LeafDrop Gutters & Downspouts

Devin and Josh did an excellent job. They were very thorough and went above and beyond to make sure the new gutter and repairs on old gutters were top notch. There was a bit of delay installing the gutter on front as they did'nt have something they needed to do the mitered corners, but that got resolved and the delay was no problem. The new gutter is higher on the fascia board than the old and the paint in one area was peeling. Devin scraped and painted with gutter paint the peeling area so it would be protected this winter since I probably won't be able to paint it til springtime. The extra touches to make sure I was satisfied was very much appreciated and will definitely make me want to tell other people about them and use them for my gutter and roofing needs in the future.

When I called Kerr Gutters and Roofing I explained that I had a Cape Code house with a very steep roof and a medium to heavy rain always overwhelmed my previous gutters. Let me know that they had a solution for my problem. Initially, I was a bit taken back by the price, but didn't want to go with a cheaper system that didn't handle the run-off, but what they told me made sense so I went with them. I am absolutely delighted with my new gutters! Both the gutters and downspouts are larger than the previous ones and there is a double entry system at the top of the spout so that more water can enter there. The real beauty is a clever clean out trap with a screen on it about a foot or so from the ground. The gutters were constructed in once piece rather than in 10 foot sections like before. When I talked to Dan originally, I asked that he please be careful around my garden beds next to the house. After the installation, there was no damage whatsoever! I plan on using Kerr Gutters and Roofing to replace the remaining gutters some time in 2015.

Devin and Josh did a very good job at removing and installing some gutters which are over 3 stories off the ground. This is a job that some larger companies were unable or refused to do. It was a tough job and Devin and Josh got it done. Friendly and courteous, they were also very good at cleaning up afterwards. Well done!

We had a partial gutter replacement on the front of our house. There were some issues after the installation but Kerr took care of them immediately. Their staff was very responsive and easy to work with. After the first big rain of the fall, so far, so good!

Kerr Gutters were very professional. Showed up on time for the bid and quickly gave us the estimate. They had an opeining only a short time later and again showed up early for the job. They removed old gutters, installed new and downspouts and cleaned up after. We had a small road block with out deck but the guys were able to come up with a creative solution to work around it. We are very happy with the work they did and would reccomend them to anybody in the future.

Crew arrived right on schedule. Men were pleasant, efficient, and professional. They took care around foundation plantings and left everything tidy.

Dan Kerr, owner, responded to our initial inquiry promptly. Alex, a project manager, came to our home in two days to give an estimate. He addressed all our concerns, including possible fascia damage. Both men were extremely professional and courteous. Devin and Josh arrived on time to do the work as scheduled. They did a great job!!! The new downspouts and gutters not only look a million times better than the old ones, they FLOW CORRECTLY and DO NOT LEAK!!!!! They also installed a drip edge and fixed a few siding issues for us too. Great work!! We will definitely RECOMMEND them to others.

Very responsive - even answering my emails over the weekend! Crew arrived on time, did a great job, cleaned up our patio afterwards. Our problem of basement flooding is now fixed!

Dan Kerr arrived on time to provide roofing and gutter estimate. He and his crew arrived on time and removed old roofing and installed new roofing. Dan also provided new gutters, gutter covers and down spouts. Dan Kerr and his crew arrived on time, worked and then completed on time and cost was within estimated. The crew did the very best construction clean up I have had the pleasure to experience. I highly recommend this company for any roofing needs. His gutters are also of a high quality.

Dan Kerr came to our house and inspected our existing gutters and downspouts. We learned that previous installers(20 years earlier) had not put flashing between the gutters and the roof. Dan recommended new gutters, flashing and downspouts. He reviewed two styles of gutter with us and recommended which best suited our situation. We were getting our house painted at the same time. Dan agreed to send a crew to remove the old gutters before the painting and then return after painting to install the new ones. We were pleased with the promptness of both jobs since we did not want to be without gutters for long. The crew inspected the facing boards and made repairs before installing new gutters. Dan returned to the job on a third day to install leaf catchers at the ends of the downspouts, since they weren't available when the crew was here. We were very pleased with their work and their professionalism.

