LeafDrop Gutters & Downspouts

The new black seamless gutters were installed in Nov., and look sleek and worked great. Then in June, a thunderstorm blew part of the back gutter off the house at the corner. It seemed some of the screws in the beams were put in too close to the sides of the beams and thus broke free. I emailed and called Dan with some pics and within a couple of days his crew was back to fix it with a new long section of gutter as the old section was bent. He had his crew also inspect the rest of the gutters to make sure it wouldn't happen again. They look great and there was no hassle or charge. Dan stepped right up and backed up his work. We would totally use them again for gutters or roofing!

Dan Kerr met with me to discuss the project. He was very professional and provided options, describing the different costs that would be involved. he was very accurate in his estimate. His workers showed up to remove the old gutters at the time period that he said they wood and did an excellent job. Mr. Kerr arrived on time to instal the new gutters. There was a problem following instillation that needed to be redone. I had minor difficulties in reaching him and arranging for his return to fix the problem, however this was indeed minor. He did an excellent job of fixing the situation, and I am very pleased with the result. Over all, he was very professional and the result was excellent at a price consistent with the estimate.

I was in need of new gutters for my newly built shop. In May, I searched Angie's List and found Kerr Gutters. Based on the reviews, I contacted Dan who promptly stopped by for an estimate. I told him that I needed gutters (very obvious) and that while I would not be making an appointment right away, I would do so when I had saved the money to install them (likely in a month or so). During this first visit, he asked what color I wanted. I told him that I did not care as they would be painted. Upon hearing this, Dan asked if he could use any "remnant" coils of material for the job. The colors would not match, but once painted, there would be no telling. I said, "sure, as long as they are functional and do their job". Dan said that they would carry the same warranty, and by using up his remnants, he could offer an additional discount. (Dan later admitted that he hates to waste any materials and this is what would have happened if he could not use up his remnants). After this first meeting and quotation, I had no need to seek other bids. When the time came to install them, I called Dan back to confirm his bid, which he did without question. His crew arrived as scheduled and proceeded to complete the install in less time than he quoted and the end result was fantastic! Observing Dan work and talking with him while he was on site gave me insight into his products. He is extremely innovative and this shows in his approach to a gutter system that will not clog. My shop was installed with very large gutters and downspouts, with the gutter drains containing very large elliptical openings that would pass old growth timber! From there the rain/debris cascades down the largest downspout I have ever seen into a clean-out feature at the bottom. I had never seen anything like this before. When the debris comes down the downspout, it is caught in the clean-out feature which has a screen built into it. This is removable which allows the leaves/debris to be simply emptied into a yard bin or other container - very clever! Dan and his team were very polite and hard working - even during a recent stretch of 90+ degree weather. I recommend anyone reading this review who needs new gutters/downspouts to hire Dan and his crew. You will not be disappointed! FYI, Dan is a military veteran who served our country, which shows in his work ethic!

I called Kerr based on the Angies list reviews. I needed to get an estimate for gutter repair for a home that I do not yet own but had a signed purchase agreement to buy. When I called them on Monday, they said they'd get out there and estimate the job. I did not write down the day they said they'd do that: when I called back on Wednesday and asked them to confirm the date, the guy on the phone said that they weren't able to get to it yet because they'd lost two crew leaders in that week. Fair enough. He asked for the details again and I gave them to him, including that I was not yet the owner of the home. Then he got inexplicably nervous and said that they don't do work on houses that are on the market. I explained that A) the house was technically not on the market because I was buying it directly from the family, B) that I needed estimates for all repairs in order to determine the purchase price and C) the work could be completed after the sale was completed. He said "we don't do that kind of work." I said "what kind of work? Estimate for gutter repair? That is LITERALLY the kind of work you do." Then he just repeated that he wouldn't help me and hung up on me. I am still flabbergasted by their response.

They were great very responsive and my Roof and Gutters look great. The roof cleaning was awesome. We have a ten year old roof and they hand cleaned the roof with brushes and treated to prevent moss grow back.

Dan Kerr responded quickly to my first contact and stayed in communication with me the whole time. I really appreciated not having to wonder what was going on. His crew came when expected and did a very good job. There was a small, accidental ding to my siding, which Dan remedied cheerfully and quickly. They cleaned up so well there was no hint that work had been done, except for the bright new gutters. I have already recommended this company to a good friend.

Dan and his staff were a pleasure to work with from the first point of contact until the last. The amount of time for the project Dan estimated was adhered to exactly. Everything was completed as promised and they did an excellent job of cleaning up. They even washed my skylights when they finished the roof ! I would highly recommend Dan and his team for any roofing or gutter job.

Fabulously. The owner is a kind and fair and honest man who kept his word and gave me a 5% senior citizen discount. Shane the worker did a meticulous job. It was a little difficult because my home is old and the gutters were really bad. He smiled throughout the process and did an absolutely gorgeous job. I will use this company on all my jobs. Truly they were a ten+. Also I hired this company on the spot because all of the great reviews and they were all true.

