Mark, the crew leader, was quick to contact me after I found his company, Executive Care on Angie's List. Planning for the arrival of sod, two of the crew members came out, roughly a week before, to my backyard ans went over in detail the plan. He did a good job of interpreting our idea and reassured us his crew will have no problems. Once I returned from work, I could immediately see a difference in my land formation; the crew had leveled and slope the yard to my expectations. Mark explained what they were doing and how it would benefit the sod while still meetings our demands. Two days later, we saw the crew laying the sod down. The sod is holding well and, besides a few naturally occurring dead spots, continues thrive in our yard. I have already mowed it once and it still looks good. The guys worked incredibly hard in a very short given work schedule. They made a very labor intensive job look so easy. Mark's advice and design ideas were spot on. His aid in picking out appropriate plants was also invaluable. He could not have been more open about the costing of the project - total transparency on the calculation of the expense. A great bunch of guys.

Put up and took down our Christmas Lights and cleaned out our gutters during the process. He arrived when he said he would, did the job he promised and returned to take the lights down when he said he would. He was willing to put up the lights I wanted (other companies we spoke with only wanted to do specific lights). I am talking with Mark now about refinishing our decks.

My favorite was the focal point with the maple tree they planted. Others just wanted to plant a tree, but he made it a feature. They started immediately and finished quickly. Mark was in communication with me daily.

My experience with them was very good. This started out with having them do some work in the back, maintenance type work. Their attention to detail is excellent. The owner of the company worked with me on this design, he helped me tweak it a little. He and his crew were great to work with. Overall I was really pleased.

Mark was on time for his appointment and he spent a great deal of time with me. He showed me pictures of some of his work. He even called me sometime later just to check in. He's a great guy. But after talking with him all that time, I didn't get the idea that he was the right person for design and plant choice, etc. Fee was per hour.

They came out about a week later, and we discussed what we wanted done. It took a little longer than we had expected to get the estimate, but the final estimate was very well presented and detailed. They included excellent drawings which were not provided by some of our other candidates. The reason that we did not hire them was because we felt that the price was too high for what we wanted to do.

Wonderful job. Because of the large size of the yard and very rocky soil (6''-18'' boulders everywhere), I had trouble getting any bids. Marcus was very helpful in planning the job. He worked within my needs and budget. It was done very fast. It was finished in 2 days.

Three of the newly planted shrubs died within about six weeks due to a drainage problem that developed following installation of the new sprinkler system. I was quite pleased that Executive Care did the remedial drainage work for free. (I paid for the necessary materials).
