoyed watching our gutters being assembled on site, and the care that the crew took when handling our new gutters. When the work was completed, and while Shane was still here, I noticed some finger smudges on my beautiful new gutters and Shane was great about cleaning these off for me. Several neighbors stopped by during the work and really liked the hidden screws, leaf traps and the custom outlet near a "leafy" corner of our roof. Today, we are still receiving positive comments. We will recommend Dan Kerr's company to our friends and neighbors because their main concern is our satisfaction. Kudos to Dan, Shane, Devin, Chase and Jeremy. Now I eagerly await a heavy rain to see our new gutters and downspouts in action.

Was extremely pleased with the service we received. They worked with us to get our gutters done in the time frame that we needed. Gutter installation took one day. They even took care installing around my tomato garden. After one year, gutters are holding up great. Thanks so much.