I just used "Kerr Gutters and Roofing" for a job to replace my existing gutters. Mr. Kerr and his work crew (Josh and Devin) were punctual, courteous, and demonstrated absolute professionalism while exceeding my expectations with their quality of workmanship. I was also very impressed with the extent to which they went in order to ensure that both they, and I, knew exactly what work was to be performed. While performing their work, if any unexpected issue arose both, Josh and Devin recommended various methods to resolve the issue, prior to going forward with the work at hand. Mr. Kerr's crew performed their work effectively and efficiently, while also ensuring that the quality of their work was superb. Further, during rainstorms I had an area on my patio cover that had been leaking water between the patio cover itself and the connecting wall. I mentioned this to Mr. Kerr and he instructed his crew to install a section of flashing over that particular area to prevent this from occurring in the future (at no additional cost). Hands down, Kerr Gutter and Roofing is the best in the business, and I would recommend them to my friends, and not hesitate to use them for any work that I may need in the future. John Bochard

Arrival was right on time which is usual for some of the contractors that I have had in the past. Dan had a large crew to get the job done in one day. They made sure the job site was clean and had me go around and inspect the job. They doubled checked on making sure that all the materials were picked up. The job foreman was very cordial and made sure that everything was done correctly. If they stepped on a plant they informed me and took responsibility for it.

Dan Kerr came out himself to do the inspection. He provided me with emailed photos of the issues with my roof and a description of what would be required to sort them out. The pictures were quite helpful because, due to the pitch of my roof, I would never have been able to see it for myself. The repairs were made promptly and he even offer his expertise regarding the estimated remaining lifespan of my roof (which was much greater then I had expected) and advice on how to deal with rain gutter issues. I would not hesitate to use Dan's services again or to recommend Kerr Gutters and Roofing to others.

Dan came out and did a thorough evaluation of what we needed done. We received our quote from him in a timely manner. His crew showed up on the scheduled day at the time we were told. They did a great job and were very professional. When they left they had cleaned up the debris and took away all the old guttering that was removed. The new gutters look great. Our neighbors like the look as well. I would highly recommend them.

Great! Dan was a pleasure to work with. My job was more complicated in the fact that the gutters were attached to soffitt and required more care in removing the old gutters and replacing with new. Our e-mail communication was prompt from start to finish. Devon and his crew were professional. It was a pleasure to see such a great job done expertly. I elected to have gutter covers installed as well and am very satisfied with the finished product. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

We recently had the eaves extended on the sides of our house as part of a roof replacement job. Kerr was engaged to install new gutters to match the new roof line, as well as new downspouts. This firm provided a detailed scope of work with their estimate and got the job done on the date promised and within the time estimated. We plan to eventually add a covered porch and ramp to our home and will definitely call on Dan to add whatever guttering may be necessary to complete this job.

There was a minor problem when the gutters were first installed. Dan, the owner, came out and had the problem fixed immediately. We had a very positive experience with Dan Kerr, the owner, and with his crew. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the market for gutters and/or roofing.

I'd thought it was broken, but it turned out to be just a simple clog. Dan was incredibly generous and unclogged the gutter and then didn't charge for the service even though a service call is usually $95. He was super helpful and I will call him again without hesitation if and when we need more gutter work in the future!

Dan was very timely in responding to my initial request to come to my house to give me an estimate for the gutter repair work. He called to confirm appointment and arrived on time. He gave me a verbal estimate and he emailed me an estimate. I responded with a question regarding one part of the job. He responded and I then responded that I would like him to do the work and to let me know when he would schedule me. I indicated that I knew that it would take a few weeks for him to get to it. Next--silence. I emailed a couple times, texted and called to find out what was going on. Nothing until he then emailed that he just saw my email and would check his schedule and let me know when he would schedule me. Then... through Angie's List he emailed and indicated that I should find someone else to do the work. The emails that he sent to my personal email were from Kerr Exteriors and the Angie's List correspondence is from Kerr Gutters & Roofing. The owners are both Dan Kerr and have the same contact information. As I indicated to Dan in my response to him--This the weirdest interaction that I have ever had with a contractor.

They did a great job. The workers were prompt. I would use this company in the future and they were very professional.

Really nice experience. They were pretty booked up so it took a few weeks to get into the schedule. They accommodated my schedule to work on a Saturday and were gracious about it. Everyone on the team was very professional and courteous. With quickness they dismantled the old gutters. They did a walk through with me and I pointed out potential problems with dry-rot and an angle issue with drainage on the one long-side of gutters that was about 40ft. They were able to work around to get the gutters stabilized. It was a cold windy day but it didn't seem to phase them. They fixed one small issue for me outside a sliding door that was it. I've had absolutely no problem with the gutters in the east gorge winds this winter. Thank you so much.

I had three companies give me bids and offer opinions on the best way to address our needs. I felt that Kerr Gutters and Roofing gave us informed, experienced opinions and asked a fair price. The work was done very well by an efficient, friendly and experienced crew and they did a great job of cleaning up. At some point in the future we will also need a roof and I will certainly call them.

The service was professional and reasonably priced, from the estimate to the installation. The estimator and installers were responsive to my questions and really seemed to know their stuff.

We originally thought we needed the downspouts replaced because the gutters were overflowing. Luckily, it was raining when they arrived to do the work, and upon further examination it turned out to be a problem with the leaf guards we had installed by a different company. As a result, the bill was half what we originally thought it would be. They also treated our roof for moss. I can't say enough good things about Kerr. We are absolutely, totally, and completely satisfied with everything. Really nice people, great work ethic, honest, punctual, and they really know what they're doing. We sell real estate and will definitely recommend them to clients who need this kind of work done. Excellent!!

They came by early and dropped off the large equipment, then 1 of the workers stayed and started tearing off the old gutters while the other went to get more materials. Both men worked very efficiently, and were quiet and extremely polite. When they finished I was given a "walk-through" tour of the job, and clarifications of my questions. I am pleased with their work - my nifty new leaf clean-outs look great, and everything was immaculately cleaned up.