Dan offered a great solution that I didn't think of. I wanted to re-plumb a gutter system to alleviate the water dumping from one roof to another. Dan offered a simple downspout solution which works perfectly and pointed out how my idea would cause more work than needed to be done. He was quick and knowledgeable and didn't waste his time with the estimate or work. He always kept me informed of when he would arrive and was punctual in arriving for the estimate and work.

From the first contact to the final walk trough, the project was smooth, quick, well communicated and carried out. Dan was easy to express ideas and expectations to. He was professional yet friendly while being prepared with samples and options. The two gentlemen that did the installment, were equally as nice, respectful and skilled. They cleaned up well. Kerr's bid was in line with other Angie List bids. The reason I chose Kerr was due to the attention to detail when discussing adding a gutter to a shed. In order to add a gutter to the shed, a board needed to be nailed to the shed. While other companies told me that I needed to buy a board, Kerr was the only one who instructed me what type of board and to paint if beforehand. Looking back, it would be much more difficult to paint the board afterwards. I really appreciate the insight and advice. The gutters look great. One last thought that helped me choose Kerr. Dan is a vet. Thank you vets!

The men showed up on time first thing in the morning. They worked all day,cleaned up as they went, and did a great job. The owner (Dan) came to the house to inspect it after they finished. I didn't have any problems but i really appreciated that he came by to check.

It could not have gone better. They were on time and finished the job in the time they said it would take. I thoroughly enjoyed dealing with Dan, Shane and Deven. When complete, they cleaned up remarkably well. My neighbors marveled at the perfect job and the perfect look of my new gutters, as did I, of course. I put this off for so long, that I'm sorry I didn't have it done sooner. The house looks great now (read: curb appeal). Dan (the owner of the company) showed up right on time to do the estimate. He was very patient with all of my questions and thorough in his proposal. He even climbed onto the roof to check the condition of our roof and flashing. I had a couple of unique problems that Dan was able to assist with. Once I accepted the proposal a date was set for the install. Dan and his crew showed up right on time and went to work. They were extremely careful with our house and yard and did a wonderful job. They left the job site cleaner than when they arrived! I would highly recommend this company for any gutter projects!

I had a very simple job. After the ice storm a couple shingles on my roof came off. Dan came over to assess and discovered they came off because a portion of my roof was installed incorrectly. He had a solution to the problem and the bid was affordable. He also added a moss treatment. He is in the top 5 roofers for a reason. I referred him to two friends already.

They were a little messy and inadvertently damaged a security light above the garage. They agreed to pay for a new light to be installed.

Dan came out the same day I posted to Angies List (a Saturday) to do an evaluation and I expected our meeting would result in a bid and appointment for the work at a later date. Dan started his evaluation by getting on the roof and taking a look at the gutter system which he pronounced was in good repair and properly installed (see note below). Then he checked the connections between the gutters and the downspouts and discovered they were severely blocked by several years of accumulated Douglas fir needles (see note). He cleaned the blocks out in a matter of minutes. I have waited for several weeks for a good heavy rain fall to see if this got to the root cause of the overflowing gutters and it appears Dan fixed the problem--it was so simple, actually! The service was EXCELLENT but I rated the price as "NA" only because Dan had to charge me an "emergency call" fee--and that's reasonable. It's just I feel really silly paying $95 for a job I could have done myself and will do in the future. See the Note below. *NOTE: the Leafguard system I bought has a special top mesh to minimize needles getting into the gutters. My initial worry was that perhaps the gutter installers had not installed them properly and this was causing the water to rush down between gutter and fascia. I was worried that the solution would require them to be removed and remounted-- a huge expense loomed! After five years, I cannot fault the gutter system for the gradual accumulation of needles especially when I know that the system prevents orders of magnitude more needles from entering the system in the first place. Bottom line on gutter top systems: check your downspout connectors every couple years for blockage!

I called Dan Kerr to arrange for a gutter replacement estimate. He seemed professional, etc. Our appointment was set for 10:00 am, December 27th, 2013. After a half an hour of waiting for our appointment, I called Mr. Kerr. He "forgot", due to the holiday's etc. He did offer to come out. However, I don't think it's professional and I have learned that many jobs end just how they begin. It was a waste of my time. I can't spend thousands of dollars with a company that doesn't want the business. I guess the business has been good for Mr. Kerr this year!

This review is long overdue, sorry Dan. I had received 6 bids to completely replace my existing gutters. Dan's bid was close to being the most reasonable but I went with him because he came up with ways to fix existing problems that other companies did not. Creative thinking to solve a problem goes a long way. Extremely professional and nice to work with. Dan and his co-worker arrived on a Wednesday and began the job of removing all old gutters, and while doing so, completely cleaned off both the roof of the house and the roof of the garage. As they worked around the house putting up the new gutters, pieces of rotted fascia boards were replaced as needed. Ends of barge boards were cut off to allow the gutters to actually collect the rain instead of running under the roof tiles because of the way the old gutters were installed. They also installed steel mesh screens to keep the pine needles out of the gutters and make gutter cleaning much easier. Dan made sure to tell me that if there were any problems at all to be sure to call him. He stands behind is work 100%. (Thanks Dan!) We even discussed the cost of a new roof down the road and he gave me a very reasonable bid. At this time I wouldn't hesitate at all to have him put a new roof on the house too. The job took two days to complete and they look great. After they left, you never would have known they were there. Clean up was great. I would highly recommend Dan and his crew if you are looking for gutter repair, replacement or new roof. Thanks Dan and company, for a job well done!

I called Dan Kerr to see if I could get an estimate on installing a new roof on our home. We made an appointment for the next day and he arrived on time and very knowledgeable about the proper way to roof so as not to have problems in the future. We live on a hill that receives a lot of wind and we wanted to make sure there would be no problems. We made an appointment to get an estimate the next day. He arrived on time and we discussed the scope of the project. He reviewed with me the types and grades of roofing available, the cost for each type and the benefits of each. I made a decision but it has been too long ago to remember exactly which one I chose. I do know it was in the mid grade and mid cost. We scheduled a start date for a week later and Dan called a few days later and asked if they could start the next day. Apparently they had a roofing job that had been delayed by the contractor. Him and his helper arrived on time and started roofing. There was no need for a tear off as it had only one layer of roofing on it. Dan went up into the attic to make sure there were no indication of previous rain damage and found that it had solid sheeting under the current roof and no moisture damage. Dan was a very pleasant man to work with and his work ethics are impeccable. After seeing his work and seeing him go the extra mile in making sure it was installed correctly I decided to have new gutters installed also. This house is two story and he suggested installing some drain pipe clean outs that would help with gutter blocks. I had never heard of them or seen them but they are working great. We still have to have someone come out and clean the gutters but not as often. veI cannot say enough good things about Dan Kerr Gutter and Roofing. Dan Kerr himself is polite, low key, ethical and dedicated to doing an "excellent" job for his customers.

I am very satisfied with the service and experience with the owner of this company. He came on time and did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. He is very knowledgeable in his field and I really liked his honestly policy. He arrived on time and was even prepared with an extra downspout to replace if needed which I did end up needing and without an extra charge. I wish I hadn't already replaced my roof because I would have had him do that too!

I called Dan to get an estimate to replace a failing gutter on the rear of our house. He promptly returned my call and scheduled an appointment. He showed up on time (he even called ahead to let me know he was on the way). Dan was completely straight forward in all his answers, especially about leaf protectors. His bid was fair and my wife and I decided to accept it. Our job was pretty small and he said he would work it in at the end of a day if he and his crew finished early on another job. Just a few days later he called and said he could fit us in that day. Just like that, we had a new gutter. All in all, a very positive experience.

I had first gotten an estimate for new aluminum gutters with Dan Kerr over a month before, but because of his busy schedule Dan couldn't get to my place to install them until late in Oct. But with the Angie's List discount I felt I was getting a decent price for new gutters for both my house and garage. After negotiating a day and time Dan and his help was there promptly and got my old gutters off and new aluminum ones set up within a reasonable length of time. He installed free new drain screens for me and showed where one of my rain drains was clogged, with a suggestion on who to call to clear it. In all, a good experience with new gutters that will hopefully last a good many years.
